Hey cgb I am a frequent chromatic black player to mythic and here are some thoughts: 3 krasis is good You need a ritual of Soot in the side and maybe even another one maindeck. Karn isn't really worth it, if you want more redundancy for lantern you can run 2x navigators compass for when you just need a single colored source (it's not great though). And sacrificing sideboard slots on a deck built around masterminds hurts. 4 stronghold sometimes is too much, many times you will scry a stronghold and keep it up when you already have one just to hit the land drop and wish it was a swamp, somehow I believe 3 works better. A Mirari Conjecture on the side is great, for example on game 1 you had the opponent tapped to play it and many decks have no answer, you can reoccur contempt masterminds and go nuts with the last step of the saga. After a lot of testing I believe chromatic green to be better because nissa does what stronghold does, is also a win condition and let's you play dual lands still getting double mana so the manabase isn't so stretched.
I've been playing Chromatic black w/ Karn for about a week now. I feel like you are wasting a lot of the sideboard potential. Bolas's Citadel is made for this deck. Mono-black with 8 cards that can grab it from the sideboard. It should definitely be there, especially with the next card. Wand of Vertebrae is an extremely important card in Karn decks. It creates an infinite loop with Karn. You exile the Wand shuffling 5 cards from your GY back into your library, then get it back with Karn again. You can never be decked and you can always get back whatever they remove. Plus it mills the top card of your library, so if it is a land or something you can't play with Citadel you can just move it off the top. And you can get your Acquisitions back over and over again. I also started running Powerstone Shards in the sideboard. Originally all 4, but been only running 3 lately. They just give you so much more mana. I went down to 3 because with all 4 in play I still had to limit myself to x = 20 on my Krasises to keep from decking myself. I run a copy of Blast Zone and Field of Ruin in the deck with a copy of Crucible of Worlds in the sideboard. Just good repeatable destruction. Field of Ruin every turn is pretty gross, especially against decks like the Esper and Jeskai decks that run maybe 1 or 2 basics at most. Another couple of good cards are Azor's Gateway for a little card draw, and Sphinx of the Guildpact for a decent hexproof beater. As for the main deck, I went all out and even threw in the new Nicol Bolas as another card to cast with Lantern. Bedevil, Mortify, Oath of Kaya, there are a lot of good cards that you can toss in.
Not using the Dominaria swamps depicting the stronghold when playing chroma black gives bad luck, my guy. Also, no Star of Extinction in the board? It's a great answer to stupid boardstates with a mix of dorks and walkers.
@@LordKoKuyou more often than not the creature power is always staggered on a developed board...green Mana dorks into heavies...red weenies into whirlers etc...she's pretty versatile
CGB you don't have to manually sacrifice every single treasure when playing a card. You know when you complain that the opponent is being a jackass by playing on full control? You're doing the same thing. Just play the card and the game will give you the option to pay the cost using everything you have (including sacrificing all the treasures at once).
Massacre girl was a poor pick in the last game, wouldn't have killed anything except their 1/1 because the next toughest was the deputy on 3 which would live, ending the loop. Second spyglass shutting down prime speaker again might have saved it?
I would just like to point out this is the second video where you tell us you sleep in your underwear and/or naked. Here saying you don't always sleep in pants and last (?) video saying you woke up and put on pajamas presupposing you had on nothing in bed.
12:57 FAIL! you get 2 EXTRA Cards for what you need black now?! Then Talk Like 1 Min Talk Talk but Draw 2 Cards of maps all his Mana is Done so 0 Couter.
I love watching these crazy builds, but even I'm getting frustrated with the amount of time you take on your turns... I'd rather see a little more fast and loose with more games than 3 minutes of watching you explain 10 different lines of play. Other than that, I have no problems with your content
I can never work out if overplaying Command the Dreadhorde is a really stupid mistake or a spectacular way of conceding defeat.
Why not both? :P
"Sometimes we gotta build a strong board presence and win that way"
WHERE IS JOSU THEN!
agreed , josu is bae in chromatic black
If you can't math you should not play Command the Dreadhorde.
“You’re not a mountain. I love it already.”

@8:20 Even if you wanted to -3 Ugin, it wouldn't be possible because it only targets coloured permanents.

i like this, it is very much like my Karn's Contract revisited that centers around Liliana's contract in the sideboard.

Do you have a deck list?
your deck sure sounds intressting
@@thehoboshack5253 I certainly do. Sorry it took a bit to reply, work has been crazy. Here ya go. www.mtggoldfish.com/deck/1980886#online
the second game was epic kept me on the edge of my seat would love a comeback compilation games like that are why I watch

That's a great point. Both of them.
Massacre Girl is so satisfying...I really wanted you to drop a "Your go" after you wiped their board. ;)
A deck this fancy really deserves to be played in ranked.
Is there a funnier way to win than opponents commanding the dreadhorde for over their life total?
24:00 why was he manually sacrificing anyways when he could have just played mastermind's?
I was wondering the exact same thing
Massacre Girl was initially reviewed poorly / underestimated. Nice to see her rise. Unblockable after the board wipe is rough as hell!
She is only good against wide boards so she can be good or bad depending on the META.
She is godlike against mono white and Hero decks.
@@LordKoKuyou more often than not the creature power is always staggered on a developed board...green Mana dorks into heavies...red weenies into whirlers etc...she's pretty versatile
@@CuShorts Not always. It's not hard to be in a situation where she can't kill the board.
I doesn't mean i think she is bad. I actually like her.
@@LordKoKuyou I mean if you put her in a deck with a bunch of 1/1 token generation you get her to wipe a board almost always.

8 tutor...Seems fair
Whenever I see a player end a game on 1 health, it always makes me think of how efficient they have to be with their health.
Life is a resource in MTG anyways except when it isn't.
Deck looks fun!
the treasures can be auto sacrificed for mana now
You don't have to manually tap Treasures anymore, btw. There's a button for that. Just cast the card next time, it'll pop up.
So you were counting 1 and 2 off during the game around 20 to 30 minutes because of chromatic lantern and then immortal sun
Fantastic game vs Simic Thieves! So clutch!
You just got birthing podded last game. Man i miss that card.
F to that suicide command
Still waiting for another Karaoke video, Dan
16:18 Remember guys, math is important ... Even the smallest sum like 2 + 2
I see 8 tutors in the title and my first thought was "So you're trying to play modern in standard?"
I preferred the ad with the pretty pictures ;(

Dat massacre girl
