Bravo! Perfectly performed. For me, the most beautiful music I have heard was 50 years ago, after five consecutive nights at the Metropolitan Opera, a presentation of Die Meistersinger von Nürnberg. The audience was exhausted, the orchestra was exhausted, the singers were exhausted. Then, they performed the music and lyrics for the death of Siegfried. What a spiritually, emotionally and psychologically stimulating experience!
Schubert for sure had the knack of certain specifically beautiful sequences that return in many of his masterpieces. They are on the verge of being sentimental but he understands when to stop the second before they go that far.

Remember listening to my son learning to play the euphonionium, within a short period of time, I couldn't believe the wonderful music he was playing He was self taught. I was self taught on the cornet, but did not play as well as as he could.
