Somebody earlier asked for the "scale" Moreno was playing... the chords I hear are:
    Ab min 7 / E min7 / D maj7 / Db7 (twice)
    Ab min 7 / F min7 / B maj7/ Db7 (twice)
Awesome tune, I'm going to sit down and try to learn some of those licks!

Aaron Parks is brilliant. Just heard him at the Village Vanguard and I kept thinking how "Russian composer" he sounded. Like a lot of Shostakovich or Stravinky influence. He played some low end chords that just sounded miles away from the university of bebop. He played around some pedals on inner notes that was just stunning. The guy is just fantastic and is just a fresh voice in jazz. And what great use of space. He gives the other players so much. Wow.

Just watched Aaron Parks live for the first time last night after being inspired for years in my teen years by his "invisible cinema" album. He was playing for Ben Wendel(he needs to hurry up and come out with that "Seasons" album lol too dope), another great musician! It was a check off on my bucket list. Even though I sat in the back I felt the music entirely. I wish I could see him perform this vibe again! I heard he has a band called "Little Big" and he's coming back to this sound. I'm excited! I'm a huge fan. I want lessons lol I'm always searching through Apple Music to see what albums he's on. He inspires me to make music of my own. Definitely in my Top 3 favorites piano players. 10/10 for this album! I dub "Nemesis" as Storytelling Jazz. It really takes you somewhere hence the whole invisible cinema concept. Mr. Parks is always storytelling through his sounds. Please upload some more if you can. Take care.

His technique is so unconventional but it works for him. He plays flat fingered, only a few well known jazz pianist plays that way such as Art Tatum, Thelonius Monk. That was the first thing I noticed when I saw Aaron with Kurt Rosinwinkel. I love this song.

@RadiusX7 Are you serious? This song is painting a storm. Why would the guitar have a mellow tone? The guitar is portraying lightning, the bass and bass drum thunder, and the piano dark clouds and frantic wind. If anyone missed that they missed the whole song.

Nice observation! Well i would say, it's just the first 4 chords of the songs. I totally know what you mean, but there might be a slight possibility that aaron parks came up with the exact same 4-chord-progression. I once wrote a song and a friend told me the first three chords (even the voicings) were exactly the same with the ones of a pat metheny song. At that time i didn't even know who pat metheny was.

The only distinction I can think of: having never heard a piece before, I'm going to assume the 7/4 is a slower tempo than 7/8. Since these guys are subdividing once and then again, it sounds like 7/4 to my ears.
Of course, if we were in Mumbai, this would be in 14... As you say, it's how it sounds that matters most. The time signature is nothing more than an indicator.

@FSanchezmusic I don't think it's tuned in Eb, the song is in Ab minor, if you see the first notes that the guitarist plays (Bb B Ab) they're played in first position 5th string, if it would be tuned in Eb it would be out of tune.
Later during the solo you notice that he is soloing on chords progression Abm, Em, Dmaj13, Db sus (add3)...
