That's true. And when I think of all the John Wayne films (and I love him and many of his films) that couldn't touch this continuous series of Westerns performed in by Randolph Scott. I don't know why these films are not of renown.
I personally never considered Randolph Scott a poor mans John Wayne as some movie critics place him I see an actor more versatile, and better scripts than Wayne great actor
Absolutely 100% right on that bro you can't go wrong with Randolph Scott he kind of reminds me of Ronald Reagan and the way he walks and moves and acts and his personality another man class act
Did you know that randolph scott at the age of 14 lied his way into the army and fought in ww1. People always considered him a real southern gentleman (he was from virginia).

Albert Lacombe (28 February 1827 - 12 December 1916), commonly known in Alberta simply as Father Lacombe, was a French-Canadian Roman Catholic missionary who travelled among and evangelized the Cree and also visited the Blackfoot First Nations of northwestern Canada. He is now remembered for having brokered a peace between the Cree and Blackfoot, negotiating construction of the Canadian Pacific Railway through Blackfoot territory, and securing a promise from the Blackfoot leader Crowfoot to refrain from joining the North-West Rebellion of 1885
One thing I dislike about Randolph Scott movies. Women he romances are always half his age or less. Sometimes he looks old enough to be their grandfather.
Funny how Hollywood never bothered doing much research. The proper way to say Metis is MayTEE. It's nice to see movies portraying this era in Canada but it would be nice to see them historically accurate too.

Wish some billionaire would build studio's and hire talent scouts to go out into the world, find stars in the rough, and like the old studio system, train them in everything entertainment and make great movies again...I'd be at the flicks two or three times a week. Oh! And bring back the B picture...where many great actors got recognition from the fans.

Randolph Scott was so macho. Few people back then had any idea he was gay. In those years, you kept such things deeply in the closet. It's a different world today. He couldn't imagine that years later, men would actually marry each other. And he'd be amazed that years later, they could openly serve in the military. Nothing much has been built since, such as high speed rail links. The usual excuse is there are not enough people, although there was nobody when they built this.
A female doctor fell in love with Tom who was her patient. And I was worried about what would become of his wife but he after all returned to his wife.
This sudden inexplicable switch in love interests (along with some other nonsense - "join the enemy") has completely derailed this movie. I'd be walking out of the theater now and demanding my money back!
@@glenncox5695 Well, Jane Wyatt was supposed to represent the stiff, unbending.
