Hi Maya, I just want to thank you for all of your vulnerability and transparency about your journey in Christ. After going through a challenging time recently with my partner at 7-8 months postpartum, a lightbulb went off in my head to commit to learning and becoming closer to God. For a while now I've spent a lot of time praying to God (my notes app is FILLED with prayers from over the last couple of years) and before I started praying to God, I would say I believed in him but my faith wasn't strong. I had moments of doubt. I would only pray during bad/tough situations. Then my mental health got really bad to where I started actually talking to God more often and not just in bad/tough situations. I started doing affirmations and all these other things besides truly trying to get closer to God. I guess you could say it was the start of my "lukewarm era" that I'm still in. It helped for a bit but it still didn't do what I truly needed. It wasn't fulfilling and the peace would go away quicker than it would come. So, due to the recent hardship in my relationship, I knew I needed to surrender and truly open up myself to God. I began getting urges to pray more, pray harder, I now have the desire to read the Bible so I am actively trying to start on the Bible app then for the new year, want to do the One Year Bible you have then eventually read the Bible as it is, I have the desire to go to church and be saved, I have the desire to let go of alcohol and secular music - I feel it and want it! And thank you to your videos, you are making my journey a bit more at ease and honestly exciting - I relate to your story just by the glimpses you've shared from your modesty journey to how you used to fornicate and how you lived your life at one point and it gives me hope and helps me release the shame I feel about my past. I binge watch your content almost daily! Even my 9 month old daughter gets caught up in your videos to where I refer to you as Auntie Maya LOL but please keep going, don't stop and I hope this gives you confirmation that your content helps so much! From the weekly vlogs to the deep cleans to the modesty hauls to the christian girl chats - ALL of it! Thank you from the bottom of my heart!
