You don't need a dark ending to have a meaningful one. The happy ending what was the story needed. At the end of the day they were an elite squad and they won not because of the plot but for their abilities. Omega (or one of the kids) controlling the Zillo beast was a silly idea, she didn't even know about midichlorians or the force, after a few hours with Ventress she shouldn't be able to control a fly, much less a giant beast. Tech's death had weight and impact, not bringing him back was the right choice, maybe if the show had a few more seasons they could've played with that idea, but reviving Tech and killing him again of "saving him"? in the series finale was way to much for a single episode. I don't think that anyone had to die, the clones fought for the Republic and then for their freedom, they deserve to live the rest of their lives in peace, that being said, across the whole series countless clones died, just not the ones in the elite group. Crosshair didn't had to die, at the end his story ended in better way, he overcame the PTSD and made a shot with his not shouting hand using a handgun without a scope, at the end he had to overcome all of the trauma to save Omega, and that's more poetic than a sacrifice. The main premise of many Star Wars films is that they end with hope and I feel they nailed that feeling of hope of the ending here with the squad and many other Clone Troopers finally settling down and eventually Omega heading off to fight in the rebellion. So killing everyone in a dark ending was probably not the move.

They no longer needed their amour. But they will always be there for Omega and each other. I loved the ending of this arc.
I LIKE IT IT CONNECTED SOME DOTS WITH EPOISODE 7,8,9 WE UNDERSTAND HOW PALPATINE CAME BACK. THIS WAS A BOMB SERIES. I THINK THESE STORIES ARE ONLY CONNECT THE MAIN MOVIES AND OTHER STARWARS SERIES WHICH IS GREAT.
Disagree. This episode had me at the edge of my seat from the start because any one of them could have died at any time during that rescue. There was so much teasing from the people involved in this show online that fans believed it was going to be a tragic endorsement for so many of the Batch. Everyone was SURE that Echo, the last Domino, would fall because of the parallels that were made with Fives' final hours. Everyone was SURE that Crosshair would sacrifice himself in a bid for redemption, or maybe even Hunter. Most of us were surprised by the events of this finale, but pleasantly so. We hoped that they would have a peaceful ending where they got to live their lives on Pabu with Omega. A with the exception of Echo, who was always going to remain in the fight to free more of his clone brothers, they did. This was a spectacular final episode for a great show, and I am going to miss it.
Honestly the ending was refreshing after seeing the trope of someone making the ultimate sacrifice so their teammates can survive, or dead character coming back as some sort of antagonist it was nice that they didn't follow that trope AGAIN.
Not sure how anyone who cared could watch that finale and come away disappointed. This finale had all of the stakes without needing to cop out with cheap sacrifices. It genuinely felt like any of the Batch could be lost at any moment, and yet they weren't. Much better option.
This episode got me emotional. Clones are don’t usually get a happy ending. At every turn, I thought they were gonna get killed but I’m happy everyone made it out.
Wow, I’m so surprised to hear you say it’s underwhelming. I thought it was fantastic and it absolutely was dark. I’m glad the Batch survived but there was a ton of death. The finale absolutely showed that Echo was much more than The Hero of Anaxes or superfluous to Tech. Everyone got out because of Echo.

Someone did sacrifice herself for Omega..I guess the being she considered the closest thing to a mother blowing herself up and destroying all the evidence of Omega and her genetic code wasn't enough for you.
Nala Se's death was a thing, she avenged her people at the very end of the show. And it is fine to have a positive ending, not happy since the Empire is not defeated but positive for clones that were only brred for war and only knew it, it is but a moment of solace in regard of the timeline in a galaxy far faraway but it is moment of hope ^^
No, some fans have become totally obsessed with dark endings and character deaths but Star Wars was always about hope. This was also the "chapter" in the story about the Bad Batch, not the wider Clone Army - so why would the others come in to claim the ending of their story. We already know that more content is coming - just as Bad Batch follwed on from Clone Wars. Underwhelming? Not even slightly. The Batch survived because they kept together as a unit/family and all of thes deserved to survive (leaving them able to appear as supporting characters in the future, just as Rex and others did in their story). Scorch died because he had left his unit behind, diminishing himself in the process. Space is very big, so just because we don't see a character in the narrow window we are lookign through doesn't mean that they are automatically dead.
Reading your commetns, you seem to be in the minority with your overall perspective. As far as I'm concerned, I LOVE the ending. The Bad Batch cast are my favorite characters outside the original trilogy. If dark was what you wanted, The Clone Wars was dark (for so many of the clones in particular). The loss of Tech was dark. It probably should have happened in the final season, but it was still significant. I love the Bad Batch more than any of the other animated Star Wars series because it took the Batch 99, the outsiders of the clone army, and gave them significance. A happy ending is what I wanted for them more than anything! I am glad everyone was steered in the wrong direction and that all the speculators wrong. Feloni nailed the ending.
Here's a dislike. It wasn't underwhelming. It was amazing. YOU GUYS set up the insane expectations, YOU GUYS started the over hyping and theories. Jesus christ, get over yourselves. 🙄 These guys got a rare well deserved happy ending that actually makes sense. Vader coming in? Nothing set that or even hinted towards that. YOU GUYS DID. This is the toxic part I hate about the community. You guys set yourselves up with insane expectations. This was a great ending, and of course not everything will be answered. If you know your lore, the Empire had billions of experiments going on. All we can do is hope for another series. We lost Tech, we got lucky, the characters Fought their way and earned their survival, hell Crosshair even lost his damn hand. It didn't feel like plot armor at all. So again, if you were underwhelmed, THAT'S YOUR FAULT.
Honestly, thank you for this. At the end of the day, the show was called “The Bad Batch”, not “The Clone Uprising” or “The Clone Rebellion”. It was about 5 special clones with one of them dying along the way. That’s what this show promised and delivered
Agree… I think some people are just so critical… it’s a science fiction cartoon, why are people just piling all of their expectations and disappointments? How would it look if Rex, Cody, Wolff, Darby Vader, Palpatine, and the other 10 characters they’re mentioning all showed up? They’d complain about that too….
In rebels, the beginning seasons it was said that there were a bunch of cells that were not in contact, in charge of certain areas. What if the clones were one of those cells and either got wiped out or joined Hera and the others on Yavin-4.
I have an idea. So we know by the ending that Omega joins the rebellion. What if they revive Rangers of the New Republic but with Omega as the main character instead of Cara Dune. They could make the main characters Omega, Carson Teyva and Zeb
I was satisfied when they were sitting under the tree,(could have ended right there even) but the part with just hunter saying goodbye was cool too, id like to have seen all 3 of them at the end though....idk why it was just hunter, maybe because he was the father figure originally, it all started with him making the decision to save omega. still great ending, glad they didn't revive anyone, real loss, Suffering, these things are things that motivated our beloved rebels to take action, its what starwars represented originally, I got a lot of nostalgia with this whole show! thanks Dave he did it justice!
I swear, every single star wars mega fan is always underwhelmed by anything that comes out these days. I think it's the unreal expectations you lot put on SW in general. Not every episode can be spectacular, there needs to be bridging episodes to set up for new emerging stories or new seasons.
Im happy that this was a happy ending because i like the way that the writers knew we were expecting a dark ending but i feel like it was also a good conclusion to the bad batch because it let them use their skills and have one final victory to end the story.
In reference to the regs dying, not all of them died. It was the gas that Hemlock engineered, which he supposedly had an immunity to. The gas is meant to subdue not kill... I think.
During the time jump When, Omega told Hunter to take care of Crosshair and Wrecker. She did not mention Echo hinting that Echo is probably dead in the future. Even though Echo left to meet with Senator Chukchi.
I think that echo did die while working with rex, otherwise he would be either on pabu with the batch, or he would be in rebels, so if there is a show about rex and echo i think echo's death is guaranteed.
I honestly thought it was really good. Sure, some things could have been tweaked. But in this world of Disney Star Wars, this was a bright point overall. I still have zero hope for live action though.
What? Who wants a Dark ending in a mythology? You so called Star Wars fans whine if a story doesn’t go with your speculation you so want to be proven right. That’s why you leave the storytelling to those who do it far a living. Star Wars is about light & dark & the clones has seen more dark than light & you want a dark ending for the Bad Batch. You don’t know proper story telling then.
I’m glad someone said it, I watched a few videos after the finally and people are saying they loved it. Did I miss something? I thought this whole season was underwhelming actually and the best part was seeing Asajj Ventress again, other than that, this whole season was boring.
Hey as a fellow new father during the same timeframe to my baby boy, it really has opened my eyes to so much & trying to balance everything and getting my own channel off the ground all at 21 years old has just been crazy
the fact it gave us a suprise ending is worth every minute. Tech was not a commando and nala sey and rampart died its just a wonderful change instead of doing the obvious. As a dad the end was also the most impactful and it is just beautiful . Jurrasic bark vibes. ( futurama )

@@arctic_haze I don’t know about that even in the clone wars he was never a mean director. He was always the side one to do. Small stuff. People give him too much credit for what he does because half the time he doesn’t do that much he adds small stuff and side characters but that’s about it most of the time.
@@amymiskiman5086 This is not about credit but logic. If he is working on next series/movies, you cannot kill him a character he needs. I loved this finale, throughout the 40 minutes I felt like it could have gone in so many ways due to great story telling. If anyone didn’t tear up at the end then you need to go talk to a specialist because this was beautiful.
No Rex, Cody, Wolffe, Nothing done with the assassins Nothing with Tech Nothing with Zillo Nothing with Ventress I feel like there was so much more that that was maybe originally planned and meant for this series and it was all cut and this is what we're left with I mean it was good but far below expectations
Funny that its called the bad batch yet everyone expects cody and rex to be the main characters of the show, ventress appeared once to share info on the empires doings so there was no need to bring her back, the assassins were heavily involved in the finale, they captured hunter, wrecker and crosshair but then later died 1 by 1 to the batch, season 3 was based on omega being rescued and ending the stuff being done to clones on tantiss, honestly the episode did what it should have.
I think whatever show we get will follow Omega picking up pretty much as soon as she leaves and by the end of the first season she will have The Batch with her but under her command on a mission where we get everything filled in up until hearing about Leia's ship being taken by Vader.
It wasn’t the exciting, surprising finale that we usually get from Dave, but I thought it was still good. They set up a couple possibilities. What happened at Tantis could be the catalyst that rallies the remaining clones in the Empire to join Rex & have that clone rebellion. They also set up Omega’s rebellion adventures, which both ideas could be done in one show. Omega is a clone & cares deeply about freeing them all. If there’s a clone uprising she’ll be in the middle! I can’t wait for the next series. Regardless of what all the “popular we know Star Wars best” UA-camrs out there say, Star Wars is not dead! Yes, there are several bad shows, but those clowns find reasons to label everything bad! They used to love Filoni, but they’ve gotten so negative that they’ve turned on him & are pushing this Dave is stabbing Favreau in the back BS. It’s the “reputable” ones doing it! To stay on point, Star Wars is not dead, it’s just disabled a bit. As long as Dave Filoni is writing stories, we’ll always get something good to watch!
Honestly, I cried during the finale. I'm glad they got a happy ending, they deserved it, watching it I even said: "If the Zillo Beast doesn't burst out of the facility and roar like Godzilla I'm gonna be disappointed." And literally 30 seconds later I got what I wanted. Really no one needed to come to the Bad Batch's rescue, they had to get out of that on their own. That was a perfect ending for those characters and opened the door for Omega to do more.
People wanted them all to die, whilst complaining that cx2 wasn’t tech? I don’t get you …… I loved it! Glad they all survived but wanted to also see crosshair & wrecker at the end 😞x
I love the ending, but I also am sad because, Rebels kinda fucked what can be done next. It limits it because Rex, Wolffe and Gregor are limited now before they eventually end up on that planet. I'd like to see a continuation of their story to some-degree, but moreso a focus on all the clones from the Republic Era into the Empire, eventually ending with Rex and the others.
6:39 if she really is that tall then I'd love to see Ireland Baldwin play Omega in a future live role of her, perhaps taking place in 'The Battle of Endor'.

When they finally made it back to the island, it was a sense of peace for them.
This was a spectacular final episode for a great show, and I am going to miss it.
that’s crazy
Honestly the ending was refreshing after seeing the trope of someone making the ultimate sacrifice so their teammates can survive, or dead character coming back as some sort of antagonist it was nice that they didn't follow that trope AGAIN.
Not sure how anyone who cared could watch that finale and come away disappointed. This finale had all of the stakes without needing to cop out with cheap sacrifices. It genuinely felt like any of the Batch could be lost at any moment, and yet they weren't. Much better option.
Losing tech was hard enough tbh, not every needs to die. It was full on
This episode got me emotional. Clones are don’t usually get a happy ending. At every turn, I thought they were gonna get killed but I’m happy everyone made it out.
They absolutely wasted Scorch. It was mad disrespectful for a character that's almost as old as revenge of the sith
He was expendable
@@DaG.O.A.T.incorrect

I hope we see Cody and Wolf in future productions.
I doubt it man. All clone wars era stuff might be over now :(
And Howzer
and Echo fighting with Rex?
No matter what, somebody’s gonna complain. People expect too much.
Everyone got out because of Echo.
i cried a lot. The meaning of all of their history had a perfect ending. I was so tense the whole episode, i am glad that they had they peace after so many suffering and sacrifice.

"everybody survived"
me: remembering Tech .....
Justice for Scorch and Delta Squad
Call me crazy but I still feel like Tech is somewhere out there alive lol I never count anyone out until I see them breathe their last breath
i feel the same way, i really got sad about Tech but i really really do hope they bring him back
No, some fans have become totally obsessed with dark endings and character deaths but Star Wars was always about hope.
What are you talking about, this was beautifully written. Gotta celebrate the small wins when they happen.
Did the clones really die in the training room? Thought it was sleep gas.
True also. A lot of clones made it to Panu
that gas was the same that was used when Crosshair tried to escape Tantiss the first time.
@@empireofengland6039 some clones didnt follow echo
Im happy Crosshair survived, he really scared me when he tried to sacrifice himself…
That being said, RIP Tech and RIP Scorch
It’s the whole Mephisto thing all over again.😂
Yes Thank you Dave , you have created another wonderful crew and even better characters for us to look forward to possibly seeing live action versions
It’s not even another series Filoni just never ends any series he just rebrands with a new name.
I remember everyone thinking it would end with Vader killing each member one after another as they try to distract him so omega could escape.
Here's a dislike. It wasn't underwhelming. It was amazing. YOU GUYS set up the insane expectations, YOU GUYS started the over hyping and theories. Jesus christ, get over yourselves. 🙄
These guys got a rare well deserved happy ending that actually makes sense.
I'm here to support your opinion. I think the same
Honestly, thank you for this.
We don't have to let it go
Where did Echo go though? Omega only mentions Wrecker, Crosshair and Hunter when she says watch after them. Where did Echo go??
Back to Rex
Echo and Emire were on their way to whatever was left of Rex clone team. To me Echo was more 501st through and through than a member of Bad Batch.
@@MrThemarine145 I know that. I am saying it would be cool to explore more of Rex’s unite and see where they went
@@JimmyMac840 New series...
@@JimmyMac840 That would be a whole new series.
I really hope Dave Filoni gives us a Rex Gregor and Wolffe series. there's so many stories that could be told with that arc and the rebellion.
Tales of the Rebellion!!
@@ellechic9904 Im so IN for that!
It pisses me off that they killed Tech and nobody else
Tech was my favorite and a good character. He deserved a happy ending after saving them multiple times. And I don't mean he had 2b a cx clone.
I'm really happy they all survived they deserved Happy Ending ❤ I mean everyone thought that they will die but they didn't which made it even better
We do know what happened to Cody. He went AWOL. That's all we need to know
All clones deserve to have happy endings
ummmm...... lest we forget we get conformation we indeed lost Tech. I thought it was not underwhelming whatsoever.
In rebels, the beginning seasons it was said that there were a bunch of cells that were not in contact, in charge of certain areas. What if the clones were one of those cells and either got wiped out or joined Hera and the others on Yavin-4.
I like how after war hunter looks like the hippie stoner dad.
FCKN DISNEY DDNT SHOW US CODY AND WOLFFE !!!!!
Would of liked to of seen at least Rex but as everyone says. This is about the bad batch!
I LOVED the ending to this show
sure Tech could have came back ( he is my favorite) but this was soooo good that I can't even complain!!!
I’m pissed we lost scorch!
Im happy that this was a happy ending because i like the way that the writers knew we were expecting a dark ending but i feel like it was also a good conclusion to the bad batch because it let them use their skills and have one final victory to end the story.
And what pissed me off we didnt got to see wolffe again
I loved how they mirrored Rex and Ahsoka salute ...except Omega didn't have a bunch of Clones trying to execute order 66 on her lol
So about how old is Omega supposed to be compared/ relative to Luke and Leia when she leaves for the rebelion?
She's 13-14 years older than Luke and Leia, and was probably around 17-18 at the end of this show.
To see Darth Vader possibly have a mental breakdown seeing the bad batch again would of been cool.
Why would vader have a mental breakdown over clones he worked with?, he was literally willing to kill ashoka.
Why does vader have to be in everything? It's quite boring how small some people's imagination can be
I honestly thought it was really good. Sure, some things could have been tweaked. But in this world of Disney Star Wars, this was a bright point overall. I still have zero hope for live action though.
2:29 wait, WHY WAS HE IN TRAILERS THEN?!
he wasn't. youre thinking about the tales of the empire trailers.
I uhh dont think he was, are you refering to the new tales of the empire trailer?
Same question. He was in the trailers of season 3, even two of them
@@timelordvictorious5508 no, he literally was in Bad Batch season 3 trailer, even his breathing was and lightsaber in some teaser
@@roguetheoutlander8800 what trailer? He never made any appearance in. Bad batch trailer. You may have seen a fan made trailer. There are tons of them
The clone uprising so 27 clones who bit the plasma bolt shortly after being freed
The thing is, when you have a dark ending generally theres always room for a sequel. Thats why they made a happy ending with everybody surviving.
Very underwhelming and boring all these people praising it makes me wonder if they ever watched og clone wars
From what i saw like half the clones lived. The gas doesn't kill just makes you unconscious
I still hope we get to see the unfinished clone wars episodes at some point. That would be absolutely amazing
My dream ending would be that the 3 brothers were turned into the clone assassins and echo and omega had to kill them in order to escape.
with omega now joining the rebel alliance, im wondering if omega and rex ever bump into each other on yavin 4
Hey as a fellow new father during the same timeframe to my baby boy, it really has opened my eyes to so much & trying to balance everything and getting my own channel off the ground all at 21 years old has just been crazy

Star wars:omega squadron
the fact it gave us a suprise ending is worth every minute. Tech was not a commando and nala sey and rampart died its just a wonderful change instead of doing the obvious. As a dad the end was also the most impactful and it is just beautiful . Jurrasic bark vibes. ( futurama )
"thank you dave"
for what? he was barely attached to season 3
you should be thanking the actual people in charge, brad rau and jennifer corbett
not falsely crediting dave with their work
I thank you but I have no doubt that it was Dave who decided "who lives, who dies, who tells their story".
So who dies is not dependent on the showrunners of a given series. Not in this Universum. Not to mention episode screenwriters/directors, who nowhere have this power.
@@arctic_haze well most of his stuff he makes pretty much sucks apart from just a few series. I mean he worked on. A lot of Askoka show as the main Director and it did not turn out good at all so why I do have a little bit of hope in him I hope he takes more time on what ever he makes to make sure it doesn’t turn out bad like a lot of stuff in the past
@@arctic_haze omega probably will appear in live action in the future but that would probably be the only person
The story was very contained, but definitely not underwhelming.
I loved this finale, throughout the 40 minutes I felt like it could have gone in so many ways due to great story telling. If anyone didn’t tear up at the end then you need to go talk to a specialist because this was beautiful.
One thing I’ve just thought of is, where’s the shields on the ship when they shoot the engines. Surely it just deflects?
No Rex, Cody, Wolffe,
Nothing done with the assassins
Nothing with Tech
Nothing with Zillo
Nothing with Ventress
I feel like there was so much more that that was maybe originally planned and meant for this series and it was all cut and this is what we're left with I mean it was good but far below expectations
Nothing interesting with Scorch. Just killed him in few seconds.
Every UA-camr guessed poorly with TECH
I think whatever show we get will follow Omega picking up pretty much as soon as she leaves and by the end of the first season she will have The Batch with her but under her command on a mission where we get everything filled in up until hearing about Leia's ship being taken by Vader.
Not the ending we wanted. But the ending we needed.
What do you mean it was super dark, they just randomly killed scorch like he was nothing.
My guess is after tales of the empire we’ll get a tale of the clones where we’ll see the fates of these clones
Yup, I think that’s definitely gonna happen at some point. I’m not sure we’re gonna see another long animated show during the empire era.
Keep wishing. Time for you to grow up and leave the cartoons behind.
@@Commander23c bruh, animation ain’t going anywhere in Star Wars, especially since it’s been doing better than live action.
People wanted them all to die, whilst complaining that cx2 wasn’t tech? I don’t get you ……
I loved it!
I was expecting rex and his boys pull up in a republic cruiser.
Why are y'all trying to kill off the clones bro😅
6:39 if she really is that tall then I'd love to see Ireland Baldwin play Omega in a future live role of her, perhaps taking place in 'The Battle of Endor'.
