MRT Malaysia- The world's first Variable Density Tunnel Boring Machine

Two types of TBMs are being used to excavate the tunnel for the MRT Sungai Buloh-Kajang Line. In the portion of the alignment going through the Kenny Hill Formation, Earth Pressure Balance (EPB) TBMs will be used while the world's first Variable Density TBMs, which was specially developed jointly by world renowned TBM manufacturer Herrenknecht AG of Germany and MMC Gamuda joint venture, will be used to excavate in the Kuala Lumpur Limestone Formation portion of the alignment.

Surayna 1606 u search ln utube, urban digger:national geographic mrt malaysia. There contain a risk when the tbm accidently hit the ubderground structure of shopping mall. I dont know how they avoid, but in that video, they just continue the tbm drive though already hit the structure.

In Malaysia, property boundary extends all the way to the center of the earth and all the way up to the sky.
This is why their subway had to snake below the street, never below anyone's property.

Actually no.
It was caused by a ongoing DBKL project to build an underground passageway (road) to reduce congestion in that area.

In KL, there is low risk of earthquake because mostly the land in KL have many limestone layer. ACCORDING TO HISTORY, KL HAVE NEVER EXPERIENCED AN EARTHQUAKE. Usually country located on the islands have big risk to earthquake occur such as Indonesia, Philipines and Japan. If you didnt understand the video dont make your simple conclusion.
