Apparently there were 55000 at this year's Ozora and it certainly felt like it! The Atmosphere was absolutely incredible! I still get goose bumps watching this!
@@justcox Veteran Ozorian friends of ours said it was the busiest by a long shot and the 55000 number arose from the sold tickets from 2020 and 2021 which were still valid.
@@PsychelectricJourney It was overbooked and overpriced, hot and dusty. Long lines out in the open in scorching heat for everything: showers, bathroom, tap water... The check-in took us 5h, with reports of some people waiting over 10 hours to get their bracelets. The free water they provided was warm and hard to drink, the alternative being to buy cold water from them at 1.8 euros for 250ml in metal can, horrible taste but at least it was cold. The music was the same like ten years ago, the stages overcrowded, not enough space to dance, not enough shade... Thieves stealing anything that was left unsupervised for more than 15min, from sandals to tent raids . Such a disgrace and utter disappointment. I know other people enjoyed it, but for me, being my 28th psy festival (yes I like to keep a count on them and Ozora is included) I could not ignore what was really going on ...or maybe I'm just getting too old for this :)
@@bssc776 I understand and agree with what you say, things like this shouldn't happen, they are upsetting for any normal people. But we in the "psy" community are not normal people. :))) "Let it go" brother and enjoy the freedom that I'm sure you have inside.
@@bssc776 it was hot, for sure. I don’t know why the organisers insist on doing Boom during the hottest month, maybe they can’t get permission to do it at another time. I had a better experience than you but probably bc I was volunteering. People that volunteered stayed in the short term camping area which had guards. We also got free daily meals/staff water (although the full-sized staff water bottles ran out after around 5 days and we also had to drink from the cans!). I felt there was decent shade and the lake to cool off in, we didn’t have issues finding space to dance either. It was my first time at Boom so can’t compare music to 10 yrs ago but pretty sure ppl like Palestinian DJ Sama weren’t playing back then. I did hear from one of the set designers that the temple designs were inferior to prev yrs but to someone whose never been before it was pretty cool. I had an incredible time but there were definitely pain points like the slightly odd tasting free drinking water and the queues for food. But then the variety of food was amazing! If you’re a foodie, you’ll like Boom! I would def go again and would love to volunteer again too, but would pack better for the heat/dust.
2:41 that wonderful second before it starts
