Neither am I an actor nor do I plan on becoming one in the near future. But this relates to me way beyond my imagination. It's probably not just an "acting masterclass", but rather a "life masterclass". Grateful for the upload. Hope to watch more such from other maestros as well🙏🏼
Theatre isn't just a medium of entertainment. It changes you in ways you can never imagine. That's what i've learned in the past 8 years as a theatre artist.
reminded of special once in lifetime opportunities to get trained by amazing people . In my school days we would sometime have a visiting person who would talk about something totally tangent to books and tests and as if school never existed. The lecture would have even the backbenchers in rapt attention. Loved those.
When i was in my teenage i dont know anything about acting and my parents are always talking good stuffs about naseeruddin shah when ever his movies comes on television so at that time i didnt understand but now i understand what a great talent indian cinema got sparsh, khandhar, katha, masoom, jaane bhi do yaaro some of my favourite movies❤❤❤❤
‘Shouldering the burden of someone else’s creative imagination … that’s exactly what an actor does!’ Thanks a lot for uploading the video; it was a pleasure listening to him. I quite liked the idea of having a round up session the next day to get an individual feedback from all students.
So happy to know, Asit. And thanks for the footnote on the next day session! It took quite an effort from all of us there :) The idea was to register the mark left on each NSD student for whom the class, was arranged in the first place.
Whenever he says something I listen with fascination ❤ I got a chance to meet Naseer Sahab only once at Ahmed Khan Sahab's birthday party in Bhayandar flat in Mumbai. In those days, we all were the next door neighbors of Khan sahib. Charu and I sang songs that night. Apart from this, we met many times in Delhi, sometimes in NSD and sometimes in Shriram Center, but never got a chance to talk🙏
Watching this as an aspiring Filmmaker (writer and director to be specific). Knowledge about acting will be beneficial for filmmakers too. And that too when you are learning from veteran like Naseeruddin Shah.
been into academics in my life of 30 years but the idea of making real the unreal is really fascinating. For an actor the scene is a lived experience I guess.... Amazing guru
Dear mam! I didn't complete my graduation but I want to join NSD as a sweeper bhi chalega mai class room hall room sab saaf kr dunga dear teachers plz as a spot Boy he le lo 😢😢
Amazing upload. It was a much-needed masterclass for me as I completed the filmmaking diploma track, which was absolutely mindboggling. Thank you Rajula Shah for the upload. Love and best wishes to all of you from Pakistan
People in the video, we would love to know what you guys are doing now after all these years of NSD and FTII. And how these amazing experiences have impacted your life. Please comment here.
I have worked with three people from this class in a feature film as a producer ! But today after watching this master class, I realised how these classes have shaped them not just as an actor but also as human being ! They are the people you want to be with.
