You know what hit me? I found a video of an Egyptian female reciter once and i read the comments… when i tell you my heart broke to pieces!!!!!!
Men were literally saying : astaghfirullah who let her do that?
Astaghferullah I can’t even listen to this!!!
And so on … I literally felt like i wanted to cry it out because why would Allah’s holy words be impermissible to recite?
And why would anyone sexualize the voice of someone reading Quran regardless of what gender they might be !!
I’m convinced that some people don’t actually make an effort to understand our religion they think that if they were born with it , they shouldn’t learn more about it!

If a man gets turned on by a Quran recitation, then it’s not the woman‘s fault. He must have a lot of dirt in his heart. A true believer would never think about Allahs words like that no matter from what mouth it comes from. Women and Men are muslim, we both are on this earth to praise Allah. How will men ever accept women if we are not engaging in the Ummah, stop blindly following scholars they are one of the three kinds of people who will first enter Hell. You don’t know what is in their hearts. You have to use your own brain too.

Your comment is absolutely disgusting as you've sexulized and targeted Men unjustly making them seem like desperate perverts. I'm not surprised this is coming from a woman! This has nothing to do with men getting turned on by a woman's voice, don't flatter yourself, not everything is about you. This is about the Qur'an and Sunnah within the realms of Fiqh. I doubt you even know the meaning of Fiqh. It's about women constantly competing with men in literally EVERYTHING! Trying to be men! Soon we'll have women like you saying it's okay for a woman to lead Salah in Masajid and that men shouldn't get 'turned' on by it when it's not about that, it's about the rules and regulations. You're only annoyed because your claims are not authentically backed up and when you're called out on it, you start throwing the 'arousal' card about how men should not be turned on etc. It has nothing to do with men getting turned, it's about the rules which clearly woman like you and this UA-camr have a problem following. Equal doesn't always mean the same rules.

@@Mr.C.365 Bruh what you getting emotional for? How is women reciting quran competing with men, not everything is about men don’t flatter yourself. Literally so many men and scholars say a woman shouldn’t recite quran cause they believe the voice is awrah and could turn on a man. Why are you accusing me of believing a woman leading salah with non mahram men is allowed? Uhm lol the rules and regulations in Islam are for a reason and made by Allah. But rules and regulations made by culturally influenced and misogynistic scholars, is not what I follow. You are clearly a insecure man because you don’t want women to be great or able to do good or recite the quran. I would recommend you to get therapy and pray a lot.

Legality of women's recitation of al-Qur'an in the presence of men is governed by Shari'a ruling concerning her voice. Thus, we have two states.
1- A woman's voice is normal, i.e. without stretching, humming and so on.
2- A women's voice is with tone, stretching and so on.
There is no harm for a man to speak with her, listen to her and discuss with her unless one may be pleased by talking and listening, i.e. it becomes Haram as in Ahmad's narration even while reciting the Qur'an.
As for the second state, it is Haram for a woman to speak in the presence of alien men as long as there is stretching and so on in her voice and it is Haram for men to listen to her. Since it is normal for a reciter of al-Qur'an to demonstrate intonation, it becomes disliked for a woman to raise her voice while reciting, fearing temptation. But, if temptation is not possible, then she can recite and others can listen.
According to al-Shafi'ay, it is disliked for a woman to perform her prayer loudly in the presence of alien men for fear of temptation.
In 'Kashf al-Qinaa, a woman is required to perform her prayers secretly in the presence of alien men.
According to Ahmad from 'Mahna' that a woman is advised to pray secretly at night.
Then too, if such a woman traveled to Canada without a Mahram, she would commit what is Haram, and she is required to repent.
      Allah knows best.

I can't speak to any Islamic jurisprudence on this matter but i CAN say that hearing a woman's voice reciting our beloved Qu'ran, full of power and emotion and reflection, makes my heart glow. To me, Islam is about equity in rights and refuting social injustice, just as much as it is about manners and adherence to social, familial and religious obligations. And equity is grounded in access and liberation. So recite away, my sisters!

The Best of ALL creation our Messenger (ﷺ) was a Man. Do you have a problem with that? Allah chose men to lead and that comes with certain criteria. Why do you women NEED to compete with men in EVERYTHING? Why is it always 'if men are allowed, why aren't women'? Why do you not understand the warnings our beloved Prophet (ﷺ) gave us? Why do you blast all men saying everything is dictated by men when Allah gave us that responsibility? It seems to me like you're not happy with the rules Allah has placed for you. The women who are leaving Islam and choosing feminism are clearly indicating this. If certain women prefer feminism over Islam then that's their loss, not ours. Islam is in no danger from such people, anything or anyone. Especially such loser mindset women, or men! Our noble Prophet (ﷺ) said, “I have not left a trial after me more harmful to men than women.” (Bukhārī 4808, Muslim 2740)

And how do YOU know who is perfectly following Islam. Awf ibn Malik reported that the Prophet ﷺ said, 'The Jews split into 71 sects: one will enter Paradise and 70 will enter Hell. The Christians split into 72 sects: 71 will enter Hell and one will enter Paradise. By Him in Whose Hand is my soul, my Ummah will split into 73 sects: one will enter Paradise and 72 will enter Hell’ (Abu Dawud, Tirmidhi).
The Companions asked the Prophet ﷺ who the group which entered paradise would be, and he gave a clear answer that gives some peace of heart to the believers.
He replied, ‘Al-Jama'ah’. Al-Jamaa’ah, the largest one. He gave an empirical answer that is objective, not subjective, and easily discernible.

This is almost the same as music -
During an EID festival of Islam,
a group of young women were even playing the Duff ( a kind of drum ) and singing PRAISING songs about Islam,
    And Aisha,
the wife of prophet Muhammad or maybe a few other women were listening to them singing too.
Prophet Muhammad was just at one corner maybe BUT HE DID NOT PROHIBIT anything,
even to her own wife too to not to listen to them.
    HE WAS JUST QUIET !!
Abu Bakar, the father of Aisha felt that the SINGERS were doing something bad and told them to stop....
BUT prophet Muhammad just to him to just let it be..........SINCE it was the EID anyway !
If even singing praising songs to do more goods is a BAD thing, surely prophet Muhammad would have STRICTLY forbid it !
    ---------------------------
    So my advice is :
We too can WARN people to be careful when certain people are too strict as to EVEN PROHIBIT woman who wants to read the Quran just for the SAKE of ALLAH !
Because you may even have committed one of the GREATEST SIN in Islam too for doing that to Muslim Woman !

I watched this video in the hope that you would show some evidence from the quran/sunnah to support reasons why it is permissible for women to recite in public domain but was sad to see there was nothing mentioned.
This argument is the same as to say many parts of the world allow female imams but this does not make it ok as its not from Islam and is forbidden categorically.
The common sense point here is that a woman's voice is alluring, enticing and therefore should not be beautified in the presence of men and recorded for anyone to hear except in a live form for women only gatherings. Sister please don't ask sisters to recite on social media for all to see and hear.
For anyone here who has doubts on any practices in islam please refer to the Quran and Sunnah alone and not from practices of cultures and communities that have drifted away from the teachings of our beloved Prophet SAW.

But I thought this could be common sense. I wonder why women reciting Quran publicly would be a fitnah, the prophet's wives memorized the Quran, and they gave speeches and narrated hadiths, so how is sharing knowledge, Quranic knowledge assumed as fitnah. I admired people who are Hafizah, and Hafiz and Allah make it easier on some people than others, so I always find them inspirational, and their dedication always shows. It is so weird how we are always looking for evidence (evidence to be educated?) The first verse revealed said Read! Recite! What evidence are you looking for? As said, Allah will not come down and solve our problems, we have to do so ourselves. Let the women recite, and whosoever wants would be inspired can follow them, and we only pray that Allah forgives our shortcomings. We won't often get it right, but we could try.

Sorry but let me correct. We muslims have duties. It is fardh for us to aviod sin firstly and secondly to do good deeds. Avoiding is must and to do good deed while your doing sin is unaaceptable. For example, women reciting quran to gain rewards or to gain His pleasure while disobeying Allah through reciting it publicly, while men hear her voice is definitely waste of energy and is haram. Also u said that many non-muslims are led to Islam through women reciter; In qadar, if its the qadar of that person or those people to be guided, even those female reciters dont recite, since it is their qadar to be guided then they will be guided causes even without them reciting. Its doesnt mean that if they are guided though you dosent mean that you guided them. Allah is the one who guides. Your just a way. And He can guide them without you. So basically, we just need do our duties about avoiding sin.

actually this is *not* seen in America overall, except for incredible institutes of Quran like the Tibyan Center in MN. That center tabarak Allah has so many Quran memorizers graduating from their institute and they have sent multiple women and men reciters to the Dubai International Quran competition and those women and men have won the entire competition. They regularly host competitions with women reciting in front of everyone and their precision in recitation and teaching *all* of the qir'aat is incredible. Unfortunately we don't really have many other examples like them in the United States that I know of, but I appreciate how enthusiastic you are about thinking this is part of a Muslim American norm!
It is common throughout many parts of the world where there are populations of Muslims. Indonesia, Morocco, Malaysia, Nigeria, parts of Yemen, Singapore and Algeria all have conferences where women recite in front of men and recite on television alongside men Quran scholars. This is supported by their scholars. America is far from having this as our norm in Muslim communities.

A woman came to the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, and he said to Aisha: Do you know this woman? She said: No, O Prophet of God. He said: This is the singing girl of the son of so-and-so. Would you like her to sing to you. She said: Yes, so she sang it.

Try to concentrate on her recitation. Anything which brings you closer to ALLAH is not haram. If a woman's recitation can bring someone closer to ALLAH, then y not?

When I saw MANY WHITE female Muslim converts in youtube SPEAKING about the greatness about Islam, my IMAN as a Muslim skyrocketed !
But then, there other fanatic Muslims who still prefer criticizing them because they USED their voices too much in public and never wear Niqab, even though they already covered their face.
PLEASE people................VOICE & FACE is NOT the MAIN attraction of women.
Men cannot be easily be attracted to just VOICE & FACE alone !! It simply DOES NOT WORK that way !
    ------------------------------
Even if you wear the FULL HIJAB and FULL NIQAB ( see youtube ),
you will STILL ATTRACT men tremendously if you naturally have a very SLIM body and likes to wriggle too !
FACE & VOICE totally NEVER PLAY a PART here !
As a man, I am TOTALLY NOT attracted sexually or lustfully to you right now, even after hearing your VOICE or saw your FACE !
