Pretty good video man. Clear, concise, and good angles. Only critique is when you're going to put the camera in amongst the engine like you did to show the back bolt for the downpipe, make sure to not rotate the camera sideways or upside down - keep up orientated to the top of the picture. Helpful when there's nothing else to reference. Looks like a very easy job - nice that Honda made it accessible.
This downpipe sounds awesome. My SI has three modes. Normal, Sport, and Individual. I have seen most downpipe videos on UA-cam but none seem to mention what mode they are in during filming. PS you did a great job for your first video bud.
That’s probably because it doesn’t matter what mode you’re in. The civic si doesn’t come with an active or valved exhaust. The only things that change when you put it in sport mode are the steering feel and the throttle response.
When you actually flash the car with either a ktuner or Hondata, the tunes might come with a certain amount of boost(psi) on either normal or sport that’s about it tho nothing really different in sound, just psi. Or matter a fact I know that Honda from factory when you put in sport the noise gets amplified inside so it might sound aggressive inside the cabin but it sounds the same in the outside. but that’s basically it they just amp up the sound more through the speakers inside
Hey man great video thanks for your time this is greatly helpful will be installing this soon as i figure how to sneak purchase it so my wife don’t find out

Great video brotha! Don’t sweat it, I know how much work and how hard making videos are (I’ve tried 🤣) but this was a good video and the car sounds good man 👍
Great vid! I used it as a guide for my installation… only thing that happened with me is that it’s throwing me a Check Engine light. I’m fairly new to the tuning and I also have a K Tunner but any advice on what I can do about the check engine light
You have to connect your ktuner to your computer, you have to search for main parameters, and then go to disables/monitors and your going to see the codes that typically pop up on 10th gen 11th gen, now look for the code that’s coming up for you which is most likely something that has to do with the o2 sensor but just look for the same code you have and check it off then save and then flash your car with the tune your checked it off on.. that’s very important to remember when you do this you have to set it up on the tune your about to flash your car with cause if not it’s not going to work. It’s a little hard to explain typing it, I’m more of a showing person but let me know if this helped you out ! You just gave me the idea to actually make a video to help you guys out on this ! Thank you
In a way it did make a slight change in noise from the inside, but in a good way. Like it’s not annoying, it legit legit sounds perfect inside with the stock exhaust you would think you upgraded the whole thing
@@Xavier.Figueroa220 yes, when installed. In order to clear that up, you would need the ktuner or Hondata to let it be know to the car that it has a downpipe now basically lol
Hey bro,is it necessary to do front and down pipe with short ram or just down pipe and short ramp for a nice sound?just got the 2024 11th gen and its my first honda ever.thank you
@@ricardotapia9282 remember it’s a turbo car, the downpipe you’ll increase exhaust flow, reduce turbo lag, and the intake more air flow for the turbo. So it’s pretty much a win win but if you just wanna do the downpipe that’s fine to just make sure you buy either a Hondata or ktuner cause you will get a check engine because it doesn’t recognize, your exhaust flow is greater compared to stock so it make it seem like something is wrong with your exhaust
Hey man I used your video as a guide and did everything the same way had no check engine after a couple hrs I got one but for the rev match system any idea on how I can fix that or why it turned on?
you need the ktuner, I’m order to turn off the code, because now with the upgraded down pipe, in simple terms you have more exhaust flow, so the o2 sensor acts up so with the ktuner not only you can give it a better tune, you can turn off that code
God forbid something was to happen and you do have to take it to the dealer for major issues, I say put the stock one back on to be safe than sorry since it’s pretty much easy.
You will need to get the ktuner to delete the o2 sensor code, cause you will get it after the install because the cat has a higher flow, so the sensor won’t recognize it. But once you do that your car will be all clear and will pass with no problem.
Mpg stays about the same i believe, when you change these things your gaining some power if you tune it which I would recommend any ways when adding modifications to a turbo car, and yea the sound does change.
Both lol it definitely makes the car better temperature wise, downpipe it does give it a extra kick to it and better sound, and little burbles and back fire when switching gears.
This particular one does throw a CEL but if you have a KTuner you can turn it off and it will pass emissions. Supposedly, the PRL downpipe doesn’t throw a code but that’s according to PRL. Either way, a tuner will take care of it.
With the screws that are provided, if you skip to 6:08 on the video you’ll see how they go, there’s only one way of getting it on nice and flush so I’m sure you’ll see what I mean
I put the link on the description for the down pipe and also they have the k tuner in the website or Hondata either or that you can buy to tune it and fix the check engine light that comes on when you install the downpipe cause you will get a check engine due to the o2 sensor. And warranty I’m not to sure bro but that’s why I’m staying with my oem dp in case I have to put it back for warranty reasons.
Yea dude it drove ok for like a day and then I got the check engine light but I bought the Ktuner and I flashed a tune they had and I got the check engine light to shut off
I didn’t really need to tune but I did need the ktuner to get the check engine light that comes up, due to the o2 sensor. Your replacing the factory downpipe with a down pipe that has a high flow Cat basically put it like this the o2 sensor basically gets confused cause there’s much more going on now since there’s less restriction so with the ktuner you can turn that off and everything will work perfectly fine, and pass inspection
Not at all, it’s legit perfect it not loud at all to be honest but the tone does change, you can tell the difference for sure and even when driving it’s not exaggerating it’s nice clean sound and you hear the crackles a little when switching gears

@EP3-SiR . Something changes in the intake baffling as well. It definitely has more intake sound in sport mode.
@@whatawd9546 Nothing changes in the intake. What you're hearing is artificial noise coming through the speakers when in Sport.
