Adam Silver has spent the last several years hinting at a future expansion of the NBA, whether it's to Seattle, Las Vegas, or Mexico City. In this series, Mexico City is the NEWEST expansion team to be added, finding their place in the Southwest Division of the Western Conference. Join me as we take on the role of GM with the Aztecs franchise and look to turn the organization into a powerhouse team.
Important sliders for MyNBA are also shared at the end of the video, although they are subject to change.
They need to fix timeouts too..they're happening roughly around the same time every game consistently
I love the team logo, but this offseason, I think you should change the ball on the headdress to gold, becaus it adds some variety, and the aztecs were known for their gold.
I had the same issue with terrible minute distribution, hoping 2k fixes it soon, because I haven't been able to watch any games in my rebuild
because of the subs issue the player stats become really crazy and unrealistic. Honestly can't play mynba right now.
Yea it's terrible, idk how these issues happen and they don't notice. I noticed this immediately in my first game of playing. I refuse to start my NBA until it's fixed
Really hope they fix the rotations. I want to start my NBA run but I just can't it's stupid. Just seeing players play 44-45 minutes a game in regular season games. Leads to weird stats as well. I'll be waiting. Apparently they are aware of the issue tho

Someone on X told me to take control of the cpu team and set the substitutions to rotatation and then go back to my team controls. I did and it's subbing more now for both teams. But I've only played two games. I do player lock in myNBA so I'm not sure if cpu to cpu works to but worth a try. It's def not following my rotation timeline set. Did you adjust your contract sliders and progression for year one?
I adjusted the contract sliders to what I used in the final several seasons on 2K24, given that they don’t seem to have been fixed. I haven’t touched progression yet. I’ll try your rotations fix for our next game
I watched a game against the Utah Jazz and Grizzlies and I feel like the whole starting 5 was in the game cause they were all tired.
Idk if you try it already but my thought would be maybe change coach substitutions to fatigue

Heads up, I had to delete my expansion team file due to the new nba in season tournament. Don't know if it was just my file or if others have the same problem, but for some reason I wasn't able to progress pass the in season cup finals
Is the nba cup still applicable if you have 6 new teams? Last time on nba2k24 it was not
Can you really put a team in Mexico City in NBA 2k25 or do you pick a city that is available, and say it is Mexico City?

I just spent a long time saying, "Find the Aztec OG. Build a system around him. If he's not yet on the team, trade for him." With that being said, I just had another idea you may find intriguing. In your first Aztec Vid, you specifically mentioned the coaching staff and making a lot of changes before next season.
Okay, you don't have an OG Aztec. There is no Mexico City counterpart to Jalen Duran. But the OG is not the player, it's the new head coach? Grit and grind? Space and pace? Triangle? Defense? What will the new coach specialize in? (Remember a coach may specify one system but is just as good or almost as good in another. In other words, it may specify a coach is rated as an 80 with, "perimeter centric" but may also be a 75 with, "space and pace." Be sure to check the coach's attributes.
(If you have your heart set on a specific system proficiency that you think would be a fun challenge - such as a grit and grind - don't be afraid to slightly edit a new coach to better fit the team needs. Not one of your followers will fault you for doing that. I certainly won't.)
With Virginia City, we had the OG Neptune, Jalen Duran. He was the very first Neptune, stayed with the team the entire time and the team was ultimately built around him. With Mexico City, we don't have a focal player. I don't see anyone who will be the OG Aztec. There's Josh Green and James Wiseman as the only two players under 25 y/o. Both of whom aren't even playing. Most of the team are no more than a year or two from regression due to age. I get the concept of, "In two years, this team will be completely different," and that is a great twist. But there is just, 'something,' about having an OG. At the very least, when it comes to building a team, developing a system and coming up with a playbook; having that one person to focus on can make all the difference.
With the Neptunes, the Seven-Seconds system proficiency was selected as the best match for the team, largely based on how well it fit Jalen Duran. The question is, with the 27 y/o, 6'9", slightly undersized Center, Robert Williams - as the first pick of the Aztecs - be the man of the future and the original face of the franchise?
We could look at the underdog effect and have Green or Wiseman shoot up to stardom as the OG face of the franchise. But neither of them are even coming off the bench and will really not get any better until they do. Perhaps another possibility could come into play?
As an example... Given Adams is close to retirement and Wiseman is sitting the bench, perhaps a 2 for 1 trade for C Walker Kessler may be in order? Then again, Adams and Green may be a good 2 for 1 for an under 24, two-way SF with great potential? A 2 for 1 or 3 for 1; for a potential cornerstone of the team to build around? Fill in the newly vacant line-up spot(s) with some cheap FA, who's likely going to be sitting the bench anyway.
And, if Green or Wiseman will be a part of Mexico City's future, they need to get off the bench and get some decent minutes, if you want them to improve. If not, why are these two younger player on the team? At 23, they are too old to be a project player and too young to be ignored.
Lastly, when you do find Mexico City's version of Jalen Duran, be sure to find his preferred system match. Then again, you may decide on the type of system you want to use and THEN find your OG Aztec. For instance: space and pace (high passing, somewhat balanced), triangle (high IQ) or grit and grind (high physical and defense orientated) are all challenging systems to build around. If a future starter is on the team now, use him as your map. If he's not there, get him there!
Can't believe people pay good money for such a garbage-quality product that has so many bugs. Everyone needs to contact 2k and ask for compensation. Either a partial refund...discount on a future game...VC...whatever matters to each individual. Don't let them do you dirty. You should NEVER pay full price for a beta test version of a game. Stand your ground and let your voice be heard. 💯
I can't believe even the substitution system is now broken.. I pray people will stop buying 2K products so they'll take notice and JUST ONE TIME release a working game
Hi Stumpy, love the channel but it's honestly hard to watch an entire game of 12 min quarters.. Please do 6 min quarters to make it possible to finish an entire game. Also please show the new features like the Eras (new to me since I haven't paid for a 2K product since 2k20 during Covid when it was $29).
Also why not do a fantasy draft in an Era? I'd watch that.
