Container is important, should harmonize with colors and type of flowers, colored vases look better, and show less particles in the water. Play with the height of the flower, so you have demension, and height of your choise. Foliage stems, foliage covers edges, and adds fullness and strength to structure of arrangement, so it looks full and all flowers stand up nicely.
