I will always regret so much not seeing this in a theater
The movie is 100 times better than this trailer
The best movie I've ever seen in my life
i agree
i agree who elsd agrees
god, the background music should be the national space anthem.
Hans Zimmer + Christopher Nolan = perfection
How come they got no Oscar nominations or anything like that?! This movie was probably the best movie I've ever seen!
Alexthefangirl Yeah They should win an oscar for best Film/Movie!
It was nominated for five academy awards and won best special effects
am i the only one who cried during the movie.... ;-;
im blue da ba dee ba da da da ba dee da dee ba da
I did too...but the feels though ;_;
SerinaGaming yes you're the only one
ALOT HAHAHA
The Prestige, Memento, Dark Knight, Inception, etc..
Nolan has never let me down, can't wait for this film.
then you have low expectations if you love nolans lowbrow hipster flicks.
god what an experience this movie was, kinda regretting not seeing it in IMAX
I've never cried so hard watching a movie as I cried watching this .. by far the best movie that I saw in the last 4 years.. 10/10
From watching this, the Oscar nominations should be for Best Actor for Matthew McConaughey, Best Actress for Anne Hathaway, Best Supporting Actress for Mackenzie Foy, Best Visual Effects, Best Production Design, Best Cinematography, Best Director for Christopher Nolan, Best Sound Mixing, Best Sound Editing and Best Picture
Nishant Sarangdhar One Oscar was an outrage!
Nishant Sarangdhar No.
No I think Eddie Redmayne deserved his Oscar he transformed into Stephen hawking and it was phenomenal but this movie also blew my mind and was amazing!
Any one cried durning the end
Mohammad Alatebe I cried in the middle as well.. dont remember why but im very sensitive (emotionally).. ;-;
Nolan just doesn't do bad movies.
I have just watched it and it is best movie in my life. I cried. Just watch it
Silvana Solujic i cried too ;-;
Silvana Solujic I cried the whole way through
Silvana Solujic HI to the both of you, I would just want to ask about the final parts of the movie where Cooper landed to that dimension from where he can see Murph from her childhood, when they part ways and the clock and all of that. What's the explanation of all of that? I humbly didn't understood it at all really, like what's the explanation of that dimension? where did that came from? That's the only part of the movie where I didn't understand. And also the part where Murph and Amelia Brand touched hands, how in the world did that happened assuming that Brand's already inside Wolf's planet and I also didn't understand about the last part Murph being really old, I thought their place's already in a great famine, hunger, extinction and I was already assuming humanity's already meeting its end. How come she's still able to have children and reach at that age? please help! Thanks!
Nguyen Minh Truc Nhan God, it's very difficult to comprehend. But thanks for the help though. I'll try.
I like how he avoids using CGI whenever possible. Even the lighting here isnt bright/flashy.
It gives such realistic experience to his story telling. A lot of Hollywood films could learn from this kind of idea.
Cant wait to see this movie in theatres!!!
Didn't have a fav movie 'til I watched this. The feels were so real...
Alright , alright , alright
best movie ever
This movie is going to be so powerful that it will rock the foundation of Science Fiction movies for many many years. Mark my word.
Epic movie, whilst watching it felt like the real whole world didn't exist anymore, thats how this movie can take one to a whole deep long journey.
***** This movie is telling us whats is happening or in the process of happening!
Breathless.
To all of you who are saying it looks like there are holes in the story just from the trailer. This is from Christopher Nolan, a man where you have to watch the full film four times before you get the complexity of the plot. I am excited.
Of course there's a hole in the plot, a wormhole.
Vaultboy101 Give that man a cookie
shit I watched Inception three times to completely understand it.
I said 3, not 4. can't u ready u fuck tard
lone wolf he was talking to me. He has apparently never heard of this thing called "a figure of speech"
Nolan's wife - You don't owe these people any more. You've given them everything.
Nolan - Not everything, not yet
I can already see the Oscar nominations
for a movie you haven't seen? lol fanboy.
What I love about Christopher Nolan is that he treats his audience as if they have intelligence, he doesn't feel the need to spell everything out our dumb it down, while creating thought provoking and enjoyable movies. He is without a doubt one of my favourite directors.
my favourite movie... just seing einstein's time dilation in relativity explained so graphically really blew me away...
Christopher Nolan + Hanz Zimmer + Matthew McConaughey
I SURRENDER COMPLETELY.
This feels like Nolan trying to claw his way back to the top of Hollywood's critically acclaimed. He takes a years break, during which McConaughey's career hits another stride and Gravity is a massive hit.
Really excited for this, finally a sci-fi movie about space that will be both good and realistic. Cannot wait.
Dammit Nolan! You're toying with my emotions! This was spectacular!
lol good one
why? im really looking forward to this, but if u take away nolans name, it doeesnt look to kl. obv there will be a point, but everything iv sen so far! just looks like kubricks 2001.
Mixed reviews of this film, some critics say he came close to his masterpiece, others say you need to have swatted up on your quantum mechanics and that the plot is quite complex. In other words - it's going to be pure awesome, and possibly an epic adventure film meant for an intelligent audience for once. Hopefully.
earth is flat. not a troll.
Believe me and write somewhere what i say:
This movie will define a generation of science boys.
that was just the most wonderful, gorgeous and the smartest science movie i ever watch.
One of the best films i have seen in a long long time. Some heartbreaking scenes in it though. It made me cry and i never cry 😪
10/10
cried 4 times throughout this film. Amazing at the end when it all tied together. Masterpiece!
That was the best sci-movie I've been seen since 2001 - A Space Odyssey
You had me at Christopher Nolan.
You had me at Matthew Mcconaughey since that was the first thing I saw.
When those shots of them flying through space come on, i just can't help but get goosebumps! the music the effects.. it looks great, can't wait.
Kudos to Hans Zimmer. He's the best Music Producer in the world.
prashanth chaitankar
It ain't Hans Zimmer who have composed this soundtrack.
What's with all the hate? This film looks great.
One of the best movies i've seen in years! It let's you think about our future and all the problems thatqe have to face
This is one of the best films I've ever watched. Definitely wanna watch it again
Don't forget your Totem when you go into the wormhole within the wormhole within the wormhole, McConaughey, or else you might not make it back.
I'm finding it really hard not watching this trailer. I want to go into this movie knowing nothing more than a synopsis and the teaser trailer.
I miss the scene at 1:28 when I watched the whole movie? What a beautiful scene that was! Why did they cut off the scene?
this is the most amazing science fiction movie i have ever seen,i cried when cooper sees his son's video growing up and breaks down really this taught me many lessons today.dont have anymore words to describe this masterpice work.it has set the benchmark for the future movies in this genre.:-)
I just keep coming back to this trailer every couple days. The amount I want to be alive for mankind's first steps beyond our own solar system... I cannot put it into words.
I've never been this excited to see a movie in my entire life. I literally got goosebumps from this trailer.
I just hope if Mathew runs into an alien its not his dead dad!
can anyone suggest me another incredible movie like this?? the sadness, the mindblowing, the power and everything...
V Castro Hmmm... Minions! Just Saying but seriously i havent come across a moving like this in a while... i have a book about these things and its awesome!
V Castro Have you seen Source Code? If not, look at the trailer. You'd like it if you liked this.
The Da Vinchi Code
V Castro Inception
V Castro Predestination, Inception, The Prestige...
can anyone suggest me another incredible movie like this ?? it's AMAZING
Another Nolan masterpiece.
You're goddamn right.
You just watched the trailer and you are callin it a masterpiece? lets just hope he doesnt end up like m. night shyamalan.
Callum Dovahkiin
Because most of his previous films were masterpiece, that's why. It's called trust.
Shyamalan? He just done ONE good movie. The rest are a pieces of shit. All Nolan's movies are at least great. He doesn't commit mistakes. Until now, his filmograohy is perfect. Neither PTA is so perfect. No doubt he is the best director of recent times and Interstellar will put him on a level of genius.
Bit early to assume that, don't you think?
On Wiki it says Matt Damon is in Interstellar plus this trailer showed mostly about life on earth and his family therefore the film is keeping the time travel and plot in the movie under wraps
Nolan is the sponge
McConaughey is the icing
The rest of the cast are the sprinkles,
to what is gonna be the the best film of the year.
I like cake.
The scene of them reaching the edge of the Universe induced such overwhelming joyful emotions, I could hardly hold in the tears. This one is going to be on my mind until it's released.
I don't really understand the story/plot? It looks awesome, but what type of sci-fi movie is this exactly?
Interstellar travel through Wormholes ! Amazing Nolan....Looks promising.
I can't wait for this movie too as a space/NASA geek. But frankly, they are way better off sending a probe before a full fleet of humans. lol come on. Space 101
I quite aware, but this is exactly what probes and robots are designed for. Go where humans can't to see if later humans can. Probably be a boring movie though.
This movie literally blew my mind! The acting to the visual effects this is an extraordinary film that everyone HAS to watch! I loved it a lot 😊❤️
Wouldn't the black hole rip apart the ship particle by particle? That's what I was tild in school anyway.
1:55 : Looks like some beautiful gravitational lensing. :)
There are trailers, and then there are trailers. This is absolutely amazing. Nolan may have outdid himself. Don't get me started on Hans Zimmer's score.
*Apparently it's not Hans score* but still....
Its May 2015 and I'm still not over this spectacular movie.
I'm really looking forward to this movie, but I have to say as a German I'm glad that we dub movies. I can't understand a thing McConaughey says in this trailer. It's all mumbling. Even worse when he plays next to someone like Michael Caine who has this crystal clear pronunciation.
Seems interesting. But this trailer showed quite a bit. I am curious to see how much the final film continues after the ship warps at the end. Is that when the credits roll? Or is that the first half of the movie? Will they spend the rest of the film finding Earth's replacement? Another planet we can rape until satisfied? Humans are a cancer.
People you should really quit the criticism, it looks great and how much can you know about the plot? it looks mature and finally a good space movie where there is no funny guy trying to entertain kids or war to sale good in the box office.
You forget that the masses are dumb and don't know anything about the world we live in, and let's not get started on anything surrounding this world. Dumb people like dumb movies with simple plots, hot actors, simple writing, no thinking involved, lots of explosions etc. This movie will do just fine. There are populations within America, and many outside of America, that actually are interested in intelligent and thought provoking content.
I'm glad someone said this. I just didn't have the guts to due to backlash and all. Kudos!
+1 dBFS very well said.
I still watch all of these trailers... the Interstellar trailers are among my favorite, most spiritually invigorating film trailers. Excellent use of music in all of them, wonderful visual progression and in hindsight, does not spoil the details of the narrative!
Interstellar > Oscars
When at 0:19 he said, "The World Doesn't Need Anymore Engineers", it seriously broke my heart..
i mean why i wasted my 4 yrs in college for???
EPICC!...Its like what movies has Nolan made that was bad? and if you think the TheDarkKnight Rises was bad then that just means Nolan is genius because compared to other movies TDKR is incredible. This guy I tell you is one hell of a story teller. Truly great. Every movie he puts out trips the mind.
This is just my opinion, so there's no need for anyone to get mad about it... I've seen almost every movie by Nolan, except for the first one. I think his best movie, by far, is The Prestige. There are many who love the Dark Knight trilogy, well, I did love the second one, but I think the third is a true No-no. There are movies worse than this but there are lots of better ones. I kind of enjoyed the first hour but then it gets so disconnected, and so illogical. I know that this is a movie, that I have to suspend my disbelief, but there are so many mistakes, and predictable calls, that in the end I was totally bored. Loved Insomnia, though. And am I the only one who thinks Inception is not the masterpiece everyone wants us to think? Anyway, I hope this is more like his first movies, and not like his last ones.
His lowest rated movie is The Prestige, and that was incredible.
***** Um memento, prestige, inception? and next is Interstellar so yeah trips the mind. Thats why hes such a great story teller.
***** exactly and if your lowest graded movie is still absolutely incredible i mean there is no better story teller
He's a very good story director, but very bad visual director.
Why are all Christoffer Nolan trailers so good
they are not
peter puff Huh?
Just watched it for the second time in theaters, will be watching it again in the future because there are so many small intricate dialogues and scenes that make a significant impact later in the movie. It's one of my favourite movies based on real science. Soundtrack is unreal too!
I need to watch this so badly... my soul needs it.
You know what's going to happen right? Mathews character is going to end up going through the wormhole and end up talking to his dad on a beach at the end.
hahaha great connecting
Lmao contact
Yep. I thought of Tree of Life, too.
For all of you who are wondering, the track used is evey reborn - dario marianelli. If you enjoy the track I highly recommend watching the actual move it was used in v for vendetta, the track was used so perfectly in it.
Best ever space movie,i still watch after every few weeks
A masterpiece by nolan
amazing how a 2min trailer can be so powerful
the trailer track is giving me goosebumps
It's "Evey's Reborn"
The soundtrack of "V for Vendetta"
SuperHarryFan Thanks for the confirmation SuperHarryFan. after watching the trailer two days ago, I posted here the request that is at the top of the comments. A little more thinking on the who, what, where, and when caused a 'click' towards "V for Vendetta" as a possible candidate. Yesterday I downloaded V for Vendetta to my new Galaxy S Smartphone and to my laptop and indeed found the track that matched the music in the "Interstellar" trailer. Very often the trailers use the tracks from other movies. What I was not aware of was the title of the track...aka.... "Every's Reborn". I think I will go to Itunes now and purchase it. Thanks SuperHarryFan. I truly appreciate it. (I suspect you are possibly an "Original Motion Picture Soundtracks" fan.
I havn't been this excited for a scifi movie in a long time. I've been waiting for another scifi that pushes the boundaries of fiction and introduces real science and philosophy. Looks fantastic.
this looks amazing. I'm expecting an emotional roller coaster and I expect to be crying. hit me with all the feels Mr. Nolan!
Some analysis. 1:40 , the chick looks like the daughter all grown up. 1:54 , they enter an event horizon, where theoritically, time slows down. I'll bet that the plot goes along the lines of Mcconaughey getting trapped. When he gets out, what feels like only a little while, turns out to be several years.
Its supposed to be a Worm Hole. Event Horizon's are related to black holes. But who knows, he could very well come out the other end of the worm hole in a completely different time. Either in the past or in the future.
Não funciona deste jeito. A gravidade produzida por um buraco negro não é capaz de "desacelerar" tanto assim o tempo. Na verdade o maior buraco negro que encontramos, conseguia dilatar o tempo, tornando-o apenas duas vezes mais lento.
Think you're right about the daughter part.... Daughter is played by two actresses : www.imdb.com/title/tt0816692/?ref_=nv_sr_1
She is, its on IMDB, Jessica Chastain's character is the older version of Murph
it looks like they cryogenically freeze someone, if you look earlier in the trailer at 1:34 you can see people being put in chambers as it fills with water.
The music on this is so powerful and emotive. Fits perfectly into the trailer, it's like a second storyteller.
My best film ever 😍 I don't know how or why... But when I see it for the 38e time, it's the same. It makes me incredibly powerful, with a lot of power and positivism and also belief...
Saludos desde Francia 😎
I wanna thank Stanley kubrick behalf of all for his tremendous work in 2001:A Space Odyssey which leads to this creation .
Nolan's cinematography is amazing
I appreciate that the trailer doesn't give away the entire plot. That's a lost art to most producers, it seems.
Looks like a gripping yet intelegent sci-fi movie, a rare thing these days. This is so on my to watch list. : )
please someone tell me is it possible for intersellar traveling?
"That's what I like about light-speed travel; everyone else gets older, I stay the same age." - Matthew McConaughey, hopefully
Oh man... My body is NOT ready for this much excitement.
let me get this straight
a movie about the world running out of food takes place in a lush, green field of corn
ooooookay
and it's christopher nolan
Incredibly good movie. One of the best I have ever seen. I did not want it to end. A masterpiece.
Nolan is back !
The Sequel is gonna be called Interstellar Rises
Please don't be PG13, please don't be PG13...
I got chills watching this. Anything Christopher Nolan does is pure gold.
This is going to be stunning, affecting, and right up there in the pantheon of Sci-Fi greats like Contact, The Fountain, Sunshine, Artificial Intelligence etc - films that make you THINK BIGGER.
Hey you left out 2001!
Feels more like 2001 than any of those.
Simo
Damn it, you're right! I hang my head in shame over that exclusion!
Dylan Melowitz
To be fair Dylan, I wasn't comparing. Simple personal preference of movies that have spoken to me, nothing more, nothing less. Not a competition.
nicely put, those def make the pantheon of sci fis! Dont forget 2001: A Space Odyssey ! =D
I am beyond excited to see Christopher Nolan's next epic. This is looking to be another masterpiece by Nolan.
"this is the mission you were trained for"
"I've got kids professor"
"get up there and save them"
nothing stops old professor :)
can't wait for this film
LOVE this movie. You can tell the director of this movie also made Inception as story line is something that you cant imagine without visualizing it on screen. I remember watching the scene where he fell through the worm whole at the end and into the "5th dimension" space. I first thought wtf Im trippin out because I was taken back by it all but everything came together after watching that scene and I know some of the space physics seems fantasy but it does make you wonder the infinite possibilities in terms of space travel and maybe we as humans can only comprehend space , time and gravity through 3 dimensional space or through laws that we can only comprehend. lol Im thinking about watching it on my own next time as my friend was so disruptive asking questions throughout the movie
This is not the film we deserve, but the one we need.
I'm not sure I've ever been so excited for a movie, this trailer speaks to me on many many levels.
CHRISTOPHER NOLAN!!! That's my BOY!!!
What a movie. Matthew and Anne's acting...Jessica Chastain...is just perfect.
another masterpiece of Christopher Nolan.
My brain is burning. Burning and burning again.
I don't have a brain any more. It's burned by this movie
