Excellent video! The typical new Canadian youtubers have the same journey. Come to Canada. Buy a car. Buy a house. Drone shots drone shots. Crib about snow. Crib about cooking/cleaning. Crib about healthcare.
Just shows that 1-2 years experience in Canada doesn’t make them an expert and that’s why more people should follow you because you have the experience and you’ve been there and done that!

My brother moved to Saskatoon with his wife and 5 yr old daughter in 2019. Unluckily in 2020 the child was diagnosed with a blood cancer. She got the best treatment for free which we could not arranged in India even after spending crores.
By God’s grace the child is now leukaemia free.

I understand healthcare is free. But , I don’t know! I live in Taiwan and here also healthcare is free but you don’t have to wait for hours for anything. You will be taken care of in hardly 10-15 mins! The healthcare is so hi tech and world class ( govt hospitals). Canada and Taiwan’s population are almost same but the difference is there are more doctors and more beds ! I think Canada has to make more doctors or reduce their regulations and bring in more doctors from all over the world to keep up with the growing population. Free doesn’t mean they can make you wait in pain for hours and hours :)

I never believed that medical system can be that bad of such great country and glad to know its certainly not, initially when I came to US and faced some disappointment but quickly understood how things work with medical system and supposed to work, now my faith in the medical system is built strong, but importantly you cant imagine life without insurance because medicines are very costly incase you have to pay out of pocket. And story in US is totally different than Canada though.

I did not know about micro emergency in Canada. Thankful to you guys to clear our thinking but please remember that healthcare is not free in Canada. You are paying heavy taxes for the same. Please understand while it may seem free because at the time of treatment, you are not asked for money but you do pay direct and indirect taxes and sometimes it's almost half of your earnings. Nothing is free in this world.

    • @ridhikakhanna6383
      @ridhikakhanna6383 3 роки тому

I'm sure the skilled people and people doing good jobs are in the higher tax bracket.
Secondly, yes... we do not get much healthcare in India if you compare it with taxes that we pay. Nonetheless, we have an option of taking a good medical insurance and going to a specialized doctor for treatment. Try that in Canada.
Also, I am aware of India's healthcare shortcomings. But my point was not to compare india and canada. I am just saying that nothing is "free" like it has been portrayed in this video.
You are paying extremely high taxes without proper healthcare and attention and with no other option than to stick with the public healthcare system as private insurance is poor in canada and private healthcare is non existent.
      Take care. Peace to all.

@Mukund Gupta first of all there is no need to call names. Please behave like a matured educated individual which I'm sure you are. I'm just trying to have a rational discussion. I was seriously considering Canada for migration and it was my top choice and hence I started re searching about various aspects of living there. I spoke to many of my friends and relatives who are doing well in Canada. They love Canada but were open minded enough to admit that general healthcare is a serious drawback of living in Canada and only emergency services are good. I also personally did a lot of research and saw a lot of videos and read many blogs which confirmed these findings. Honestly I was also quite disheartened that it is actually true.
Again I would like to emphasize that this discussion is not about Indian healthcare vs Canadian healthcare. This is about the merits and demerits of Canadian Healthcare alone. Please see this with an open mind about Canadian Healthcare.

Hello guys, I am a big fan of all your videos, kudos to all the hard work you do. I actually wanted to know if you could shed a light on how was your experience moving from a big city like Toronto to a relatively smaller place like Saksatoon, like adjusting to the new place, availability of resources, food, etc? Like what was the biggest surprise, what should anyone considering such a move be aware of, etc

And what about delayed Scan dates, delayed surgery dates?
People don't compare indian private hospitals with government hospitals of canada, they compare the ease of getting health care system in India vs canada.
I agree that in India health care system is costly but at the same time it is easily accessible, even you can get your treatment done in a private hospitals with just a 20k/year health policy.
But in canada you have to go through long waiting hours to get your MRI/CT scans done, they have to wait for eternity to meet with a specialist doctors.
There is a difference between being realistic and being positive all the time, today in canada the healthcare system is so much burden that people are suffering lot from this.
What will you do with your so much fantastic healthcare system when you can not get treatment at the right time?

We go to hospital because we need treatment, so it shouldn’t be time taking process, i agree they gonna priority the emergency first but govt should increase the staff, broken hand and even the person who can’t breathe both are on their own emergency situation government should increase staff/hospital

You are absolutely right in saying this. But our point is that the health care is not as bad as it was being portrait. There is always a scope of improvement.

Well it was strange to know that you had to wait for hours standing in ques for your covid vaccine in a developed country like Canada,
We here in Lahore got our online registration around two weeks back, then they notified us our date, on which we easily got our vaccine without any hassle

      I live in Maharashtra,
I'm waiting for my vaccine since more than 4 months now.
Nothing is organized here, they don't keep a track on who came first, what's going on in the line and every week I spend about 2 hours in line and go back to home.
Also the nurses/doctors who inject vaccines are the worst and always seems unqualified.

Like if i want to check my blood report or normal check up, then???

All you have to do is visit your family doctor or walkin clinic if you dont have a family doctor. Checkup is not an emergency situation and one should not go to the hospital for it.
