@@hashslingingslasher9981 Freddie doing well for the Dodgers which I expected. I'm not upset with him showing emotions about his return to Atlanta while L.A media are just mocking him about it.
Won't ever happen. Dodgers are synthetic, braves are organic... Plus he was there 15 years... can't just jump into that level of comfort. He went from being around people that he basiclly grew up with the last 15 years to being around a completely new crowd, crew, teammates.... He is not comfortable there. It shows every day
@@charlesyaryan6619 how are the Dodgers synthetic?? They have like the nicest group of players this year. And I’m a Braves fan!!! We loved Freddie but it was time for a change. But sometimes it takes players to adapt to a new change
As a Braves fan myself I was ad to hear he was leaving especially after the world series. I also got kinda sad in the game when they handed him his world series ring and showed a video of his high lights on the jumbotron Freddie has a right to be sad he was with them for a decent amount of time and raised a family while on their team. Much respect to Freddie
@The_Vicman006 Olson is as good of a replacement as you can get, not many players can match what Freddie's does but Olson will give you more power than Freddie for sure, he just broke a doubles record as well
so they dont resign him because of the years but then aign olsen to the six year deal they didnt give freddie and gave up prospects to get a younger less productive version of freddie.i hope there was something else going on besides his age because if it was his age then that was extremely selfish thing of atlanta to do considering what he has meant to that organization and what he has gone through for them.i guess loyalty doesnt mean shit anymore when you just move on to the younger model when you dont think you need the older still productive model anymore.i like olson but damn that was a shit move atlanta.
Yep you are right, Freddy might’ve been a Southern California boy but we adopted him in Atlanta and he misses the fans that he knows so well; The fans he was able to finally give a championship to after so many years and so many good teams in between. He misses us, the fans who love him, who know him, who watched him develop as a player, Thats only natural, Particularly when LA fans have a tendency to BOO their own players. I am a Giants fan first but I live in Atlanta and I follow them very closely. When the Giants lost last year (final out on a called strike 6” outside btw) I sucked it up, rooting for the Braves and thoroughly enjoyed watching them beat the Dodgers and win the World Series.
If you’re one of the best players in a franchise’s history you can do whatever you want. If Kershaw left after the Dodgers won a ring and was emotional in his first games back in LA he wouldn’t have this backlash
Fuck Kershaw. You don't tell someone who played for a team for well over a decade how to react your first game back especially receiving your world series ring. It shows the difference in character between freddie and Kershaw.
During the current season, Freddie's on-the-field contribution to the Dodgers has been greater than other individuals who have been with the club for several years. He should be allowed to feel his natural emotions without having his loyalty to the Dodgers called into question.
As a Braves fan, I agree with you completely! Freddie's a very emotional person. He always has been and always will be. If the Dodgers don't like that, they got the wrong person. Freddie's also a professional, a great player, and a great person. He hasn't changed that either. He obviously still loves Atlanta, the Braves organization, and fans. That hasn't stopped him from producing and playing well for the Dodgers. Freddie will give 100% to the Dodgers and return as a Braves legend when he's done.
Braves fan here also and I agree with you completely. Well freaking said. He doesn’t need to qualify why he feels the way he does and he’s not going to let the Dodgers down. The story should be focused on a baseball player who truly cares for the game and did great things in ATL. God forbid he’s emotional the first time he goes back to the place he won his first World Series and developed real relationships with so many people over the course of years.
@@Belowthaheavenz who cares dodgers will just buy another player like the old hated Yankees used to do that everyone was so pissed about.. just let the man play leave him alone
Okay I don’t have to watch this to know that If anybody is tellin this man to get over a loss like that after 12 years then they are absolutely bonkers crazy. Ridiculous
What “loss” exactly? Dude just won an MVP award, World Series title and a $160 million contract all within the span of less than two years. I think we all know there’s going to be emotions involved…we’re human after all. But be a professional and a teammate to your CURRENT team. Sometimes the buddy-buddy attitudes today are too much and it extinguishes the competitiveness and loyalties. Be loyal to your current team because we are in the here and now.
@@metfan099 What I meant by the loss was leaving a team after 12 years can take a toll no matter how it happens. In my opinion it’s okay to show emotion like that I think if people understand why that’s happening or do but want it to I think is ridiculous.
Bruh it hasn’t been a full year yet and you must not understand how it is to be with a team and winning all of those things and then being kinda dumped out to the side which Freddie wanted to stay in Atlanta
@@metfan099 the thing is.. he IS being a teammate. hes literally their best hitter lmfao. once everyone whos not named trea turner decides to start actually producing at a consistent level, maybe then they can be frustrated about him showing emotion about leaving an organization that took him this far

Haha, it's not just like dating. You shouldn't get involved in a new serious relationship until you've already moved on from your ex. That's not applicable in sports since you gotta strike while the iron is hot.
@@yungplouie Absolutely! If he doesn't and just happen to have a slump when playing against the Braves, the fans in LA will start to question his loyalty.

Freddie's been anything other than a Brave for 4 months, compared to the 14 or so years he spent in the Braves system. On top of the fact that he was their star player, a fan favorite, etc. Shit, I wouldn't expect him to really be over it, especially this being his FIRST series back in the ATL since leaving. I get what Kershaw's saying, like, that chapter is basically over with, but it really is too soon to expect him to have moved on emotionally... and it's not like he's not contributing. Sheesh. By this time next year, I'm sure he'll get used to being back in the area where he grew up. No worries, Kersh might be overreacting a bit (certainly the news media is).

Freddie loves the Dodgers! He’s finally back home. He essentially started a one ☝️franchise player who wants to make sure Atlanta doesn’t forget him by visually showing that he will never forget the Braves. @@matthewcollins8602 Yeah so? Agents get let go all the time. With the boiling tension and strife bewteen Acuna and Freeman and others on the Braves, all in all- the trade was best for both teams and Freddie is playing great baseball and winning for LA. He’s happy.
@@joecook1989 no denying rather or not he's happy but it's obvious at this point that he didn't want to leave Atlanta which is literally on the agent he just fired.
He spent 14 years on the Braves and was arguably the most loved player by the fan base. How the hell do you expect him not to be a little emotional. Screw Kershaw and screw the Dodgers.
@@shirleebostrom7230 Actually Freddie’s agent screwed him. He held out on the Braves to try and get more money and didn’t tell Freddie. At a certain point the Braves had to make a decision because in there minds they were losing Freddie. So they got Matt Olson. When Freddie found out what his agent did he fired his agent and there will likely be a lawsuit. The Braves tried to get him and it’s not there fault that Freddie’s agent did what he did. They also had to keep the teams best interests so that they could keep winning and get a decent first baseman.

Definitely, I had doubts about him doing that when he left because the whole situation was weird but a lot of Braves fans were initially left under the impression that Freddie was ready to go home to SoCal, especially now that he has three little kids. After this series Braves/Dodgers series in Atlanta though, something fishy happened behind closed doors because its quite obvious he did not want to leave Atlanta. He will be back when his Dodger contract is up, even if it's only for a day.
@@matthewcollins8602 I think it was pretty obvious from the get-go that his agent screwed him over. I just think he barely did it now vs immediately after he signed with the Dodgers because the weekend trip back to Georgia reopened wounds and made him him realize how badly his agent screwed him
@@Wolf-wc1js I completely agree. Before this past weekend I was thinking that Freeman was just as much involved as agent for leaving the Braves but there's no denying now that he wanted to stay in Atlanta for sure.

I'm willing to be wrong, but I don't believe the Dodgers clubhouse itself is too concerned & it seems somewhat more likely we're just inferring too much from what Kershaw said. I don't think this story has legs.
He kinds of reminds me of my feelings after I left a job that became toxic because of the power structure. I loved the organization, but the new people they brought in is crashing them. We had a good thing going, but again, it came down to the new leadership that made it impossible to stay.
Freddie was offered a five year, $135 million deal by the Braves but turned it down. He could have signed and stayed with the Braves, and never have to worry about putting food on the table. He chose the Dodgers because it was more important for him to get that sixth year than remaining loyal to the Braves. Poor Freddie!

I was at the Saturday game of the braves and dodgers and man, the Braves fans were giving him an earful. I’m a mets fan, and personally was a fan of neither team and never have been, but I felt for the guy. Especially with tweets coming out about how he left his agency recently because of what happened with this off season. Was this decision Emotionally charged? For sure. Clearly something didn’t go right, and this weekend proved it. But He’ll get over it. Atlanta will always have a special spot in his heart. Same with other players when they leave home for the first time in a long time. He’ll be forever engraved in Braves history, and when he retires, there’s no doubt that the Braves will honor him. If he gets to the stage of the HOF, I’m sure he will be engraved as a brave on his plaque.
My assumption is that he met with Atlanta brass at some point during the weekend and after he heard the story from their end realized that it was his agent that fucked him.
Kershaw is lucky to even factor into a few handful of Dodger games these days unlike Freeman who has actually contributed to many Dodger victories in 2022. Even in his prime Kershaw couldn't deliver in the postseason when it mattered.
Kershaw is already 100x the player that Freddie will ever hope to become. Freddie plays hoping he'll make enough of a case to make it into the Hall of Fame. Kershaw can give up 150 runs without getting another out in the MLB and still have a sub 3 ERA. He is a shoe in first ballot Hall of famer. Nice try though bud.
So I get it. Players can celebrate homeruns like they just won the world series yet a player who has been with an organization for 12 years can't show too much emotion.
I am a Braves fan and I was upset to hear Freddie took just about the same contract that Atlanta offered him but for the dodgers. Braves fans despise the dodgers and for him to do that and then get upset makes no sense. I still love Freddie and he is such a great person and I love him. I am just a little confused

I’m pretty sure the Dodgers players were quite pleased to see Freddie help them seal the deal on their extra inning comeback win (🤬) against my Atlanta Braves last Sunday, lol.
I’m sure he’ll be fine long term. It seems that he probably wasn’t happy about the way things went in the negotiations and that’s why he’s changing agents. I think it’s important to remember that the braves moved on too.
The braves moved on too bc his agent didn't tell him about the offer. Lol He would've taken a little less to stay in Atlanta but his agent took the better deal bc he wanted more money for himself since they get a percentage. That's why he's now fired, scumbag lawyers are terrible. Hope more players fire him.

I don’t think he’s being a cry baby. That’s just his personality, some ppl can be tough and some ppl (like me) can break down and show every emotion in the moment.
Moved on or not, just remember Dodger fans - Where would this team be without Freddie? Betts with a broken rib, Max can’t hit half his weight, Turner is struggling, Bellinger is just barely clearing a 200 average. Freddie’s heart may still be Atlanta but his production is helping keep the Dodgers afloat.
And to be fair, his family is in Atlanta. That plays a huge part of it. Atlanta is his adopted home, seeing his wife and kids at the stadium just dug deep for him. It'll take time.
Life long Dodger fan here. I never thought Clayton Kershaw would be a dick but now we know. He would have signed with the Rangers in a heartbeat if the Dodgers hadn't stepped up after the lockout, because he's one of our own. So Freddie was emotional over the weekend. That was his home for 15 years. Only natural and he's only human, especially the dog way the Braves treated him at the end. He has that first visit back behind him, which had to be so stressful. He'll be fine and we Dodger fans love him.
LOVE Freddie Freeman, he's everything thats GOOD about Baseball, doesn't give you that sickening punk brat feeling like Tatis jr. and Acuna. Furthermore, what's likable about Freddie is exactly those emotions you're frowning upon, he's human, and a deep feeling, kinder, gentler ball player, who put's up MVP numbers, he's allowed to be nostalgic and "feel", that's something this generation lacks.
He's not a brave anymore so i think he needs to focus on dodgers, awesome ball player no matter where he is, but in professional sports people get traded so feelings need to be left at home!!!! I agree with Kershaw most definitely!!!!
Actually the main reason Freddie didn't go back to Atlanta was because of his agent. His agent wasn't being very "helpful" when getting a contract worth the time and money from Atlanta for Freddie, cause of this, Freddie had fired his agent. I also feel bad for Freddie honestly, despite being a Dodger fan and being happy about freeman joining the team, I also felt bad for a lot of Atlanta fans as they had lost one of their most favorable and best players. I'm really curious to figure out what it's going to be like once the dodgers return home and how the fans will react toward Freddie
Freddie is a Pro's Pro and he will give the Dodgers a 150% every time he takes the field. A lot of people working over nothing. They should have realized this after the first LA/ATL series at Dodger Stadium. No matter how Freddie feels he is going to play his hardest no matter what his Uni says. As a Braves fan I've always appreciated that about him. I wish him much success with the Dodgers. I'm sure he will have it there !
Can’t blame the guy for being human..I love this guy I’m a dodger fan but a baseball fan first.he’s a badass not only dose he miss his team but they miss him too it’s all love enjoy the game.
According to an interview with ChipperJones on the Atlanta Sports Fox radio station. Freddie turned down 2 extensions during the 2021 season and 2 offers during the offseason that we know of.
That comment from Clayton Kershaw isn't really something to read this deep into. He's just a genuinely nice guy with a lot of empathy and he's being there for his teammate. I don't think it comes from him being "tired" of Freddie Freeman's still lasting emotions for the Braves.
come on. this is a non-story. atlanta moved on first by trading for matt olson while freddie freeman was already on the open market. anyway, a freeman trade back to atlanta would require matt olson and austin riley. atlanta can get freeman back in 2028 after his contract in LA is up and then he can play DH in atlanta and retire a brave.
I think the biggest issue is that Freddie knows he did this to himself and he can't change it. He tried to blame the Braves, most likely because his agent bad-mouthed the organization's response, but don't forget Chipper warned him it would happen. Freddie will be fine and will do what he's always done - get on base, be consistent, and be a good teammate. Give him time, folks, it's only been a few months.
Freddie is a genuine guy as almost everyone can agree on. He didn’t won’t to leave Atlanta. He made it perfectly clear in the off season if the Braves would come close he would stay. Well the Braves was close enough for him to stay a Brave but his agent screwed him. I’m believing he also got all this info about his agent before the press conference so his emotions are running wild. He’s lived there basically his whole career. I understand he’s a professional and that’s the way it goes. But it’s like being married and all of a sudden your wife wants a divorce and moves your kids across country. This is all new to him. As crazy as Atlanta is LA is even crazier! Plus it’s like changing schools and not knowing anyone! He will get over it, he will be back at the top of his game and more than like lead the Dodgers to the World Series.
If I was Freddie I would have gotten emotional too and would have unapologetically given a speech about how thankful I was to the fans and the braves. These feelings are normal. Kershaw got his ass lit up against a whack ass Rockies lineup… awkward performance… Freddie freeman is a GOAT already and can think or feel anything he wants.. leave the dude alone. Dude has proven himself already and earned his stripes.
he made so many memories with the braves once again he was there for 15 fookin years and so u can't blame him if he misses his remakes and the relationships he made during those cistern whole years
If you compare Kenley Jansen to Freddie Freeman, it is almost identical. They've both been with each organization for many years and have accomplished many things with those organizations. Kenley Jansen had helped the dodgers to a World Series title and Freddie has also. But when Jansen got standing ovations from the crowd at Dodgers Stadium he wasn't balling and when he was in the post game press he could handle the pressure. I don't know if it was the team that made the difference but I think that Freddie has a bit too much love for the Atlanta Braves.
I think there are a couple of sides for this story. Yeah, the Braves didn't want Freddie, and I think it's adding to the already high emotional return. I can't blame Freddie for how he's feeling towards Atlanta. I get it, I'd feel the same way if I was at his situation. He loves the city, the organization, the fans, everything. It's been his home for the last 15 years, so we can't really expect from him to fully get over it in a short period of time, or to not get emotional when he's coming back for the first time. I think that also the Dodgers' club house understand that. Kershaw said some really wise words, and I think he just wants Freddie to feel home and comfortable. Just because he misses Atlanta doesn't mean he's not loving LA/the Dodgers, or not having a good time there. The city loves him, us Dodgers' fans love him, and I'm sure that the club house loves him

LA needs to get over it. Is it affecting his play? No. So shut up and get over it LA
This is like telling someone who lost their mom to get over the loss of their mom because they got a new stepmom
Mom and a baseball team aren't even close to being a good comparison. Nice try though, bud. L comment
@@lou2056 this is an L comment. It's an analogy you salty dodger
This is a boggus story. He has so many memories in Atlanta. A man can be emotional. I mean look at Gretzky going to the Kings. Dude balled his eyes out. Freeman is a Dodger and he will be just fine, People just need a story and this is a story that is far from the truth. Look at his numbers this season and tell me he is playing "second fiddle."
Cringe clickbait title
Bingo
He just played in Atlanta for the first time as a visiting player. Obviously he was gonna be emotional. This a bunch of BS.
Having watched almost all of your videos up until now, I must say I do see an anti-Dodgers bias of some kind on your part. All your Dodgers stories have been negative, or implied bad things about the players involved. This is really an overblown story based on two words Kershaw said in an aside after an unusually emotional game
Yep. People are running with this. Kinda annoying
Anybody saying freeman to get over it they don’t understand what Atlanta meant to freeman and what he meant to Atlanta let him be emotional when he comes back to the place that made him famous
I seen the first upload titled June 28, 2022 😂 banger vid tho
Hahaha yeah mistake by me. Glad you enjoyed!
What Kershaw said was BS, he's never been in Freddie's shoes.
I really don’t care
Right on. This is been blown out of proportion.
You gotta remember he was there for what 15 years, in terms of his baseball life he grew up in ATL. It's like coming home, I'd get emotional too.
I understand his emotions but at the end of the day it was his and his agents fault he couldn’t go back Braves wanted him and offered him contracts but he didn’t accept and the closer it became to either lockout or spring training the Braves needed someone at first and they couldn’t wait forever
What does the team not wanting him back have to do with being reminded of the time you spent there?
@@DankBirdGang52 the team did want him back it’s just him and his agency fucked it up so instead of pushing what might be a dead end they get another good first basemen in Olson
Freddie's agents messed him over. He fired them. It wasn't his choice.
12 years all I gotta say give a man a break. I'm a Dodgers fan by the way. He was made in Atlanta he became who he is as a player as a Brave I'm just happy he picked the Dodgers 🤷🏽♂️🤙🏽🤙🏽
because of his agent it sucked for me and felt off when he gave the dodgers the lead in the extra inning thriller vs braves.
Damn that’s wild that Kershaw said that. Sounds like jealousy to me tbh 🤷🏽♂️
Dodger players should be upset over another year of ineffective bullpen pitching. Kimbrel is washed up. Has been for a couple of years.
Weird how dodgers players are jealous.
Dodgers players are weird money hungry choke artist. Something that comes with being in liberal land
Yeah they have no clue what it is like to actually be on a true team that has real chemistry. Dodgers are Synthetic, Braves are Organic... and it shows... Kenleys first trip back to LA since leaving he got boo'ed and all kinds of disrespect to a guy who was with the team over 10 years and was outstanding for them.... It shows you can have all the money in the world and cant buy a happy team...
@@charlesyaryan6619 that's pissed me off.
Very weird
@@charlesyaryan6619 "organic" 😂 kinda like the "organic" hatred that acuna and freeman had for each other. All you bandwagon braves fans are a joke. There's as many bandwagon braves fans now as there have been bandwagon Dodgers fans. Only difference is the Dodgers fan base is 10x bigger.
I don’t think he’s being a cry baby. That’s just his personality, some ppl can be tough and some ppl (like me) can break down and show every emotion in the moment.
I think it's a nothing Burger with extra drama for flavor.
Cut the guy a break. It’s ok to cry. He had gotten bad advice and got put out with the garbage. It’s ok to have feelings.
Freeman is a dying breed. There aren't many class acts in sports anymore
Trea turner batting .311?
Why the fuck does everyone hate Freddie freeman? That dude could play for my team ANY day.
He's not a brave anymore so i think he needs to focus on dodgers, awesome ball player no matter where he is, but in professional sports people get traded so feelings need to be left at home!!!! I agree with Kershaw most definitely!!!!
That post game press conference was just embarrassing
Neither organization deserves Freddie Freeman. The best human on the planet who also happens to be one of the best baseball players ever.
Dude has proven himself already and earned his stripes.
he made so many memories with the braves once again he was there for 15 fookin years and so u can't blame him if he misses his remakes and the relationships he made during those cistern whole years
He's just a great player either way. Nobody really cares where he's playing, we'll all still be watching lol
I love this channel; It's where I find all the gossip related to baseball. I await for these videos every day LOL.
The city loves him, us Dodgers' fans love him, and I'm sure that the club house loves him
Dodgers fans get over it!
