Beautifully sensitive phrasing!
Great job on all of those interval leaps! You made it sound so smooth.
It is NOT the most beautiful tune, but a wonderful one. You played it masterly and perfect! 10 of 10. imho
True and real. I'm still waiting for him to do an arrangement of El Deguello or something similar.
What makes a beautiful piece is subjective. My favourite piece of music is Bailero by Canteloube. It brings me to a place of stillness and wonder every single time. I save it for when I need to be reminded that the world is not just full of horrible things
Your phrasing really makes this shine. Lovely!
You make that piece sound so beautiful on a flugelhorn!!!
Bravo! Perfectly performed. For me, the most beautiful music I have heard was 50 years ago, after five consecutive nights at the Metropolitan Opera, a presentation of Die Meistersinger von Nürnberg. The audience was exhausted, the orchestra was exhausted, the singers were exhausted. Then, they performed the music and lyrics for the death of Siegfried. What a spiritually, emotionally and psychologically stimulating experience!
Schubert for sure had the knack of certain specifically beautiful sequences that return in many of his masterpieces. They are on the verge of being sentimental but he understands when to stop the second before they go that far.
Absolutely Beautiful👏🎼🎵🎶🎺
Beautiful tone and phrasing. You will go far!
Wonderfully performed! Bravo!
Beautifully done, and many thanks for the free arrangement score ! (Now, I'll get to practice a bit more...)
Well I found my next "etude" for practicing! Thanks for sharing this!
What a beautiful sound!❤
Not sure if it is the most beautiful tune ever written, but your playing of it is exquisite.
Beautiful, Oli! My favourite Schubert piece. Thank you.
So very well played. Thank you.
Beautiful playing!
Love all your content. Yes, beautiful.
Beautifully done. Thanks for sharing, from East Tennessee
Excellent playing. Sounds beautiful. 👍👍💯
Excellent! Well done.
Great control of the instrument!
Gorgeous piece.
It is beautiful because of the way you play it. Bravo!
beautiful. thank you.
Beautiful!!
That was a real pleasure to listen to. Thank you.
Played with good technique and musical phrasing, very enjoyable. Bravo!
Nice clean playing!
absolutely fantastic, Oli well done
Oh my ...
Just lovely! 🤗
Gives me piano vibes (ofc it does as it is written for piano 😛) but with like a warmer tone🙂 you play rly beautiful!
Great playing
Beautiful playing.
Beautiful!
Inspiring. lovely
Well done!!!!
It may be. Good heavens this is exquisite art. Bravo.
How wonderful that most, if not ALL, of the comments are so complimentary filled with enormous adulation for your efforts. It's Nice to know that intelligent and refined and educated persons are speaking such acclaim about your training, your rendition and your superb mastery of the instrument as well as the nuance you bring to bear through your brass. Congratulations for garnering so many glowing comments on your blog. Respectfully Yours Gregg Oreo
Interesting tune. Well played. Let's see if we can keep up following you. Good luck fella. 👍😀😉🕊
Bravo!
Terrific!!
0:19, omg those four notes. Beautiful
For me, the most tune every written is John Williams’ “Force Theme”, as heard during the Tatooine sunset scene in “A New Hope”.
Absolutely soul stirring music.
Like a piece piece written by JS Bach. Thank you for sharing!
When I said Bach, I was referring to BWV 1013 Partita. Same rhythm (sort of), same articulation, and most of all, it is played beautifully!
Dude this is a amazing.
👏👏👏👏👏 bravo.. Nice tone too...
That's so beautiful on whatever brass instrument this is - ah, a flugelhorn. I am not familiar with the flugelhorn. You play so beautifully, each note has distinction and clarity. Thanks for sharing
so clear
And the reverb is nice!
I'm melting..... in a Good Way!! ah, LOVED the way you played that. ... Wonderful, thank you. ❤
Adding... one of my favorite pieces is Aaron Copland's "Quiet City " ... Would love to hear you do your own arrangement?
Schubert impromptu in Gb. Love it
Really enjoyed this! Hope your neighbours did too! 😀👏
There are a lot of beautiful melodies out there. It's all a matter of personal taste.
When i think of the most beautiful tune it is a tie between Ode to Joy and Variations on a Shaker Theme. This is lovely too
Well, while this was not the most beautiful tune ever written it certainly was the most carefully crafted title to bait us.
It's a step up from reveille, for sure. But we'd just stay in bed to listen 🎶!
R U B A T O !! modeled masterfully.
You really make the fluegelhorn look so effortless to play but I bet it's just as hard to get a sound out of it for a beginner as it trying to get a single squeak from a trumpet xD
It was very nice ,as to being the best tune ever written ,well it all depends what turns you on 😊😊
Definitely makes for an excellent "etude" for fluglehorn. Would also work well... 2 steps higher in the key of C for trumpet.
It varies.
I once told a friend that I enjoyed brass (band) music. Her immediate reaction was to ask “you mean oompahpah”? No no no. Music played on the brass instrument is as melodically a joy to listen to.
It is certainly better than anything that passes as popular music today, and the last 40 years for that matter.
Yes, it is
Love your playing Oli. Ever played "Rodriguez concerto"?
You did such a a wonderful job on this piece and yes the flugelhorn was absolutely fantastic. You continue to go outside the technique of playing and adding such a beautiful sound. Bravo Oli 👏🏻👏🏻🎺 By the way, what is the name of this piece?
My father's favorite instrument was the flugelhorn. He was a musician and played one.
A very under appreciated instrument, plus the euphonionium. Remember listening to my son learning to play the euphonionium, within a short period of time, I couldn't believe the wonderful music he was playing He was self taught. I was self taught on the cornet, but did not play as well as as he could.
Красавец!
Very nice piece, but i like the playing even more!
Beautifully played but Aria by Acker Bilk is my favourite - a really haunting stunning piece
I don't play, but that seemed flawless.
Beautifully played, no matter how exactly we rate the piece of music. Thank you indeed.
Just to be specific: Is this a fluegelhorn?
I have a flugelhorn, and I was wondering what the extra key/valve was for, any ideas?
I had to look at the music in the thumbnail carefully to be sure it wasn't a "Clarke study"!
I wish I could have had this instead of all those Arban studies.
Wow. You are awesome. Do find the Mellophone easier to play than the French Horn?
Beautiful!
What horn are you using?
Could i ask what is the trigger your pinky is using? Also good vid bro
d and d flat are to sharp on trumpet and flugelhorn, so you use the trigger to lengthen the 3rd pipe to make lower
🙏🙏🙏❤❤
Yes, it is a complex and interesting melody. Beautiful and maudlin.
Very well played. The tune is itself is OK, but is certainly not the most beautiful tune ever written, but you did get me to click on this site and listen, so I guess a little 'innocent' deception can work.
what kind of horn do you play? (Manufacturer/model)
Cobgratulations.
I'm a pianist. I've played the original. I think yours is better. I love it!!
Fajne. Takie The Finale Countdown
😊
hey, what mouthpiece do you use? greex
This is nice but the most beautiful tune I've come across is Bastiano Chilese's Canzon in Echo a 8.
Hallo Oli, are you the best. How can you become so good?
I think Handel wrote the most beautiful tunes ever written.
Most beautiful tune, ever written? I think not!
No auto tune? 😯
I must be missing something.
based
👍👍👍👏🤣👏🙏🎼🎺
Classical music looks more demanding than jazz
Even if the arrangement was originally written on piano, it sounds like it was almost made for flugelhorn because of the articulation and control of dynamics that only wind instruments can provide. Very nice playing :)
Thanks, glad you like it! 🎺
it's extremely well played, but schubert would be distraught if you suggested it were almost made for flugelhorn
Maybe not. He might be delighted that his composition was being enjoyed on another instrument. (:>)@@majorowe
haha maybe@@Chazd1949
@@majorowewhy would Chopin even care? He didn’t even write it
