This tutorial shows how to Setup & Use "Scan to Email" for the
HP OfficeJet Pro 8120 | 8130 AiO Printers.
HP Smart app was used for "Scan to Email" setup to use the feature from the Control Panel.
This is also applicable to the HP OfficeJet Pro 9120 | 9130 AiO Printer Series.

I have the 8122e does this scan both sides of a document ?

Thanks for checking out the channel! The document feeder only scans 1 sided, so for a 2-sided document, a manual reload would be needed to scan the 2nd side.
Here's a video on how to copy 2-sided document to 2-sided, it'll give an idea how to scan 2-sided:
