I made this tonight for dinner and OMG, it is amazing. It’s been a very long time since i’ve had this at Panda, but as I recall, it is a dead ringer. The batter is outstanding and I can see it used in so many other ways. I did get my condensed milk to brown, it tuned into liquid caramel, but it still turned out amazing. The condensed milk concoction alone was a winner, I could eat it by the spoon full. Thanks for experimenting and sharing such amazing recipes with us.

For those of us with digestive issues with xylitol, I’m sure OOOFlavors must make a honey extract that would also be a good replacement for the honey? Love the fluffy batter, probably sticks better to whatever food you’re frying too… thanks for sharing! 👍
Thanks for ketofying this Panda re recipe. You guys should try oat fiber powder/flour next time with the whipped egg whites. UA-camr, Daniela Diaries, used whipped egg whites, egg yolks and oat fiber to batter her fish before frying in her keto fish fry video. I've tried it myself and it's sooo good!
You could freeze the condensed milk in ice cube trays until hard, then take them out and put them in a zip lock bag so you have small amounts to use in a recipe.
I'm a big fan of the walnut shrimp at Panda Express and I always order it! I'm a happy girl that you have come up with this keto version of the recipe! Thank you for all that you do! You both have inspired me to start testing regular recipes and tweaking them to make them keto friendly!

This might sound insane, but I used the leftover already thickened Allulose liquid from the candied nuts to make the sweetened condensed milk (mainly b/c I forgot to make it earlier) and it was delicious! It thickened very quickly and it tasted delicious! Call me crazy!

Our family favorite Vietnamese Resturant Cali's in NE Mpls makes this dish and serves it over steamed broccoli!! What a great combination. ( I think your walnuts look watery? Still~looks amazing!) I'd melt 2T butter and 4T of the brown sugar allulose and roast the walnuts till the sauce is sticky, pour on parchment and keep pieces seperated so they are not stuck together. The Japanese created a breaded, fried fish to satisfy the request, Tem-pooh-rah - a Japan-ified version of 'temperance'. Most of us accept it a Japanese cuisine, but it isn't. If you go to Japan and dine at a 'traditional' Japan restaurant, they won't have tempura on the menu as it is Portuguese, not Japanese. Portuguese or Japanese doesn't matter to me. It is delicious! Gotta try this one!
I have never eaten this before at panda express I always get the teriyaki chicken and broccoli and beef but guess what girls I’m gonna make this thank you for switching to keto. I was gonna take some boneless chicken thighs and use a tenderizing hammer and maybe use chicken instead of shrimp last time I had shrimp it gave me bad stomachache and I’m scared to try it again. And I did make a batch of condensed milk this Morning yup I’ll put it in the freezer
I like to use frozen cauliflower rice, but I dry it by baking it in the oven. I put the frozen rice onto a baking sheet and bake until a little brown on the edges. I use it for fried rice, casseroles, rice pilaf.
i have to mention something funny that comes up on the website recipe; it's a mistake i make that my husband has made fun of me many, many times over 20 years... it's the use of "dethaw", which technically would mean to refreeze. simply thawing should do the trick! i had a good laugh about it and love that someone else thinks similarly to me...

I just made this and WOW! yes, it was a little bit of a process but it was totally worth it! First off the keto fried rice is unbelievable. We couldn’t even taste the cauliflower at all. The drying process is 💯 necessary. The shrimp were also fantastic. I always love your recipes but damn! I miss my shrimp tempura sushi with extra eel sauce 😋 I wanted to try making some Cantonese Thai Peanut Sauce for over Spaghetti Squash, but can’t find the SF Smuckers Orange Marmalade….I think the cheapest I saw it was $23 for one jar…sigh…I have the copycat recipe for TGIFridays Cantonese Chicken Salad, and that is what inspired that thought. This looks delicious! Arrowroot flour is a good cornstarch replacement and browns nicely too if you can't tolerate whey protein. Good job girls.
Arrowroot is high in carbs. I just it checked online it has around 85 carbs per 100 grams.

There is also an imitation honey using allulose.
ChocZero has a honey substitute that has no sugar alcohol (uses monk fruit) and it's really good!
