PR was handled badly, fact. The court of public opinion is always harsh, fact. Do i think hes dodgy? Most likely. The only other fact i can give, is that we dont know everything. We dont know the finer details and we do know that the case was dropped, social services are satisfied, and her own family are content with him. Hes in the public eye, so its difficult. But ultimately its not for us to pass judgement on the case. Utd and Mason need to be better with communication, else it'll never be possible to come back. And i doubt they can do better on this now...

@@richardjones8699 it's a shame to lose the talent, but then he's not the first to come through the ranks and never fulfil what could've been. At least most never make the first team, so we don't get quite so excited about the prospect. So, as I say, it'll be a shame to see him do well elsewhere. But the bridge definitely seems well and truly burnt with the fans and the club.

Good grief it's like listening to children listening to these boys discuss the Mason Greenwood of it all. It's really straightforward. Utd have a player whose value is about 40 million quid and they're holding out for that. If they don't get that, they're going to integrate him back into the team. Apparently that's really hard to understand.

I don't understand why a basic principle of humanity and the law--forgiveness--is inapplicable to Mason Greenwood.
If the club is ok with being associated with letting rapists and domestic abusers represent them, then they could bring Greenwood back. If the club prefers to not have that stamp they shouldn't let him anywhere near OT. Evidence and witnesses withdrew as is common with domestic abuse cases. Charges were "dropped" because he was allowed to repeatedly breach bail, continue to coerce and then impregnate his victim.

Handling the Mason Greenwood situation is tough tbh. In the court of public opinion he's guilty 100% even though the charges were dropped. Does it make him innocent? Of course not but he isn't guilty by law. Greenwood was supposed to be integrated back in the squad last year but it was met with public backlash and outcry from everyone. Manchester United handled this very poorly and had to loan him out to Getafe. Now we're back to square one with Greenwood again and again the fan base are split. One hand Greenwood is talented and could have been the key to our revival to the top, on the other hand there's too much heat on his private life concerning the audio clip and images that is made public 2 years ago. No one knows what really went down on that day and that's a fact. If Greenwood was bang average then his contract would have been terminated right there and then the moment he was charged but he's a talent and if Greenwood has no future in Manchester United then it's best to cash in on him. It's clear the heat he has still remains today and the majority of the fans wants him gone. It's best for him and the club.

I think the pile on on Mason Greenwood by some sections of the united fan base is disgusting and smacks of bigotry and double standards. Especially when Rashford is touted as academy product one of our own who should be given chance after chance. I dont think the reaction from some would be the same if there wasnt a young white girl involved. Personally i think there are other reasons not to have Mason back such as question marks over his attitude being similar to Sancho and Rashford an entitlement that Ronaldo spoke of. But the judge jury and excution attitude based on inconclusive evidence that some have taken makes me side with the kid.
