I find that marking the damage and a flank then just sit on your tank and heal him it works very effectively for me, works even better if you have an extra healer
Sick guide! I would also add that going for stuns with stunning visage is super effective if you have them caught in your ult.... due to the slow it makes it easy to line up multiple enemys for some big damage... also you mentioned not to teleport to your visage if you will die from the rest of the enemy team... this is true but if you have ult you are able to make these teleports and immediatly go into your ult for the cc immunity and damage reduction... the enemy will likepy turn to finish you off only for you to smack an ult on them and the rest of your team have a free window to push them.
Wow I crashed while watching this video while waiting for the round to load. Thank you x) Edit: Nice now I crashed in the second round too and in both I couldn't come back so I was stuck. Thank you very much Hi-Rez for not fixing your game even once. Whey am I still playing this game...
Hirez/Evil Mojo are scummy cunts. Players who dont realize that are real naive retards, but hey i guess a majority of the playerbase are kids or adults that have the rational/mind of a child.
@@wngdhssr Hey I mean players can realize that Hirez/EM are idiots but still love the game. I mean the game is still v fun to play if you don't get bugged out
@@wngdhssr yeah fuck the devs. although this is my third time coming back too the game after "quitting for good" so i guess they make pretty good games.
Yeah, he was instalocked a lot the first week or so. I also saw quite a few people doing the same thing as I was with Corvus in getting him to level 50, and I even saw people get there faster than me. I don't remember seeing anyone doing that for Raum or Tony the Tiger.
Awesome guide! I think people kinda sleep on how good stun can be as an almost indirect support talent to save or help your teammates in tricky situations. For example: Is your Vivian getting pestered by an annoying Maeve or Talus? Just snipe that sucker with projection and watch with glee as that Viv turns them into Swiss cheese. That feeling is great and it’s the reason I mained Jenos before Corvus was released.
My cards that work for me is level 4 crushing expectations which increases movement speed by 12% for marked ally, level 5 grand design which grants the marked ally 12% life steal and Corvus gets 100% of the healing through life steal, level 2 magistrates might which makes Corvus gain a 260 health shield for 3 seconds after dropping to or below 35% health, level 3 new resolve which grants a 120 health shield to an ally for 2 seconds when you mark them, and a level one shadow tribunal which provides the target an additional 2.5% healing boost from other allies healed with abyssal reconstruction
HOLY CRAP, I really didn't know what I was missing out by not having priority targets in my corvus loadouts. I was playing against 3 flanks as a solo healer and that card level 3 in my standard loadout let me reposition so much I barely knew where I was let alone them .
I meant to buy Dredge yesterday and accidentally bought Corvus instead. Watching this video makes me think this was a Bob Ross moment, a happy little accident. I'm slaying with Dredge, but I think Corvus could be right up my alley as well.
Great video! I played Corvus up to level 8 or so, and I like a lot of things about him. But he seems really fragile. I started calling him "horse riding practice" because I just kept dying and riding my stupid horse back to the front. How do you not die constantly with Corvus?
You are such a fantastic content creator, I hope you branch out to variety content. You have what it takes to get big man. But your audience in paladins is niche. It's helping me enjoy paladins though, but still. I hope you get the following you deserve
But if you take the sharing gifts talent, dont the marked targets get 15% less healing ? So it would less effective to mark a tank and heal them right ?
with me, well my mark stragegy is opposite, I always mark off tank first, and the flank second, because they r usually not in my LoS, and why off tank second? with me, i think tank is tougher than a flank, so they will be die slower or can dive in enemy backline for longer (of course, mark change on situation, but most of the time my mark land on these two)
Corvus can absolutely be a main healer. I was a main healer for most of my matches as Corvus, and I had no trouble keeping them alive with Spreading Influence.
Any tips on how to get good at the timing of his blade? When I get flanked, I freak a little and can’t figure out where to throw it. When I do, I have to wait for it to land and by then it’s too late rip
Like I said in the video, map awareness is key. You want to know exactly where you are on the map, and exactly what is around you. Whenever you go anywhere, you want to make sure you're thinking of escape routes before you even get flanked, so when the flank comes you can immediately flick your teleport and get out of there. This is a skill you hone the more you play each of the different maps, so the more you play, the better you'll get at knowing where the best escape routes are. If you stay calm and focus instead of panicking, this will be a bit easier.
Gotcha, I think I’ve been too focused on load outs and not so much awareness. Thanks for the tip and the awesome guide, been inspired to play corvus more!
It took me about 45 hours while in a party and having ownership of the battle pass. You should take advantage of the 2x xp weekend that's going on right now if you want to get there even sooner
It took me a few hours of playing Raum to get to 15 (idk and exactly I played like 10 hrs multiple heroes) have battle pass and party so let’s hope I can get there soon I love the look of his gold skin 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻
Also if the opponent is moving then it feels like u shooting peas at time. I hope they make his spread tighter in the next patch and just make his damage drop off a lil more to compensate for the spread or subtract like 5-10 ammo
Playing a damage support is fun, and some damage supports like Grohk, Pip, Mal'Damba, and Corvus can be highly effective, and even better than some true damage champions if played properly.
Fak i dum. I should have realized that you can Mark Tank and flank with dual mark talent and heal tank for faster heals.... how did I not realize that? its so obvious...

Hey Andrew, thanks for the guide! You've convinced me to save up for corvus now 😄
That intro song gave me nostalgia to 2015 when things were good, both IRL and on UA-cam
this is really an Ultimate guide! so detailed, so thorough! so excited to try this all out!

Great vid! Was waiting for this for a lot of time is finally here!
Ngl since corvus actually takes effort to play he's probably the least instalocked new champ I've ever seen.
Odd because he was instalocked all the time. I had to fight to play him. Raum and especially Tiberius were instalocked a lot less.

thx for this guid Andrew in particular on itemes to buy exacly for life rip and kill to heal and the tricks for projection
I really like corvus but I feel like there's more I could learn so here I am learning :)

I'm gonna start grinding out corvus for gold, I did the same for koga and it was pretty satisfying to finally get it
Guys sorry i didnt know where to ask this and the community here always seemed helpful. Do Kinessa's mines inflict cauterize?
They don't. Only weapon attacks, or abilities which count as weapon attacks (e.g. Lian's autoaim abilities) apply cauterize.
@@AndrewChicken Thanks! Always love your videos!

Damn. Didn t know he was that good. Imma play more Corvus now
I have a question, if you mark an ally but you're not healing them and they get a kill does that count an elimination for you as Corvus?
With Dark Gifts, yes. With any other talent, no.

But if you take the sharing gifts talent, dont the marked targets get 15% less healing ? So it would less effective to mark a tank and heal them right ?
The 15% reduction is only if you don't heal a marked target directly. Healing a target directly still gives them 10% more healing.

So the ulti can be used liek a lian ult?
How do o get that cross air?
Hi. i have furia and Grover and im thinking in buying corvus, but is he good as main healer to keep the tank and team Alive?

just that one guy will be left out who will complain at the end to quit because you suck

When will he be playable in ranked anyone know

he has good dps just on paper . but in game his dps is trash due to the high spread on his weapon shots .
