I personally feel that electrical powered vehicles are really not the complete solution to environmental issues, mining damages the earth soil, we use heavy machinery which again runs on diesel or we use dynamite to blast, so the more better solution is hydrogen powered vehicles. Can you research on this.
Somehow the real end of life for battery is not in place, it will end up polluting the soil & water, which is even more concerning.

True. Hydrogen is also the same kind of thing.
We will be using electricity for electrolysis of water to make hydrogen. If water is salty, we use desalination plants (even more electricity)
Then we compress the H2 to 700psi (again using electric compressors)
      Then transport it using pipe/train/truck.
Ultimately, we use more electricity than we can use to directly charge an electric car.
For example Mirai needs 6kg H2 to go 600km. It’s estimated that each kg of H2 takes 30kWh (from electrolysis to compression, before taking account of transport).
Nexon EV can drive 200km even in most cases on 30kWh. Mirai will travel only 100km on 30kWh (1kg) worth of H2.
Tesla model S can travel 600km on 100kWh. Mirai would need 360kWh to go same distance.

You also briefly talked about battery recycling in the video, it will be really helpful if you could make a detailed video about the same, the practices that are currently in place and ideas for the future. How well recycling practices can scale considering one day most of the vehicles on road would be electric.
Also, other than EV what are other viable alternatives eg. Hydrogen fuel cell etc. What is the maturity we have reached on each of these technologies. Thanks in advance.

Still a good way to go before that happens. Uncle type people will still be Caruti Fuzuki and high mileage fans. Just few days ago Celerio next generation was launched, and it claims the highest mileage. With oil prices hitting a century many people might consider this crap tin can over the other vehicles instead of getting an EV. This high mileage mindset has to change for good, dada.

@@saran6figure lithium is mined from earth, and mining is one of the most inefficient way of extracting lithium. A VERY HUGE chunk of forests is cutted down, than that area is dugged, destroyed, degraded in such a way that the land is spoiled and forests never regrows in that area. Also than to refining lithium is one of the most water consuming process in the world. And till an electric car is ready, you have already polluted as much as a regular petrol car will do in 10 years, now imagine producing millions of electric cars. than YOU WILL ALREADY POLLUTE IN PRODUCING ELECTRIC CARS THAN AFTER PRODUCING AND DRIVING PETROL CARS FOR YEARS. Also even automobile manufacturers like toyota, volvo, etc. Almost every other brand has showed that electric cars aren't good for environment, but government all over the world in ever country are launching schemes in favor of them so that's why ever automobile manufacturer is into it because they are earning more profits by selling expensive electric cars. I completely agree with all you’ve said, but - playing the devil’s advocate - while you have detailed facts and figures on oil production and transport, your figures on the environmental cost of lithium mining and battery production are quite vague. That lends itself to accusations of bias and sugarcoating the electric side of an argument. Don’t let such a brilliant video go to waste on that account!
For the record, I just bought an electric car and am getting solar panels installed on my roof 😊

this video is biased on electric vehicle . no detailed data on coal and lithium mining. we also buy coal from other countries , so again transportation of coal will come into play. among fossil fuels coal is the dirtiest pollutant and that is mostly used to produce electricity.
At present the carbon foot print of producing electricity more or less same to IC engines.

I love electric cars, they are very expensive, very less range and you can't drive them more than 200-300kms max, batteries get degraded after few years, more use means more faster degrading of batteries, it runs on clean fuel like coal which is most inefficient and most polluting way of producing electricity, although developed countries like India is already producing half electricity of what is needed, and usa is producing 102 percent still they requested people to stop using electric cars during the shortage in summers in California, and they are environment friendly, huge forests are destroyed to mine lithium which is very environment friendly and saves environment, I feel very good after driving them it feels like I am saving the world

EV adoption is accelerating every year. Exponential not linear. The only limiting factor is batteries.
The number of electric vehicles and types of vehicles and trucks is growing.
Many people are holding off buying a new car or scooter until the electric vehicle they want becomes available.
Electric vehicles are just better. No noise, no emissions, less fuel costs, less maintenance costs and amazing technology. Gasoline and diesel are OLD polluting technology. So last century. Electric cars, electric trucks, electric buses, electric trash haulers, electric snow blowers, electric lawn mowers, electric weed whackers, electric hedge trimmers, electric snow mobiles, electric water craft, electric garden tools, electric mechanic tools, electric motor cycles, electric bicycles, electric scooters, electric farm tractors, electric construction equipment, electric delivery vehicles, ...... everything is going electric. No worries about starting after sitting for a few months. Gas always needs repairs. If you care about the future for your children care about climate change

When I'm touring in my car, I drive for around 500-600kms a day. I think that EV range needs to improve a lot to convert me. Contrarily, I don't travel a lot in the city and I don't consume a ton of fuel as I barely drive 500kms a month. So it would be needless to buy an EV as a second car to daily drive. My car literally idles for a lot of days.
I would like to know if it is okay to idle EVs for months and still hold some power from their previous charge for driving later. I'm also concerned about the longevity of the batteries and EVs in general. IC vehicles can easily last for more than a decade.

I can’t say about supplied electricity being “green” or “less/more polluting”… every city in this world doesn’t depend on one definite source of electricity, so it’s dependent on the government to supply electricity. For me, as a common man, availability of electricity is more important than the “source” of electricity. I can’t be expected to jump @ joy for electricity supplied by hydroelectric methodology, or sit and brood over electricity supplied by nuclear energy. Again as I said, there’s no one definite source of energy for any city in the world and so talking about this aspect is pointless and foolish and laughable. Let the government subsidise solar panels and I will happily generate my own electricity. Until then, detractors are requested not to break their heads and Sanity over inconsequential matters like these.
