I kept pulling tower in the lead up to covid lockdowns...I've learned that tower moments are things you'd never expect, or weren't prepared for, as covid impacted my life and career in ways I couldn't have imagined (as a self employed massage therapist I had to close my business of 6+ years) for a long time, I felt like a victim and powerless over my own circumstances, but in retrospect, it was setting me free from a career and identity I was very attached to, which I would not have let go otherwise, even though it was no longer fulfilling me and had outlived it's usefulness. Tower is always a gift as it only removes things that we wouldn't let go of on our own, although it can feel super painful and traumatic to go through. I really enjoyed this video, looking forward to watching the others in this series ⚡
I agree. So often the Tower creates a foundation for what is to come.

Hi April, I really enjoyed this so much. Ok my most favorite Tower card is: The tower from the Light Seers Tarot. I love that the butterflies on this card looks a little like the fire but at same time to me the butteries represent transformation which does take place the the tower care hits. I love that the nuts are that so food is still available during this tough time. I love the colours in the card and how there is still a mount where you can still take some shelter. Yes its not as big as it once was but its a roof over your head. Well thats what I see in that card. Another softer card in the Monstarot tarot deck : This Tower card shows clearly you have now lost branches that you once had, but there is still branches available to you. And on this card you may have even loss your home. But those branches symbolize there is still availability to rebuilt on what you have left. Its a very gentle but hard hitting message. Thats what I love about the Monstarot in that very card is delivered to gently but the illustrations on each card hit home with its meaning plus more. Loved all your thoughts on this card and looking forward to seeing the rest of these cards in your series. I also see the Tower card as a "Shake Up" or even a" Brake though"......And I am so happy the Star card comes straight after Tower card. Take Care Terri from Australia 🦘 🇦🇺 💜⚡⚡⚡

My favorite Tower card is from Everyday Witch Tarot, I like how the witch is standing looking at me challenging me to see my mistakes!!! Thank you April!!! ⚡⚡⚡
I immediately thought of that deck/card as well!! Lol. Haven't looked at it in a while, but it's like she blasted that tower down because she knew it needed to be done. Things needed to change.
Edit: I commented before watching the video, so I didn't think this card was going to be shown. Lol. I hadn't thought of the blame game for the interpretation before, I thought she blasted down her own tower. 😬🤷♀️

⚡️ The Tower seems to be a theme card in my life for the past few years. I have gained a better perspective on it the more I relate it to what needs to be destroyed or burned away to be rebuilt as it is no longer serving us and where we’re going. I love the Thoth, The Nameless Ine and Ophidia Rosa Tarot.
I drew the Tower for the puppy we just got. I do feel like he is reforming me by breaking down aspects of self. There is a sort of rebuilding that is happening.
May this season of burning, breaking, and rebuilding serve us both well in the years to come.
So often, I find that Tower seasons are the strong foundations of great future things!
One of my favorite Tower cards is from Mystical Moments. She is holding on so tight, to everything. When a tower moment strikes sometimes you just have to let go. Sometimes the foundation is solid and sometimes it's not. As her hair dissolves in smoke, what has been built is all just ephemeral and it will fade away. In my experience the tower moments are not what I expect. So far I have grown from them and my foundation is more flexible and grounded. Maybe that is just being more wise today than I was a few years ago. :) (lightning emoji )

Some of my tower moments have really been "out of nowhere", or at least I thought at the time. Looking back, I can see how I could have removed it myself, but was blind. 😵💫

April, I LOVE your perspective and interpretations in these videos and how you compare cards from different decks.
I appreciate the imagery of the Everyday Witch Tower card (seriously, this deck is AMAAAAAZING and we are so tight) because that structure of my (now former) belief system came crashing down around me as I saw my religion for what it really is and I literally envisioned a Tower's walls collapse around me just like in the EW card. 4 more Tower moments appeared in short spans of time after that and I realized it was not just a Tower coming down, but the whole fecking CASTLE! I had a lot of structures that needed to be "dethroned" and I was shook to the core and shaken down to the foundations - oh wait, that was tore down too! LOL
The Tower moments HURT. But looking back at last year, I wouldn't be where am I today - very happily jogging rapidly down a new path with a new belief system that is healing me and setting me free to be my authentic self and stepping into my Divine Feminine power. :) And yes, that involves reading Tarot!

Healing from religious dogma, trauma, and ideology is a long road.
For myself, there has been so much power in walking out of church and into mySELF.
It sounds as though you are feeling the same with getting free from religion(whatever that was for you).
I always say, "Religion brings death. Religion controls and shames. Life connected to Spirit/joy/magick/awen brings freedom and love."

🌩🌩🌩 One of my favorite Tower cards comes from one of my favorite decks, "Forest of Enchantment Tarot." In this deck, it has been re-named "The Folly" and tells the story of a nobleman who had a tall, thriving, beautiful tree hollowed out in order to create a grand tower to entertain his rich friends. The tree looks dried out and "dead." Due to it having been hollowed out, the structure of the tree has disintegrated. The top of the tree has completely split apart and broken off.
While there are Tower moments that are not any fault of our own like a car accident or sudden illness, more often that not, Tower moments have been brewing over time due to certain choices we've made or negative unconscious (or conscious) behaviors that we need to change.
One of my biggest Tower moments was discovering that the foundations of what I believed was the worldview of the place I live in was not the worldview I thought it was. This shook me to my core and was (still is) a very big Tower experience for me. The Tower can come up when our worldview changes. It can lead to an epiphany that can really clear the air and allow us to erect something new that is stronger, smarter, and better for our soul.
I'm going ro pull that tarot out and see The Folly.
I agree. Sometimes our worldview shifts and seeing the schism can really shake you!
⚡️ This was great! Times I've pulled the Tower, oh boy was there a shake up. 😅 But every time, things came down and I built something new that was stronger. Tower moments are never fun. But they certainly teach life lessons. I feel like the Universe nudges us until it says oh for pity's sake, they aren't getting it and that's when the lightening bolt strikes.

One of my favorite Tower cards is from Tarot of the Witch’s Garden. It has a tree being split by lightening and a tree house falling. Two kids are falling out of the treehouse, but there’s a blanket waiting for them being held by two animals and a fairy. It’s disruptive yet there is relief and safety at the same time. 💚

⚡️ My favorite tower card is from Titanic: Risen Spirits deck. It’s of someone watching the Titanic pulled into the waters, an outside force (the iceberg) claiming a ship thought to be unsinkable. In fact, that whole deck is perfectly suitable for tower work, as it explores the disaster, how people make choices during that disaster, and how they deal with the aftermath (the thankfulness of surging, the grief).

Hi April! My favorite Tower card is from The Fifth Spirit Tarot. I think it really expresses the desolation that comes through your body when something that gave you safety comes down, you feel like its the end of the world but you don`t know yet that a better house is waiting for you. The Tower card is one of my favourites in the deck. Probably because it is one if the images early on thatv i associate the most with tarot, Off the top of head i cannot think of my favourite tarot card though. I really liked your explanations :-)

⚡ Great video topic! I like the tower card in Tarot of Mystical Moments. There's a giant woman who has wrapped her arms around the tower actually trying to hold it together even though it's exploding from the volcano it's been built upon. ⚡
