Brother this was a perfect video. My beeps happened over the weekend and my Merc mechanic is booked out three months. I'm going to try it and hopefully it will work.
Great video man. I'm have same issue but for some reason my 3 gallon tank is not transferring the oil to the Resivor like it should I add oil to the resivor I turned the boat on and I loosen the resivor cap but it not bleeding. What can try to see how get that working again 🤔
All of this works fine but I think I'm going to have to replace the sending unit from the float. You can see the blue wires at 3:57 or the entire tank if the float inside it is bad. Thats a $200 kiss from Mercury. Loosening the cap works great but I still get the 4 beeps so something with the oil is flagging trouble. Will I need to have a dealer clear the codes after I do all of this ? Also is there a strainer in the pickup tube in the big tank that I should check for blockage?
@@MichaelKnappFishing I had to. Found out the Mercury Dealer who sold it to me missed a Mercury recall on the gas line. That getting replaced and the new tank for 315.00 and we're off to the lake. BOAT Bust out another thousand eh?
The small white plastic one on the left side of the engine. Very spendy, 213.00 and took 4 months to get it. FYI what started as alarms also learned of a recall for the gas lines. White with little red diamond pattern. It disintegrates on the inside plugging up everything. Replace the line and filters.@@NathanCoffmanFishing
A somewhat related question. Is there a seal or o ring for the sensor on the left? A friend is having a problem with that apparently leaking and causing beeping.
SBP StrictlyBassPatrolling I haven’t done any videos on it and I’m not real sure if you can. I think the Mercury Vessel View gives you more options though
my issue is that the two large tanks will not fill the reserve even after I open the knob to bleed it. any thoughts? Is there physical pump of some sort?
lucky vang make sure that your oil tank is sealed well. These tanks works off of a pressure system not a pump. If the motor oil reservoir won’t fill you have to bad lines or a major leak somewhere
Is there a filter between the main and onboard reservoir tank? Thinking if this got clogged up it could reduce the amount of oil to this motor reservoir. Anyone??
My issue is that as soon as i turn the boat on its a continuous beep its always went from running very close to iddle speed never ran right noone has ever gotten the issue
Michael Knapp Fishing my reservoir on the motor was a tad low i filled it up let it over flow and filled main reservoir up and its still beeping not. It was in limp mode with low oil it came out after i filled it up.
Hi having the same problem i already replace the tank and did the same thing , still when i run it i here the same beep after 20 minutes , it beeps 4 beeps i open the tank the tank is low again on oil kindly if any one knows how to free the air from the oil pump it self let me know with a video thank u so much , its embarrassing my engine runs only 16 hours and its brand new ...
Thanks for sharing. For anyone who's clueless as I was a video like this goes a long way. Thanks again and keep posting.
B Gonz glad it helped!

Guess who's water ready after coming here to UA-cam University. Thanks professor! Changed the reservoir and bled it just like you said.
Tyshun1 that’s awesome man I’m glad I could help!!
Thank you Michael, I had the same issue and got it done after seeing your video 👍🏻
Mohd Abbas awesome!!! That gets me pumped when I can help someone out!

Did you leave it open for awhile? Mine took a total of almost 7 minutes to bleed less than an inch in the tank. It’s definitely not a fast process
Good job on the video

I would take to my dealer if you’re having those issues

@@noenthusiastsI’m having the same issue as you. What tank did he replace?
Also, the gas line? Where’s this located

Very helpful! Bradenton Beach
Glad I could help!
What prop are you running on the Optimax 200?
I’ll be honest I don’t remember what prop was on it lol I’ve since gotten a new boat and motor
Looks like a bravo
A somewhat related question. Is there a seal or o ring for the sensor on the left? A friend is having a problem with that apparently leaking and causing beeping.
Yes there should be a seal on it
@@MichaelKnappFishing oil is leaking out where the wires for the sensor is
@@MrFutureParadox that’s not good! I’ve never had to deal with that issue before. I would call a marina and inquire
You are a life saver
Glad I could help!!
Is the hose the connects to the big tank suction a black hose with blue line?
I’m not sure
Awesome, Fixed my problem Thanks
Donald Ticknor glad it helped!
Done the same thing. No luck getting rid of the alarm. Changed the entire oil tank and it didn’t work either. Still getting the alarm
Something else must be going on. I would reach out to a marina
When you add the oil do you have the engine running or is it off?
Motor is off when adding oil to the big tank
do you have to tight the cap again or let it that way after loose 2 or 3 times ?
Make sure it’s tight but don’t over tighten to the point of breaking it
@@MichaelKnappFishing ok thanks sr
@@juniorundersea no problem!

Thanks dude,I hope my fix is that easy.
No problem man hopefully it fixes it for you!
Michael Knapp Fishing ,well I had to replace the reservoir
Oh dang! Was it busted?
What about mercury 60cv 4t efi ??
I’m not 100% sure I’ve never had one

That I do not know! That's something I would ask a Mercury mechanic about.
@@MichaelKnappFishingTurns out there is a fine filter within the main tank. Might be worth a look as well.

How to do you get it to quit beeping after you fix it
Deer_Hunters_ Addictions it quits on its own once the oil reservoir is full
