Formal request that the 50k subscriber special be a video of just every "Begin" in chronological order. I want to see the slow descent into chaos all mashed together
Thirded. Not to say it's my favorite part of the show, but I have a surprising expectation every episode. It's my cherry on top of the delicious cake you're bringing us.
Tyler here - just wanted to note for anyone considering building the Gale deck that it feels SO good to play ad naus into possible interaction when you know you will get another chance to cast it (from gy with Gale). If I was going to refine this deck I would probably remove some non-free interaction because you just don't need as much defensive countermagic when you get two chances at everything 😂
You obv have a sense at making decks, would you be able to make one of these commanders at a lower power level? (T6-ish/Mid) I love the idea and playstyle of commander, but I suck at making decks 🤣 Also great job on the win! I gotta watch it a few more hundred times to follow it though lol
5:42 archon of cruelty is the go to non-legendary reanimator target in 1v1 formats but its ability only targets one opponent and its power might also be predicated on 20 life total formats.
@@fosterdawson7339 yeah but that is probably only three damage to each opponent and isnt really enough to be meanningful. At least archon can help strip away your opponents hands over time. What ends up winning games of cedh is either combo pieces or value engines. interacting directly with your opponents life total is not usually helpful. Thats the reason he probably put sun titan in the deck because even if it is weird it serves as a psuedo value engine.
He can do whatever the HELL he wants. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 ……. But doesn’t Tyler USUALLY DO whatever the HELL he wants? I’ve watched this channel for a little while….. Great Video you all.
What an absolutely incredible Gale pop off, I was contemplating building it and that looked cool as fuck, hopefully in the others games we get to see the other commanders a bit more, but boyyo, Gale swooped the fuck out of that game Also, I feel like "I don't know, maybe today's not the day to be upside down" is something a lot of us think day to day, so I'm glad someone vocalized it
Im so happy about Dylan played that deck I was messing with it immediately upon reveal I'm probably not going to build it but it's crazy they're both uncommon and will be awesome combo deck
I'm not a cEDH player (I mostly play at precon upgrad level) but sometimes cEDH is fun to watch. That last turn was insane. Finding lines with all that interaction on the stack is a feat. My Abdel Adrian deck with Candlekeep Sage doesn't get that complicated even though it technically has combos. It's mostly just pick 2 blink or banisher priest effects and go infinite.
Idk if u guys noticed afterwards, but in the video you state you need viscera seer for the animate dead abdel combo, but when abdel enters the battlefield exiling the animate dead and it leaves the battlefield, abdel gets saced cuz of animate deads ltb -> animate dead returns So those 2 go infinite and u dont need viscera seer
this might be my favorite Thoracle win win ever simply because of the fact that the final 2 card combo ended up being played in reverse and on another person's turn.
Didn’t matter but you when you played the sun titan you could have targeted animate dead and with the target on the stack sac the sun titan. Then reanimate the sun titan with animate dead getting back the ranger captain. Didn’t end up mattering but you end up practically the same except you get animate dead back.
That win was nuts being able to pull that off post ranger captain, but let's be real if anyone was gonna pull that off it would be Tyler. Liked the Abdel build, thoughts on going Candlekeep Sage instead of Agent. You get access to deadeye and all the perks of Azorius control/flicker effect. Draw your deck with candle keep while gening near inf mana and win through thorace or even just extra turns after making a ton of 1/1s.
I built a more casual version of Raggadragga just for fun, and in goldfishing it regularly combos off between turns 5 and 8, so with an actual competent deck builder it should be able to do some crazy stuff.
Wouldnt it have been easier to go with a "infinite mana loops build" with Raggadragga. Marwyn dont need much to go infinite in that way ? I loved that episode so damn much DAMN THAT GALE POPOFF
Emergence Zone goes in every cEDH deck. No need for vedalken orrery/leyline EVER again. I’d dare say even in “casual.” Winning on other’s people turn is the best. Well played. 👍🏾
I know it didn't affect the outcome of the game, but Yawg Will and D Tutor should have been exiled after being cast using Gale's ability. Absolutely awesome to see Sun Titan getting some love, and Emergence Zone continuing to facilitate wins all without taking up a spell slot
because it's way too narrow. What else dos Stifle and Hushbringer hit in cEDH that a counterspell or a different answer wouldn't? You want your cards to be as relevant as possible in as many matches as possible. So yes, Stifle would be good versus Oracle lines and stuff like Dockside or Godo, but it would be dead in so many other matchups that it's generally not worth the risk. What if you go against Thassa/Tymna or any of the other decks of the format? What does Stifle do for you? You don't make your deck better by running super niche answers, at that point countering one of the combo pieces would be better.
What do you think about Void Winnower in Cedh as a reanimation target? I used to do Zur Reanimator that used rule of law plus Nullstone Gargoyle, and Winnower was my backup nonlegendary target👍🏼
Was the begin your actual voices? It sounded like Tiny Tim. Also great games per usual, will always stay a subscriber and avid watcher. Also, just to name all the possible combos for orzhov reanimate (unmarked grave) you have boonweaver giant, karmic guide and revilark lines and also Brought Back is a great two mana card for combos if used properly but its also very fickle.
Pretty sure Dylan could have gone infinite with sun titan when he played it. Get animate dead with titan trigger and sac titan reanimating it with the animate dead. Sac it, recur it, this would allow you to scry through your entire deck.
maybe im missing something but gale's ability should exile anything cast with it? i dont think it ended up mattering but a few cards that were cast with gale definitely got put back in the graveyard i think? anyway great vid as always!
Hey Dylan and Cameron! I’m wondering if you think Alaundo the Seer would be a possible cEDH deck? I’ve been building a budget version and I think it’s a pretty insane twiddlestorm commander. Idk if it’s maybe good enough for cedh but definitely worth a shot

Being subscribed since the beginning and seeing how much this channel has grown makes me so glad. I love this channel and it’s a staple to my weekends
i'm so happy to hear that
I also wake up every Sunday and watch play to win before I even have coffee or food, this is usually the best part of my weekend
Tyler earned that W. That was the most incredible Thoracle win i've ever seen.
Wow!! That was a great game! I was not expecting to see Gale pop off! That was nuts
Damn. You know, I normally don't like Thassa wins... But this...
"Naus?"
"Ranger."
"Emergence Zone. Pass"
This was... Insane.
I had the emergence zone since opening hand :) the plan was always to be sneaky
5:42 archon of cruelty is the go to non-legendary reanimator target in 1v1 formats but its ability only targets one opponent and its power might also be predicated on 20 life total formats.
With Abdel it’s really strong actually, because it straight up wins off the infinite flickers
Maybe Gary since this is multiplayer?

@@j.aratusmacdonald7041 that makes sense, I’m so used to building decks on a budget that Gary is my number one slot in vs archon
Tyler seems great at navigating unfamiliar/new decks and playstyles. He was also really dangerous with Grolnok when Innistrad came out.
just came in here to say that i really appreciated the "Ghost Tour" reference that Cam threw in there (jizz)
Seriously this channel deserves more views
Love the outtake at the end guys! You are my favorite cedh channel. Love the metal vibe all around

@4:45 I'm so proud. That animate dead delayed trigger is tricky and you played it correct
That Gale deck and win was so cool, Tyler did a great job
yeah, especially seeing how excited he was about this commander+background pairing in one of the previous videos, so cool
You are right Dylan that win in the stack was so sweet I didn't expected it at all.
I come for the I Think You Should Leave quotes but stay for the CEDH gameplay.
At 6:30 Dylan was a kaya’s ghost form and a Zuluport cutthroat effect away from infinite etb’s and death triggers
What an absolutely incredible Gale pop off, I was contemplating building it and that looked cool as fuck, hopefully in the others games we get to see the other commanders a bit more, but boyyo, Gale swooped the fuck out of that game

Tyler's so good at magic, that win was sick
That one was a thinker. Very much enjoyed. Thanks, everyone.
Did Cam make a subtle “I think you should leave” reference? Because if so I’m loving it
Probably. Basically all of us quote it at each other regularly
I'm glad you guys kept up with what was targeting what, on that stack, bc I lost track for sure lol!
Unmarked grave for Leonin Relic Warder! Makes infinite sacrifices happen with animate dead.
I have been looking forward to this all week!
Im so happy about Dylan played that deck I was messing with it immediately upon reveal I'm probably not going to build it but it's crazy they're both uncommon and will be awesome combo deck
"Maybe today's not the day to be upside down" will now go into my quote bank! :D
Happy to be late to work nearly every Monday (I live in New Zealand) because I'm watching your guys' video before I leave my house :)
That Emergence Zone Turn was SICK !
Solid big brain plays by Tyler. Great content. Solid showing or at least solid threats by all the new commanders.

My favorite "Begin!" yet
As always, amazing content guys! Love the alt commanders
I Love your videos, im learning new mtg interactions all the time. Thank you for amazing content
Dang, I was pulling for the WereBoar, but that was a hell of a win
Tyler was suppsoed to exile the Demonic Tutor and the Yawg's Will since they were cast with Gale's triggered ability
Man, I love watching you guys play
I love you guys
I dont play Completive commander but these videos are always amazing and show me why I dont lol
Just another episode, another casual ITYSL reference. Very nice.
this might be my favorite Thoracle win win ever simply because of the fact that the final 2 card combo ended up being played in reverse and on another person's turn.
The content you guys produce is awesome!
i thought i wasnt much of a fan of the new DND set but this gale win was super spicy. much love, guys, thanks for using the silly begin!
Gale was amazing to watch. I built Oskar Rubbish Reclaimer and he can do some similar stuff. Would love to see the 2 compete in the same pod.
Great video! One thing to note is that it is spelled Baldur haha. Keep up the good content, you guys. Favorite cEDH channel easily
Thanks!
Tyler, thats amazing, win in opp turn 👍
Great games, kind of disappointed that no one was upside down.

Didn’t end up mattering but you end up practically the same except you get animate dead back.
couldn't you just bring back animate dead and have it attached to ranger Captain for the same effect?
Gale is actually so good I think it warrants testing in my Malcom/Tymna cedh deck.
*longest silence ever*

DAMN THAT GALE POPOFF
Love the decks can't wait to see how they'll do in the overall meta!
That Gale was absolutely sick, felt like Kess on crack.
This was the coolest Thoracle win I've seen
I use to run a semi convoluted inf mana combo in black. Phyrex altar, gravecrawler, and mikaeus unhal.
For the orzov deck at least. Little fragile but it was fun

Tarnished citadel but no snow covered plains. What a chad.
I'm excited to build raggadragga!!! Should be lots of fun!!!
my top choice is Cavalier of Dawn
removal and you can bring back the animate dead if it dies. Rune Scared demon also works
Oof I’ve been looking for a Dimir deck that isn’t Yuriko lol this Gale deck is SPICY might have to build it
4:49 Couldn’t Dylan created a Construct at yhe end of Cameron’s turn?
Maybe he wanted to keep interaction, and that is why he didn’t.
I know it didn't affect the outcome of the game, but Yawg Will and D Tutor should have been exiled after being cast using Gale's ability.

I think the same, I was looking if someone already posted about it.
yay here we are at play to win!

You should totally do a leyline start match
I would love that
I would love to see a supercut of all the 'begin!'s
Great content!
Hell yeah another week another episode 😎
This was awesome
I've the electric boogaloo 2 reference I use it in all my sequal deck names you guys kick ass
I love lol
Flavor win: playing the Animate Dead with Sun Titan on the art.
I heard ‘JackOffMyGift’ instead of JackoMcGiff and I couldn’t stop laughing. 😂
I can see why gruel decks aren’t popular in cedh. Mans just vibing in the corner with his mana dorks
"This is the adult tour, so we can say whatever the ~hell~ we want"
when you put multiple sorceries on the stack at the same time during the opponents turn.
That was awesome.
Boonweaver Giant could be another option for Unmarked Grave but personally I think Sun Titan is better if you're in just Orzhov.
With Thassa's Oracle being the most prevalent way to win in cEDH, why don't more people run Stifle like effects? Or hushbringer effects?

Although it still doesn't make the cut for me, Tale's End is by far the closest to being a playable choice since it can also counter commanders.
ik you mentioned it but you missed concealed courtyard and silent clearing as WB land options over the tarnished citadel
sun titan is my favorite too!!
We must be more avant-garde with the "Begin" clip, someone has to be floating sideways while wearing a horse mask.
That was fuckin sick. Wow gale is cool af
Gale does a lot
Was that an “I Think You Should Leave”reference at 9:04?

Raggadragga dork stompy is the absolute best name.

Which ones?
@@PlaytoWinMTG demonic tutor and yawg's will at 10:06. it was a big stack and the game ended immediately after so it really didnt matter at all tbh :p
