Thanks for this video Beanie! I'd appreciate A LOT if you could take a close-up picture that shows the height of the frets. The reason why I'm asking is because most chinese guitars with rounded-ends stainless steel frets are machine leveled and often remove way too much material for no reason... resulting in super low profile frets, which cause a lot of finger friction on the fingerboard. We want low action (between strings and the top of the frets), not low profile frets... which serves no purpose other than ruining playability. I own a Harley Benton Fusion-III (Indonesian) and the frets are KILLER with plenty of meat, just like my expensive Ibanez MM1 (AZ Prestige). Now that they are produced in China with rounded-end frets... I'm afraid they are also manufactured the same way as my Eart GW2 guitar, which I never play because of this particular reason. Before ordering a ST-Modern Plus, I'd really like to see a close-up picture of the height of the frets, coming from an actual owner. THANK YOU!!! 🙏🙏🙏 PS : I have OCD as well lol so that's important for me! By the way, the side dots glows in the dark (cool and useful of stage) ;)
I don't know how to add a photo but I can tell you that they are true medium jumbo high and next time I make a video on this guitar I will show a closeup on the frets or put as the thumb nail.
My gold top arrived from them with the screw from the pickguard embedded in the finish. You don't want a scar like that on the guitar to start with. These days, to ship to Canada is $105CAD. I'm glad I got my other HBs when I did during the pandemic because now the shipping costs makes them equal to what I've been seeing lately on Amazon for less.
Don't understand why different colors of the same guitar vary in their fretboard material. None of them should be laurel unless the price is discounted.
Thanks for the vid. My sea foam green st turns up tomorrow. I also noticed that the original description said maple. However ive a ton of maple necked strats and took a punt that it “would” be rosewood (laurel) as per the product pics. If you wanted maple you would either have to go for the vintage white or powder pink. Fortunately postage to uk is free with items over £149. One of the very few times the uk benefits the us as we normally have to pay way more over here for gear sadly. Hope she finds a new home.
Good day friend, excellent video, so ask, is the st modern plus better than the fusion T HH OCT EB? Well, I don't like the st modern, it's an unstable guitar and well enough people already have complaints about that guitar
@@beannie60Friend, I think the ones made in Indonesia are better, the modern ST is pretty and that, but its quality control is terrible and I think it is an unstable guitar. I have the fusion T HH OCT EB, it is made in Indonesia, an incredible guitar and good wood
I got the more expensive one a week ago. Huge dissapointment. The quality check is a joke. E&H strings buzzing, laying down to the neck. Bad intonation. Even the G string touches the frets by bending. The tremolo arm is way to loose and the block makes a click using it. Floating, but 3-4 millimeter difference from side to side. Trying to adjust the saddles, the key only fit in 5 of 12 set screws. Very hard rising the saddles, so I gave up in case I’d breake something. There is also a crack around one strapbutton. So it will be sent back. Just hope there is no trouble doing that also…
I gave up on Harley Benton's over a year ago. Just had enough of them. I have a lot of Harley-Davidsons and the ones I have are okay now but, the last one I got being a t e 40 what's the last straw with the debacle😢
Theres literally pictures. How did you think It was maple... There was no bait and switch. Also the whining about not getting free stuff and 100£ off because you make videos is crazy. You're not a big youtuber.
You should WATCH my video again before sounding foolish! I was JOKING about getting a FREE guitar, and I did say the picture showed a Laurel Board but said MAPLE FINGERBOARD! And as for being a GREAT Customer after buying over 20 guitars I would think they would give me a FREE SHIPPING LABEL or MONEY OFF!
SORRY if I'm playing in the wrong key, if you hate it please refer to my Haters video. ua-cam.com/video/yI3usqqX7i4/v-deo.htmlsi=g5BdSE-syy8AITWV
Even if the video isn’t doing it justice, that flamed maple still looks gorgeous on this end
Ty! It does look better in your hands.
Got the white one.... Also modded right away lol EMG 81 e SA SA combo... fret job on it also is necessary
COOL! I don't remember seeing a white one?
I got black one and it is well made, no issues. Just maybe frets need a little polishing. Other than that, great guitar.
You can't beat a HB guitar for the money, I still want one with a maple board just not pink lol.
@beannie60 if you are lucky, then yes. Last year, I bought HB fusion iii, and it had some issues. This time, I was lucky with HB ST modern.
Thanks for this video Beanie!

hey im buying one with a maple fingerboard and im looking for a laurel replacement, maybe we could exchange necks?
That would work only if you lived by me 😀.
where are you located?
@@matsiee Palm Harbor FL.
Why HB change from Indonisia to China for manufacturing?
Maybe it's cheaper and more money for them$$$

And I thought I'd be the only one with something bad to say. I think the Fusion is a little different but that one is a nice guitar as well. Ty!

Like every other company once they sell more than they can make QC is gone!

Yes this may be the last one for me as well. I can get something off of Amazon instead!
You shred sir. Thanks 🎉❤
👍🏻Thank you wagonet! I try ✌🏼
wow your lucky seem you on they radar...lol
Seems to me that Jet guitars are a much better bet, and a bit cheaper
You may be right, I'll have to look into that. Tanks!
that must be the most horrendous blues I heard...Since you play it in the wrong key. Wow
Looks like another Trolling AH that just can't go without saying something negative about another person, this shit must make your F'king day! F,off!
