Messi must leave, because he shouldn't waste the final years of his career in a club like today's Barcelona with all the uncertainties in the air and only then, Barca can build a team that is not too dependent on one player and expect him to make a difference in every single game. Barca needs to rebuild without Messi and it might take years and stop spending too much money on superstars.

@Naughtybeadle Rebuilding won't happen overnight. The sooner that club gets used to play without Messi and as a team, the better it will be for them in the long run.
As of positioning, they did have a choice to switch the role of Messi to CAM or a winger as he is equally efficient in those positions as well but they decided not to. Instead they opted to play the new comers against their true positions.

They aren’t going to win the league or CL. But they’ll begin an important rebuild to be good again in 2-3 years.

Bartomeu has one more year on his term, next term he can’t run again so I suspect nothing will happen. Messi has not proven anything outside of Barca, and with his age and wages, who's really going to take the risk besides China. He's not even needed in any big club in Europe. I don't see anything changing, same story told this year and next and next until he retires.

Barca is even scrabbling financially atm like mostly all clubs. No jersey sells can match that, especially during this pandemic. Unless he's willing to take a drastic pay cut or go to China, he'll be at Barca.
really hard task for any new manager. They bought the best technical players but all lacking in defense and physical. Maybe the president thought he can bring back old times of tiki taka. But you can not just replace Xavi or Iniesta. Impossible. So 2 options: you try this with your current players and bring Pep back. Or you sell them and get strong physical players around Messi. But Messi and Griezman, Dembele, Coutinho won't work.
Don't be surprised if Barca sell Messi while he still has some value. It's the best option to get the money and invest in some younger players to rebuild the team.

Messi should leave. Go to Manchester City, win the coveted Premier League title that his haters seem to think he wont win or dominate and deliver their first UCL title. His loyalty to Barcelona is rooted as they gave him a life, so its obvious Leo would return by giving them his career. If Messi somehow wins the UCL with Barcelona after all of this, it might just be his greatest achievement.

Bartomeu doesnt play. If the players have issues with the board, it should not affect their play. The board is not playing on the field. For the sake of the fans at least, they should put issues with the board aside and make the fans happy. Then they can fight with the board after the match.
Messi should be apointed the club's manager. It would be the firts player to be player and manager at the same time. Bartomeu, Abidal, and the others should go. Gurdiola back would be awesome, but Xavi could be great too.

Both should go realistically for Barcelona to flourish again. There's a high likelihood that Messi leaves next Summer regardless of who's running the club so Barcelona should cash in while they can.
