Hey doc! The forefoot uses GCU and their Tuff OS rubber on the rearfoot which is their hardest rubber compound made for outdoors. I think thats why the grip test is a little low but I think it would get better over time. I believe the combo of GCU in the forefoot and Tuff OS in the rearfoot makes it great both indoor and outdoors overtime. In my opinion, I would love these over the Gamma! Cheaper option too. I'll still see if I would prefer these over the Yushuai 18 Ultra Low (Update: Lace irritation went away and the uppers conformed to my foot leaving no feeling of stiffness anymore.)
li-ning office be like marketing : bruh our badminton shoe is god-tier level, why no one buy it ? intern : what if we rebrand it to basketball shoe ? nike just sold millions for overpriced leather marketing : say no more
@CaiusMartius-gf8 I'm talking performance wise. Obviously. Since this is a video and channel is about shoe performance. Nike sells are down and has been down for a while now. Their stock has tanked also. You're right, though. As long as uneducated casuals keep buying inferior products... Nike won't feel the need to make a shoe that doesn't fold in half.
Oh man I can't weight to use this for Outdoor(pickleball). 9.7 grams with GCU forefoot outsole! Their Tuff OS was great for Outdoor already and these GCU is even better😲. I like shoes with 40+cm bounce test, they are more responsive, better feel and more comfortable to me. As always thanks for the awesome review Doc!! Lining Killin the game!
Did I just get a bad pair of these? You're the second reviewer that has said true to size and yet my pair was painfully narrow in the toe box in a size 13. Length was fine but the shoes were so uncomfortable in the forefoot I had to return them, and I've never had this problem with any shoes from Li-Ning. Makes me wonder if the issue is isolated to the larger sizes.
@@FootDoctorZachit stinks to have that issue with Li-Ning because it's not like I can try them on in-store or have easy returns. Thankfully I bought mine on Poizon and was only out $10 to return them. Not sure I'll risk ordering a second pair to see if it was a batch issue unfortunately 😕
Hey doc where would you rank these as far as Pickeball shoes? I’m looking to get into new ones and I’m not sure what direction to go in. The new selkriks you did definitely have my eye. Just wanna get your opinion overall maybe your top 3 Pickeball shoes?
Hey Doc! Been having a hard time with shin splints playing ball. Could you recommend shoes or ways that can help avoid shin splints? Currently, playing in the Kobe 4 and Kai 1 if that matters.
Hey Zach, sorry to stray off topic, what are your thoughts on the Archie’s Arch support slides? Since your Xenon’s don’t have my size yet I was considering these.
When i was younger (less fat) and more explosive, i actually used to enjoy playing in Nike Free Runs. Super light and maximum freedom. Maybe these can help me re-live those days 😅
Just get game day pro and baseline insole if your feet can’t handle the stiffness of the arch support from game day pro. But note that a good arch support helps in keeping your foot solid as a unit to provide better functioning of your body’s natural mechanics.
So these are pretty much how the Freak line should be? Haha got it. (Li-Ning just keeps impressing me, and it's hard to rep other brands that aren't keeping up or putting a fraction of tech and ability into their shoes.)
Even tho it’s cool what they’re doing I love the innovation this is a pretty niche shoe I’d say. Ultra light doesn’t make a difference to me or most rec hoopers. At the pro level maybe those couple ounces would make a difference. I need the most support I can get out of a shoe.
Doc the way i observed on your fitting, you are using 2 thumbs rule, u like to ware bigger shoes and wiggle room. i dont get it how you can feel the fittings... 😢😢😢
Huh? One thumb always- no idea where the two thumbs came from other than maybe seeing my foot in the cut away which usually makes the shoe look bigger since it’s the lateral side

I hope you can also review Spencer Dinwidie’s new signature shoes from 361 degrees. The 361 degrees DVD 3. Thanks a lot, doc.
its crazy how Zach can create this long form reviews so quick
Li-Ning is the new Nike. There, I said it.
people have said that for two years
Nobody at the gym is wearing li-Ning. 90% still wearing Nike.

DANG! I just saw these a few minutes ago and you already posted it? That's crazy!
This future, the "Supershoe with lateral stability" future is one I'm really looking for. These sound amazing, hopefully I can get one soon
A toe box taper graph would be helpful to visualize and compare shoes. I'm hoping for foot shape basketball shoes to become mainstream. 🦋👣
Pls review the Crossover culture shoe line. There actually good
Hope all is well with you Zach.
Love to see your take on the rigorer ar2
This is a design bite, but it looks really good. :) It's A racing theme and design elements from a Ferrari Testarossa, nice execution.

This is awesome! Is there any chance you can review some of the Liren 4v2 or the new 5 ? Thanks doc!
Hey doctor Zach can you test out the serious player 1 ranger they have a anti roll design it would be cool if you tested them out 👍
Man I've watched many shoe reviewers think you're gonna be my new go to. A lot more info
Ur late buddy
Makes me wonder if u wud review the JB3 soon doc, since they seem to have some upper update compared to the 2nd gen, thx in advance 🙏

It may have been a batch issue- it’s happened before to me, I measure everything too so it’s not just feel and sometimes you just get an off batch
Narrow as well for a 2E width with a bunion at 7.5... but then too long at 8. Not the shoe for some people :(

Doc, can you review the new Rigorer AR1 Snowman? Thanks a lot!

I have a pair on the way. 👍🏾

How would these hold up for pickleball?!
Chinese brands innovate while Nike still feel comfortable pumping out outdated retros because they know clowns will still buy em for "nostalgia"

Is a custom made insole better than a stock premium one? Or is it not worth the money buying one?

Game day pro OR* baseline
Ok, thank you for the response
This vs gamma?

They need to be working on its colorway. it's overly tacky to me.

I think this shoe is like li ning's take on the gt cut 3
Only issue here is the price.😅
