Did you ever get into 5th gear? I only counted 4th. At you have a 5th, my 2019 Monkey only has 4. Mine is all stock with 5000 miles. I've had zero problems, and it's hard to beat Honda quality.

I was told at the dealer the other day that Honda oil that they send new bikes out with, is a special blend that helps piston rings and bore to bed in to each other better than normal oil would allow, which is why that oil needs swapping out straight after the 600mile mark or whatever!?
Beware of the stock chain because it needs tightened every 200 miles,buy a different one, also beware of the stock clutch,it burns out very quickly,buy a spare,also do not get the speedometer wet because it will ruin the digital display and you need to spend 200.00 for a new one. Buyer beware
That noise you're referring to is simply the rear crown, it's due to the material it's made of, absolutely nothing happens to the bike, also that noise can be removed very easily, changing the crown or putting a rubber gasket on it so it doesn't have the bell effect it does
For the most part I agree with you it’s one of the first things I change however I’m not going to change the ones on the monkey I feel that they fit the bike very well. But yeah, the groms are hideous
It gives it extra character that other new bikes don't have, I assume you're talking about the plaid pattern, yeah the grey is boring compared with the red but it goes well with the silver on the tank ...I think!..

Don't drain the oil just yet.
It's got special additives for the run in period, Honda says.

I don't like the 2023. why mess with a good thing. the tank still should have been half yellow and don't like the plaid seat. I will look for a 2022.
Seriously? I know everybody's entitled to their own opinion. The seat is one of the best things about this bike

It’s really comfortable but they missed it big by not color matching some yellow in it. The red bikes have a better looking seat
