This is gross oversight and rush to market and no concern for Bassani to make this right. They were one of the first pipes to say they fit the Sport Glide and have cost a lot of people money, because they have to switch out after installing this. This has been a known problem. You can clearly see from the way the pipes are crammed in front of the cam cover and the height compared to back axle nut this is big issue. I am so glad you made this video series. I chose pro pipe from Vance and Hines for multiple reasons for my sport glide. Looking forward to seeing what you come up with.
Well done to you for such an honest report. The Bassani pipe is clearly not fit for purpose, at least on the Sport Glide. I’d waste no time in removing it before it causes a major ‘off’. Ride safe!
I think it's mighty stand up of you to worry about misleading someone else about buying these pipes and having the same type mishap. You are a fine man and a great vlogger. Another reason I joined your channel. Cheers and stay safe.
I myself recently test rode the 114 Fatboy and Street bob back to back. I'm 5'10" and found the Street bob really cramped and uncomfortable. Strange as my Iron had mids and I loved how comfortable that was,I thought the street bob would of felt similar. That 107 fly's in the street bob though, but I felt like I was about to slip off the seat when hard on the gas which spoilt the ride even more. Really like the idea of the Street Bob and doing a club style build on it but I'm leaning more towards the Fatboy now,I know a completely different beast but Jesus Christ it has some serious road presence and is so comfortable,I was surprised how much angle it leaned before touching the floor boards down. The sport glide looks sweet, first time I've seen one the other day at the dealer and it's like two bikes in one. Good to know about the Bassani problems on the model👍 The Fatboy I took had Jekyll and Hyde pipes o it which were fantastic, not cheap though. £2.5k for the slip on pipes with the valve in and £3.5k for the full system with headers😲
You've done a great job of this video in addressing this issue.. my advice is change the pipe to a different brand and move on.. let the manufacturer sort the issue out now that you've exposed it .. Yes a custom pipe is a great idea.. don't worry about us the public, we investigate this sort of thing anyway.. Love the protect.. this issue is exactly what it's all about.. Well done.. Thx
Hey Mark, I think messaged about this a while back when I first put these same road rage on my Sport Glide. I’ve had it scrape twice when I’m going slow and turning tight. What I’ve done is turned the suspension up one click and it hasn’t scraped since (fingers crossed!)
Thanks for your diligence in keeping us up to date on the project and yes this does effect the buying decision for least the sport glide community, you'd think Bassani would make this right and retrofit or make the necessary revisions to do the right thing. Al
I agree with you on this, I think the best option would be highway pegs, mids and a different exhaust. I like the custom pipe idea but I think keeping to parts that anyone can buy/afford is best so people can really see how something works 🤘🏻🤠
It'd be interesting to see the Bassani Road Rage system with the alternative header routing that you mentioned (on the Street Bob). Their website does have options for the Sport Glide with that header routing. If not Bassani then Two Brothers 2-1 seems like the best alternative. That's the exhaust I'm most likely going to be putting on my Sport Glide and I've heard nothing but great things about it (sounds great and no scraping). Also there shouldn't be any reason to switch to mid controls to fit any of these exhausts and if you have a relatively long inseam you might find the mids to be pretty cramped.
This is definately a safety issue. Weirdly I was talking to a lad who has this exact issue about a week ago. He said it had a huge effect on his day to day ride and he'd ordered some Jekyl and Hyde (iirc) pipes as a replacement because he couldnt live with it. Might be worth looking into. He also said Bassani weren't very helpful when he contacted them in a similar way to what you were saying, raise the susp. etc.
I've got a 2019 Slim with forward boards. I have the Bassani Road Rage with the backswept rear pipes like you referenced for the Streetbob . When I was buying them there was an option for the front swept or backswept rear pipes. I've put about 600 miles on so far with no scraping. I believe Blockhead has the front swept Bassani on his FXDR.
Completely agree with a bunch of other comments, get a swap from Bassni and swap for the pipes from the Street Bob, it'll fit and you'll get the lean angle. FYI - I have a Harley now that I've done lots to her and love her to bits, I am considering trading her in for a Sport Glide, but I want to do a lot of mods and I'm watching this series closely. Seat and bars as the next mod, I reckon after the pipe lean angle is solved. I love Bassni too, but they shouldn't have released pipes that reduced the bike's lean angle, bad move. The Sport Glide is such a good base to start with, very underrated.
I have the Bassani on my SG. I like them and am okay with as is. Easy solution for me. But, folks ought to know before they buy. Good video. Matt Laidlaw did a major custom job on the SG he called the "Beach Glide" since he's out in LA.
Yeah, go with mid-controls and Two brothers exhaust. I would either go with the Bung King Highway peg crash bar or keep the front forward mounts and pegs. The Sport Glide will be more of of Sport Glide with mid-controls. Take care and can't wait to see what you do.
Yeah, not a mechanic, but looking at pictures side by side it looks like they shouldn't interfere with the controls. If you can ever get a hold of the R&D guy maybe ask them.
Tend to agree with you guys, looks like Bob pipe will fit the SG with no issues as there's nothing in way, while you can see for sure that you would have problems fitting the SG pipe on the Bob
Great vid. Very transparent and informative :) I like the look of the Rinehart 2 into 1 exhaust the best out of all of the pipes I looked for to go on my Sport Glide. In the end i went with a black with chrome tip Rinehart slip-on and bought the black heat shields for the stock pipes. Cant wait to see what you do with this bike :)
Do a custom pipe I think it would be awesome and it makes it more standout. I think the forward controls need to stay on the sport glide. Thanks for the content!
Not sure if this has been mentioned yet but I believe you will need a new outer and inner primary to convert the sport glide to mid controls. I was actually considering this bike last year and didn't go for it because I need my mids!
I have a sportglide and find that the standard exhaust system hasn't scraped yet but the side stand does, this after I angled the footrests up, so a new exhaust may fix the right side but you will still be grounding the left. I love this bike apart from it's limited ground clearance but it is a cruiser.
So, an interesting journey you’re on. On my Sport Glide I kept the stock header and went with the Screamin Eagle Slip On made for the Sport Glide. It sounds fantastic (EC version with high flow cat) and no issues with ground clearance as the stock header is designed and engineered properly. Also, I notice you haven’t fitted the screw in skid pins on yr stock foot rests. A cheap upgrade but they hopefully will hit the ground before anything else. Weird that the screw hole is their and the part is available but not included at the price tag! Go figure.
@@Motonewbrider That is what you need to do then for ground clearance. I assume the pipes we have was made that way for equal length pipes for better exhaust scavenging as well as looks.
@@Motonewbrider also, if you ever want to change to mids, you need to change primary covers (yes inners and outers ) as well, I'm on a softail street bob, switched to forwards.. now i have a hole where the shifter shaft used to be :) you'll sort it out mate. glad you decided to stick around and create for us :)
Hi Mark, I just noticed that Blow Exhausts have a put a new video on UA-cam with their exhaust on a Sportsglide, much better ground clearance & no possibility in scraping it, 👍👍😎
See if you can swap for the other style of the road rage! Bassani is amazing with customer service. I’m sure they would help you out. I got the one for the sport glide and they look just like the street bob you showed...
Crazy Bassani would tell you to fit new suspension to stop their exhaust grounding out!! And I wouldn't be forking out changing foot controls nor chopping up an expensive new exhaust system. If its only the heat shield and not the pipe its self I'd ground it out until it stopped. Otherwise change it for a different system.
I agree 100%. If Bassani haven't designed the appropriate exhaust system for this model, install a different exhaust. Changing to mid controls or suspension for the sake of an exhaust system is crazy talk
I just installed the pro pipe on my FLHCS. Definitely worth it. It looks like part of the issue is that Bassani tried to match the original header for the FLSB, but the rear pipe should have went behind the timer cover.
Completely agree, poor show from them, not fit for purpose. I would like to see you go with the street Bob pipe swap and mids personal. Not only does it give people real world fix, who may not have the custom pipe option available but I think it adds more content and detail to this build series to see if it works. Learning experience for all 😁👍
The problem you have isn’t just on the sport glide . When I ordered my fat bob 114 from Newmarket Harley Davidson they had a demo fat bob 114 with bassani pipe fitted .i ordered my bike with a stage one and when we talked about which exhaust to get they told me they had noticed the demo bike exhaust was very very badly scraped and worn where people were cornering. So we went for a two brothers on the fat bob that I ordered. I think this exhaust is a problem on most soft tail models ??
I have a 2018 sport glide with the Bassani road rage pipe where the rear header pipe is toward the back like on the picture of the street bob, no scraping , they list it for the Heritage and the sport glide on their web site.
Go with the other Bassani exhaust and keep the forward controls. It looks like it will fit just fine. The look would be pretty great too! Best wishes on your choice.
will the bassini for the street bob, fit on the sportglide, because of the mid controls they have made the pipes come one each side of the timing cover, and therefore the front pipe can be put higher. another system to consider is the Cobra El Diablo, again with pipes going either side of the timing cover. i will be watching your series with interest. stay safe.
having just checked on partseurope,eu..... the FATBOOK catalogue on page 480 they show the Bassini road rage 2 and they show 2 versions, one with pipes either side of the timing cover and you can see that it is clearly higher up than the version you have fitted at the moment, surprised the guy at bassini didnt say about it.
Love your videos but wondering where the next one for the Sport glide is?. "I've just noticed a bike for sale here in Australia with a STAGE 1 SPEC - TBR EXHAUST which looks to solve this problem
I saw one owner keeping the stock head pipe than weld the Bassani end muffler to it..apparently it works !!! I have the road rage pipe and I clicked my suspension up to 3, no scrapage at the moment but I am mindful in slow corners....
I mated the bassani muffler to my stock headers no lack of performance and ended up putting a baffle in it when i added 475 s&s cam as it was make your ears bleed loud and rasp. much better now and still great down low.
Hi! Thanks for your great videos! Very helpful. Just a quick question whether you have any idea whether the bassani exhaust will work well with the fp3! Thanks! Keep up!
Looking at the pics from the HD website, go back to stock head pipes and run with a slip on. They were designed to avoid said issue you ran into and you get the back pressure. Apparently better performance staying with stock head pipes instead of 3rd party. They can be tapped then run with pro street plus auto smart tune pro.
Don’t worry about it. I have had plenty of bikes that scrape in places other than the pegs, never had it cause a control issue in over thirty years of riding. I have a current Fat Bob with that exhaust and it has a mark in a similar spot a lot bigger than that one and I’m still alive. There is also a big scrape on the bottom of my pegs on both sides so it’s not always the exhaust that touches first, according to the road conditions, camber, speed, body position and suspension loading it scrapes in different places. I’m not trying to be a downer honestly, just enjoy riding the bike, you can’t see the scrapes from in the saddle so just keep riding.
Hi buddy thanks for the input. My point is that I can't lean into the twisities as much with the Bassani pipe on. Therefore I'm not getting the full experience 👍
Motonewbrider, I think most Harley guys would say scraping and other wild antics is the full experience 😂. In seriousness though you scraped very mildly at a roundabout, get some footage of you with the bike leaned over at full highway speed on a sweeping bend with it scraping and then we might need to consider hundreds of dollars (pounds) worth of work. Bends like the “twisties” you reference are cambered to your advantage, roundabouts are almost always cambered high on the inside which plays against you. The guys bashing Bassani over testing need to have a think about it, Bassani are a US company, in the UK or Oz you lean in against the exhaust to go round a roundabout, in the US you are going the opposite direction and hence the primary hits if the foot peg doesn’t catch first. Genuinely I wanna see that footage of it scraping in the twisties. Get it dude, it would prove your point and be a great video, probably with some great riding. Good luck and happy riding.
If you don’t mind straying away from a 2-1 exhaust, take a peek at Cobra Speedster Slashdowns. I have them on my Sportster, they look & sound amazing. If you want to stay with 2-1, check out the Rinehart 2 into 1
It's all ways trial and error. When you do these custom builds that's what makes it fun some thing work some thing don't .. I appreciate your honesty in bringing this product two the table, can I ask your gripe with Vance and Hines .. ..ps.. mega pump ... You keep the channel going would have mist you your in my top 5 vloggers ...
"Blow Exhausts " have been putting a lot of videos on UA-cam, I like the look of them, check them out worth a look. The Sportsglide is an excellent low price option for customising in my eyes, looking forward to the 117 FXDR review, all the best 👍👍😎
That doesn't look good. Does the bassani 2 - 1 have the same issue on the FXDR? I haven't heard or seen anything online to suggest the same problem and from what I've seen the road rage is the pipe of choice for it.
I understand the want for two into one for performance and ascetics however maybe consider V&H short or long shots which will separate the pipes and give the clearance to lean in.
Cheers from Pennsylvania USA....you made a comment about your followers knowing how you feel about Vance and Hines exhaust... Forgive me for not following your channel as much as your regular followers but could you explain this to me please?..... Do you not favor v n h ?....im looking to do a 2 into 1 on my fatboy and v n h was top of my list....what do you suggest?...im gonna do motor work as well and just wanna make the best choice for the motor...thanks man!
I would change the pipe and leave everything else alone cuz its a pipe only issue and one would be compromising the style of the bike to accommodate what wasn't designed for that particular bike,, i know your views on v&h and because of their popularity etc, but like the old Audi advert "" quote"" """a million Germans can't be wrong"""!! Bassini should do a recall cuz hard banking could lift the back end like a leaver effect if one where to ground it out rather than a gentle scrape.. "" we have all had a blind bend that's turned out tighter than antisipated, so it is a safety issue. My argument with them would be, "" i thought i was buying a pipe designed to out perform the standard one""
Yes it would annoy me if a manufacturer suggested I should change stock shocks because of a defect in the design of there product " did you fit non standard shocks" and can you stiffen the shock setting " errrm not the best reply with a potential serious accident a real possibility. Does look very low even for a crusier .
Have you looked into two brothers man looks the same as the bassani but looks like you would have more clearence for the Twisties just and idea from a fewoll welshi 👍👍
Go with the longer V&H pipe, you need a long pipe to balance the fact that the right hand pannier is quite shallow. With a short pipe and the pannier fitted it looks as if it’s stuck up in the air.
I have Bassani (Great Exhaust!) on my Sport Glide, and do not have this problem. They make a version of the Road Rage 3 with a shorter rear pipe, that does not wrap around the timing cover, allowing the front pipe to be above the foot peg. I believe this is similar to the configuration you showed in your video on the Street Bob. www.bassanipipes.com/roadragestainless3for2018softailbreakout-2-2.aspx
i don't see why the mid control head pipes wouldn't work with fordward control bikes. not unless theres something about that frame that doesnt allow it such as a bracket in the way. [but then again local dealer here had mid control headpipes on a fatbob and it seemed to work fine]
Bassani RoadRages have always scraped the ground.. especially on dynas, if you keep scraping eventually it'll flatten out until it no longer scrapes. The problem being the Bassani exhaust by far makes the best power compared to the TBR and other options
The guy at Bassani was right. If you want a slammed bike, don't expect it to corner. The V&H looks the best. The Bassani for the SB will fit your bike too. It's routed about the same as the V&H. My guess is that with the longer rear pipe, this one probably makes a little better power the others. If you get mids, you'll need to drill into the primary cover or get one with the hole in it. It's a costly PITA. If money were no issue, I'd buy a longer aftermarket shock and run the V&H. Best performance and looks. Being cheap, I'd probably just keep dragging that pipe until it wore that part of the heat shield out.
I'm going to assume that hero blobs or an engine guard wouldn't work for whatever reasons. Taking that as said, I'd probably go for a one-off exhaust. A two into one into two into one, i.e. lose that bottom pipe where it grounds and combine the two pipes at that point, perhaps split back into two and then back into one. You'd need to speak to an exhaust specialist and Bassani are going to look bad (a pity as they are my first choice for my Lowrider when I get it) but eggs, omelettes breakage etc etc.
I had this exact exhaust on my 18 FatBob and i scrapped it the first day. If you're pushing the lean angle these are the worst design out of all the bassani exhausts. They rectified it with a newer version. FXFB NYC IS OUT! 🗽⚡
Why not use a 2 into 2 exhaust like the V&H big shots? Everyone seems to be using 2 into 1 pipes at the moment but I personally don’t think they look as good...
I think go with a different brand until the issue is resolved as buying a set of pipes that clearly has an issue is a problem in itself. It's not like it's cheap to buy a set of pipes, as a tuner is required along with an airfilter and these all add up. Purchasing a new set of higher shocks is not a solution, I find that avoiding the problem. Fabrication works of a brand new pipe may seem fine, but that also means anyone buying the pipes need to bare in mind that they need to custom fabricate the pipes to work. I dont see that as an option for all. As for the mid control option, unless the owner prefers mids then yeah but me personally I prefer forward over mids. I would be gutted buying a set if pipes that I liked, only to find out that I need to spend more just fix someone else's problem. So my vote is new design with no scrapping issue and keep the forward controls until the issue is resolved. I'm really enjoying your vlogs on the sport glide along with all the other uploaded blogs and cant wait to see how it finally turns out. Your Phag G is sick 😁🤙
Calling it a sport glide seems to dilute the FXDX/LowriderS legacy. Use the opportunity to build something that deserves the name. Mids, decent suspension with a 'sport' ride height. For inspiration on all things handling check out Big Bear Performance.
Your cure might be worse than the disease! Transplanting mids onto the Sport Glide will bring up another issue. The primary cover is a different width than the softails with mids, and you’ll wind up spending more money to replace that. You’ll wind up with less money in your pocket and a less comfortable riding position. Keep the forwards and swap the exhaust. My service manager, with a good deal of experience dynoing M8s, said the full systems currently available rarely increase results over a slip-on with the stock headers. I went with the new Rinehart slip-on. Sounds great and gave almost 10% across the board with an SE Ventilator and Street Pro Tuner, plus some dyno tweaking. Here's a video sound check of the Rinehart: ua-cam.com/video/HHNFFjVm4Rw/v-deo.html
When shit starts getting to complicated I look for the simple solution. That’s the Vance and Hines. Major oversight with Basssani making the pipes so darn low. Time to move on. Also agree with other guys... keep the forward controls
If you are leaning your bike over that much you need to look into raising your rear suspension end of story. I understand your complaint but really that's not Bassani's fault. If you are riding in a performance driven manner you must adapt. Good content though.
Just go for TBR, V&H or J&H. If Bassani can't (or doesn't want) to make pipes that are higher than the pegs: screw them. Imho, the Bassani-exhaust doesn't look good anyways.. Replacing the forwards for mid-controls wouldn't be an option for me personally.
This is gross oversight and rush to market and no concern for Bassani to make this right. I have a 2018 sport glide with the Bassani road rage pipe where the rear header pipe is toward the back like on the picture of the street bob, no scraping , they list it for the Heritage and the sport glide on their web site.
Have a look at Tab performance. I have them on my street glide and they are awesome!
Go with the other Bassani exhaust and keep the forward controls. It looks like it will fit just fine. The look would be pretty great too! Best wishes on your choice.
Have the same bike and scraped also, I'm not to happy about it .
they must of knew this when they tested it .Cant wait to see what you come up with
will the bassini for the street bob, fit on the sportglide, because of the mid controls they have made the
pipes come one each side of the timing cover, and therefore the front pipe can be put higher.
another system to consider is the Cobra El Diablo, again with pipes going either side of the timing cover.
i will be watching your series with interest. stay safe.
Just found your account. Was really looking at the Sport Glide and enjoyed the first 3 videos but then no more?
having just checked on partseurope,eu..... the FATBOOK catalogue on page 480 they show the Bassini road rage 2
and they show 2 versions, one with pipes either side of the timing cover and you can see that it is clearly higher
up than the version you have fitted at the moment, surprised the guy at bassini didnt say about it.
Seen it as well fella. Yeah I'm just as puzzled intact you'd think they would discontinue this pipe and just sell the one that doesn't scrape.
Love your videos but wondering where the next one for the Sport glide is?. "I've just noticed a bike for sale here in Australia with a STAGE 1 SPEC - TBR EXHAUST which looks to solve this problem
Thats terrible customer service!! Go custom Mark! You done it with Goldie and it was sick!! 👌🔥🔥
Get yourself a sickpipes exhaust. Very unique.
Keep up the great content and hopefully catch you this weekend at sykes 👍
Never seen a sport glide, looking at it, it's a beast
Hi Buddy, no gripe with V&H however it seems to be the default pipe in the UK and I like to see something different.
Did you ever finish customising this bike? I have looked for further videos and cannot find any. cheers
"Blow Exhausts " have been putting a lot of videos on UA-cam, I like the look of them, check them out worth a look. The Sportsglide is an excellent low price option for customising in my eyes, looking forward to the 117 FXDR review, all the best 👍👍😎
Mids and highway pegs are the way to go. Best of both worlds.
Feel more in control with the kids then put your feet out when cruising 😎🤙
Have you thought about keeping the standard down pipes and fitting a rheinhart muffler mine is
That doesn't look good. Does the bassani 2 - 1 have the same issue on the FXDR? I haven't heard or seen anything online to suggest the same problem and from what I've seen the road rage is the pipe of choice for it.
Harley spent a lot of money designing that suspension and they want you to change it amazing!
I understand the want for two into one for performance and ascetics however maybe consider V&H short or long shots which will separate the pipes and give the clearance to lean in.
i wonder if its possible to use the original header pipes and then get the bassani muffler to somehow fit ??
Do you think these pipes would suffer the same problems fitted to a 114 or 107 Fatboy, don't want to limit the ground clearance any further.
Think that the street bob set would fit. Your pipe wouldn't work on street bob, but looks like will work other way round.
Hey Motone, just a quick question about the handling of the Sport Glide; is is more 'flickable' than the Fat Boy?
I can’t see why you can’t keep the forward controls with the other system, they seem to be clear of the forwards.
Agreed on closer inspection
Yes it would annoy me if a manufacturer suggested I should change stock shocks because of a defect in the design of there product " did you fit non standard shocks" and can you stiffen the shock setting " errrm not the best reply with a potential serious accident a real possibility. Does look very low even for a crusier .
Have you looked into two brothers man looks the same as the bassani but looks like you would have more clearence for the Twisties just and idea from a fewoll welshi 👍👍
Also look into MX style pegs when you go with mid-controls
Have a look at the 2 bros 2 into 1 exhaust it looks very similar but it looks alot more smaller on the bend not as low as the basssani
Go with the longer V&H pipe, you need a long pipe to balance the fact that the right hand pannier is quite shallow. With a short pipe and the pannier fitted it looks as if it’s stuck up in the air.
Sorry, I'm new to this channel. What's the problem with Vance & Hines?
backfire on decel in muffler, on a 2009 fatbob? any tips. bassani road rage 3. long muffler.
How did you find the knee clearance on the heavy breather?
Two Brothers exhaust could be the solution.
What happened to the rest of this custom?
Not keen in the highway bars. Just get a pipe which is fit for purpose imo. 👍🏻
Change the pipe and keep the ergonomics I'd say. D&D, S&S & TBR have off the shelf awesome exhausts for these M8 engines.
I had this exact exhaust on my 18 FatBob and i scrapped it the first day. If you're pushing the lean angle these are the worst design out of all the bassani exhausts. They rectified it with a newer version. FXFB NYC IS OUT! 🗽⚡
I have never heard a 2in one that I liked
Why not use a 2 into 2 exhaust like the V&H big shots? Everyone seems to be using 2 into 1 pipes at the moment but I personally don’t think they look as good...
2 into 1 pipes give better performance..its a proven fact..
Yeh, i’ve heard that, just from an atheistic point of view i think 2 into 2 looks better even if the performance isn’t quite as good 👍🏻
@@manicthing Yeah..at the end of the day you've gotta go with whatever makes you happy..stuff what everyone else thinks..
Agreed 😊 thanks man 👍🏻
All personal preference buddy. I'm just a sucka for a 2-1.
What happened to your sporty?
Still got it. Its having its 1,000 mile service.
They have a short propipe also and why wouldn’t a streetbob exhaust work
Definitely do not like parts scraping. Could displace traction and down you go.
It's already been said but i'll say it again...Two Brothers Comp-S 2-Into-1
Looking into this. Huge ground clearance on the pipes as well which is great.
Don't lose the forwards just try the pipes that fit the street Bob
Get Bassani to make it good with their other 2-1 as posted by RRR
ive got a black propipe and its a cracking pipe looks the dogs
If it works-don’t fix it! Murphy’s law!
If you are leaning your bike over that much you need to look into raising your rear suspension end of story. I understand your complaint but really that's not Bassani's fault. If you are riding in a performance driven manner you must adapt. Good content though.
You might have less exhaust problems if you park on Straight Street Lane instead.
Just watched a video on how change battery on the new softails what a nightmare
Scrape my foot rests often on my street bob but it reminds me of my limits .remember it's a harley after all not a sports bike .
Just go for TBR, V&H or J&H. If Bassani can't (or doesn't want) to make pipes that are higher than the pegs: screw them. Imho, the Bassani-exhaust doesn't look good anyways..
Replacing the forwards for mid-controls wouldn't be an option for me personally.
running floorboard 0n with the mid control bassani headers
This happens on my FatBoy also with the same Exhaust system
