I’ve been planning on making doll bedding, but my doll bed is longer than most doll beds so I didn’t feel like going through the effort of measuring. I think this video finally convinced me to do it. I love the pillows. I’m also going to try to put in a T-shirt between the two fabric for the blanket. I like the idea.
How clever to use cotton knit to place between the layers of the blanket! I usually use a white cotton piece but I can see that the knit would give it more cushion. Thank you for the tip. Also to always turn the bottom corners out first. I always go reaching for those furthest away. You never stop learning. 🙏
So happy the video helped you! Bedding is so simple to make that sometimes we complicate it:) I always used thicker towels but they seemed to thick for dolls. As one day i had extra cotton knit ( left overs hehe) and i didn't have towel with me. So i just used cotton knit and loved it! You can use two layers of cotton knit if you want a bit thicker.
This is exactly the way I make doll bedding except that I use thin fiber-fil that you can buy by the yard at fabric stores. i also hand sew the opening seam because I think it looks nicer (even though it doesn't show because it's at the bottom of the bed near the footboard). That's just a preference of mine. Either way the bedding still looks awesome to me. I also use fat quarters instead of measuring 20 x 20 because that length fits the (Ikea) doll beds that I buy. Lots of cute fabrics for 18" dolls is available.

Love this! Wanting to make a new bedding soon. To change around my dollhouse.
glad the tutorial was helpful for you! And yay for new bedding!
Such a great bedding set! I love the idea of putting knit fabric between the two pieces! Thank you for another great tutorial!
So happy you liked it! Yes knit fabric gives a perfect softness without bulking too much.
What size are the pillows?
