Thank you for this beautiful and helpful sharing of information. I loved the comment about how animals seem to have a way to do this naturally. I remember my collie would comfort me and nuzzle me. Touch has been missing from my life recently. I’m excited to learn how to use this method to help with my own healing. Thank you 💕
Heat on traumatized parts using bean bags in microwave is helpful also they have strategies for self touch and I love that it’s organized based on the body it self.
thanks fot this wonderful gift
enriching interview, i am thankful
Around 28:00 she mentions early Greek doctors using touch to heal- can anyone point me toward information about this? Possibly even reading her Pacífica dissertation!?
Dr Alexander Lowen founded Bioenergetic Analysis studied with William Reich and expanded on Character Structures, groundedness, and contraction and expansion.
wow
This is great and helps align much of what I already felt. I recommend also researching “focusing” meditations sister.
What is continuum??
somaticsanctuary.com/continuum-movement/ Continuum Movement®, founded by Emilie Conrad is an exploration of the fluid Intelligence of our bodies. We use sound and subtle movement to activate fluids within the body, be it lymph, blood, fascia, nerves, organs, muscles, bones, and cells. The choreography of fluid reveals itself as wave motion, undulations, pulsations, curves, and spirals. Through deep listening, breath, and the language of sensation, we arrive into communion with the Bio-Cosmic forces nourishing, healing, and supporting us.
Continuum Movement® activates the Web of Intelligence flowing naturally through our bodies. Adaptive patterns from unresolved trauma and the general stress of life can create constrictions and limitations affecting how this innate wisdom flows; often resulting in physical pain, anxiety or other forms of dis-ease. As layers of habits and patterns soften, a greater flow of intelligence guides the body back to its natural state of well-being and vitality.
I am very irritated to hear that nobody worked with touch in the early seventies. I heard, that even Wilhelm Reich, the pioneer of bodypsychotherapy, worked with touch. And there was a great bodypsychotherapist called Gerda Boyesen who already worked with a lot of technics with touching clients in London in 1969★
Yes wow, I did some training in Gerda Boyeson’s Biodynamic Therapy.
And Dr Alexander Lowen studied with Riech and founded Bioenergetic Analysis

Are blinking eyes a sign of trauma ? Would make sense but what would be the connection in your understanding Gunang? Could also of course be dry eyes etc .......
Deep Sleep Clinic Deirdre O Connor This is a tiny fraction of experience: but when I had a physical confirmatory experience and the whole universe and every planet in the world aligned and the sky cracked open and I felt the most safe collaborative and just calm and happy feeling ever and every feeling organized in my body. Leading into this my eyes where blinking like crazy!
Based on the body keeps the score I think it’s connected to EMDR and EMDR works because of how REM Sleep works.
@@DaveE99 Thank you for sharing your experience. I engage in fascial bodywork practices, both myself & on others, & would also agree with you on the eyes as a release, also shaking, uncontrollable laughing, of course crying. It is fascinating to me all the ways we can release these experiences. But I really appreciate you sharing yours. That sounds like a powerful release.
Blinking eyes pretty much - still in trauma?
"Energetic resonance" lmao, just say you don't know how it works instead of relying on mystical language without basis in reality.
