me and my mom got my dad one of these for his first rc i have had an scx10 for 6 months but my dad never got an rc and i cant wait to see how happy he will be!
Wheelbase is exactly the same as the Ridgecrest. When I first pulled it out of the box I thought it looked shorter as well, but I put them side by side.
The only mods made to it for this video is we switched the tamiya plug out for a deans plug, and we moved the battery to the back using a 4" servo extension for the servo wire. For the filming we used both a 2s and 3s lipo.
Great music as always. Little Dude can crawl with me any time. Did axial use harder compound tire like on ridgecrest and if so WHY I miss my stock ridgcrest had blast beatn it to death.
Great bid.Just had a question for ya,I know my eye site is getting bad but does your sons Bernie have a pot leaf on the back of it??Correct me if I am wrong.lol
Hey, they made pot legal in CO. It's now considered legally "recreational" to go along w/ rc'n. Can you believe it! Great drivin by the way. Your son really showed off the Deadbolt. I wish he hadn't because now I have to go back & re-consider my game plan. Deadbolt vs Wraith??
Awesome! But to bad he wasn't really driving, lol made for a good video though :) Probably going to pick one up this week, it looks like a fun RTR rig.
my 3 and a half year old son couldn't drive like that. he just goes full throttle and turns the steering wheel back and forth...lol. He has a year or 2 before he can drive like your boy. Question, does the deadbolt body ever rub on the tires like the ridgecrest?
+RCPro Driver Ive been putting a controller into my nephew's hands since he was about that age. He just turned 5 and still wants to ram everything in sight. This child shows such skill I would be tempted to think the father was driving with the 'real' controller. Oh wait look close at 6:45

My son (4) is officially enrolled in scale boot camp tomorrow. That is amazing control for your little man's age!!! Thanks for posting!
Your 3 year old is an amazing driver
Your boy is drives amazing for his age.
Your son is a champ!

Love the video! Way better than the official axial video.

Thanks, glad you liked it, we had a great time making it.

pinkze he say " most honest and informative video of the deadbolt on here in my humble opinion , I auto' subbed as I auto' liked ! "
Yes the body will fit both no issues.
okay thanks for the answer :)
you put a 3s lipo with the stock esc and motor??
Never mind the truck!, that 3 year-old can scale rock like a friggin mountain goat!! ;)
He's got great control - a natural! I'm liking this model much more than the ridgecrest - is the wheelbase different? Seems a bit shorter.
sweet vid good stuff with lil man.
that kid has skills! nice! i just want to ask how did the tires work on rocks?
its the Tool that sold me
Yes I run most of my Axial vehicles on 2s and 3s with the stock electronics.

Your son has better throttle control and awareness than most adults, haha!!
nice video!
this is the stock motor??
looks more powerfull than the wraith
Do you know if the new deadbolt body will fit on the Ridgecrest? i hate that it doesnt have a driver..lol
Do you know what compound those tires are?
i love your intro
Hi , what is your setup ?!! motor brushed how T ? the spur gear and the pinion its look like a godd setup
Did they change the gears in them so u won't burn up that 20t
just got this. hope I didn't make a bad choice. don't seem to have all the hop ups like a wraith or sxc10
Most of the wraith drivetrain upgrades are compatible with the ax10 deadbolt since they share the same components.

Edit!!! Dad is driving....Son is holding a controller. Still a great video!

Lols cool vid, still makes me want one but at like 2:40 you see the kid just flicking the throttle trigger around obviously not driving
Is it brushless and/or lipo comparable
No its not brushless but u can upgrade to one and you can run Lipo as I do very recommended
And what plugs does it have
its a male tamiya/molex connector
Compatible

If your looking to just crawl with it the 55t motor is perfect and its only 20$ just throwing a option out there from experience
axial maxxiss trepador, i can say it works well on rock, but it sucks at sand or loose gravels
cool kid.
I'm only half as good at the controls as this kid!
my brother went up a curb and his steerung box broke.
I don;t like the dead bolt. The frame is not scale at all.
A real pet hate of mine is, when some bellend puts rock music on RC vids.
