Great stuff, Andrew. Been watching all your videos off late. A thing to add: On 17.1, there's a little issue with the extensions. You cannot install the Stable/Preview (Windows App SDK) version from MSDN. Nor does it come pre-installed, though it says so on their documentation page. The version that you can install is the Experimental one, which has not been updated after 0.86 preview version. It is possible to make WinUI apps with that extension, however most the interaction features are from the Project ReUnion days.
Just wanted to pass on this info to everyone who'll install 17.1 and go, "Hmm, why does it look like UWP from the early Win 10 days?"
Your videos are awesome, Andrew. Keep them coming. Good luck in your coding journey :)
Edit: You have to manually select SDK during installation. Mind you, this is not the Windows App SDK. It's the C# Windows Template SDK. It's a bit hidden, or rather, it's under .Net Desktop Development kit. They should've made it more user-friendly, but hey, baby steps...

I really appreciate your tip. I added an Update on the descriptions. I hope this is what you meant.

@@AndrewKeepCoding Could you link an image on Imgur or some image hosting site with an arrow pointing at the "selectable template" or update with an overlay on the video? It's easy to find for me, but there'd be a lot of new programmers stumbling to this, and if they're anything like I was in the early days, they'd feel silly missing it out and developing on vanilla UWP.

I added a snapshot link (imgur.com/gallery/8i1KUNb) on the description. Good way to share images. Thanks!

⚠ Update! Visual Studio 2022 v17.1 or later: If you followed the instructions in Required workloads and components above, then the templates are already installed.

I am happy that you have created this content. Thank you for doing so. However, your video is rather blurry, making it difficult to see what choices you are selecting and impossible to read what websites you're visiting. Please provide links to websites used. I am unable to find the "Install Windows App SDK extension for Visual Studio" address.

Changing the UA-cam Quality settings might improve your experience. I also took a look at the "Windows App SDK Extension", and found out that it's built-in in the Visual Studio 2022 after version 17.1, so you don't need the extension in the latest version. You can find this in the "Install tools for the Windows App SDK" page. I guess I need to create a new updated video about this.

@@AndrewKeepCoding Hey. I dont seem to have the "Windows App SDK Extension" built-in even though my Visual Studio 2022 version is over 17.1.

The "Windows App SDK Extension" was necessary to install the project templates. As you have VS2022 v17.1, you just need to install the workloads and the projects will be there. You can check it here (docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/apps/windows-app-sdk/set-up-your-development-environment?tabs=vs-2022-17-1-a%2Cvs-2022-17-1-b#required-workloads-and-components).

I'm sorry to hear that...Not so sure if I have legitimate reasons but thanks for understanding. I'm still struggling with the channel but I'll keep trying to improve the videos and hopefully be some help for the others.
