BEAUTIFUL harvest of persimmons fam!!! Mine have a few more weeks to go before I pull them but you’ve got me excited now 😂. Thanks for sharing and stay blessed! -Calvin
Those are some good looking persimmons and congratulations on your first year's harvest. I will be harvesting mine tomorrow because my birds can't resist anything red or orange so I'll let them continue to ripen indoors. 🤗
excellent harvest,i'm in zone 8b,and have about 50 plus persimmon trees,on 8 acre lot if you let them get the orange color you will really enjoy them, just ordered 3 more from starks bro's
Im in 8b as well and believe it or not I just ordered 3 from Starkbros as well hahaha! I am in East Texas. So far I'm getting Saijo, Fuyu, Jiro, and Maekawa Jiro. I'm also into figs, mulberries, and jujubes
That is so cool! I only have a persimmon, fig, combo apple, and peach right now, but I'd also like a pear, lemon, orange, pomegranate, and grapefruit, as well.
@@theanalyticgardener sorry i made a mistake ,1 acre lot instead of 8, have over 200 fruit trees buying plants is very addictive ,i grow every thing , have 2 green houses, 1 with plants in ground lots of citrus plants,3 different kind of sweet lemons, newzealand , sanbokan ,and pomoa,
I had to look back to be sure. It's been 3 years. I fought pests last year, but I think if I'd sprayed it with Kaolin Clay at the beginning of spring, I would have gotten fruit last year.
Amazinggggg!!!!🎉

Wow, that's a bunch of persimmons for a young tree. You did great! I generally eat mine while still a little firm but they do taste great when mushy.
Yes, I was very pleased at the first yield for the tree. Sadly, I ate the last one today. 😁

Holy cow! That is amazing! I love them mushy best, but I'll eat them crunchy, too. I may get another one later if she decides to stay fairly small.

So it looks like jelly from a tree.....I've got to try some.
Nice way to put it! They are great.
Congrats on your 1st harvest! How long have you had it in the ground? Mine is going on its 2nd year in the ground so fingers crossed for next year.

@@theanalyticgardener good to know - thank you!
They look like tomatoes! What do they taste like?
It's hard for me to describe. Someone else said it's like a cross between a peach and a pear with cinnamon, and I can see that.
What type is this? American or Asian?
The Fuyu is an Asian Persimmon. It is not astringent, so they can be eaten hard or soft.
