America needs to be honest with itself, the founding fathers never envisioned a diverse nation where people lived in racial harmony. They just wanted to get away from England and its Monarchy rules, they wanted a Europe in America minus a King's foot on their necks. If you dont believe me go to the naturilization act of 1790 by the first U.S. President and first U.S. Congress and look at the only people allowed to become U.S. Citizens. This stayed law until the 14th ammendment in 1868, an admendment Trump has vowed to get rid of when he takes office. The goal has always been a homegenous country of Europeans. Even Abraham Lincoln said in 1862 to free people of African descent, when slavery is over European Americans will never see you as equals, and he even said that all people of African descent should leave America for their own good and those of his own race. Lincoln said to those who did not want to leave, that even the people on his side would not want them to stay if their whole popu;ation was free! They dont teach this in school but Lincoln writings are availble for all to see. It gave me a more pessimitic view of things because we have been living a lie so long!

We were delusional. Delusional to think that we could just ignore that our candidate pledged her allegiance to a foreign, white-supremacist apartheid state that is currently committing a genocide with weapons provided by her administration, and that we would not be punished for endorsing that, because that is what we did. We didn't push Harris to speak in defense of moral decency, the right that ALL people have to defend themselves. We made excuses for why that wasn't "our" problem. I agree that those of us interested are “not normal”. And to be honest, as a Canadian, I’m embarrassed to admit that I pay very little attention to our politics as I know the outcome won’t affect my life that much. But THIS election was so different. Why, as a Canadian, am I so invested? Because I know its outcome impacts the world. Because I saw it as a struggle between justice and injustice. I had so much faith that people would reject this man who had caused so much pain for other people his entire career. People lost their businesses (and lives) due to his actions long before he became a candidate. I had faith people would finally see him for what he is, what he’s done and give him a thumping. That is where my disappointment is overwhelming. My sadness comes from knowing how Harris’s policies were setting America up for a path to some of the securities we enjoy in Canada. I was so excited for you guys. Maybe in 4 years the pendulum will swing hugely to the left, and the American people will be open to these more progressive policies. I haven’t lost hope.

I sensed it when she didn't receive the same enthusiasm Obama got, even as the first black woman to run as a major candidate from black women(that Janet incident). The US inflation and her steady stance on the Israel-Palestine war didnt help. Then she started running around with Cheney instead of Biden, Obama and Bernie and many saw her as Hillary 2.0..... it was a wrap after Florida went to Trump!
I'm finding out that whiteness, proximity to whiteness and the economy weren't the only reasons people voted against their best interests...it was also an astounding amount of ignorance. I mean really, look at the number of Trump voters who didn't know that the ACA and Obamacare are the same thing.

Not delusional but the expectation wasn't warranted because the candidate of VP Harris didn't differentiate herself from the President because there was no difference between them given all the things happening domestically and globally and couldn't address them substantially. We voted early and made sure we were out of the country for the election. We were far away. No news for us. We were disappointed but expected the result. I tell my four daughters daily, nine out of ten people you meet every day are stupid. Don't follow the stupid.
@EnzroGreeidge you're being generous with your figures.
Not delusional, hopeful in believing in America !
Protect the kids
I was very optimistic about Madam VP's chances due to what she was able to accomplish in 4-5 months..👏👏👏
My Motto is pretty simple..
If you give up your agency, you lose by default...
I'm a product of the "Keep Hope Alive" school of thought and that informs my context in which I see things..😢
I was born and raised at the tail ends of the Civil Rights movement and the Vietnam protests, so that frames my world view that there will ALWAYS be forces against righteousness.
That's how I know that the fight is worth fighting, not just for me but for everyone. 😉
My 0.02 worth. 😂
And now they even ended up with a King and they chose it.
You're 1000 percent correct. And with you knowing all this how could you be bamboozled by Liberals and thier fake kumbaya attempts. Is it the Disney fantasy that you believe in because history tells us the Dems are wrong
This has nothing to do with Kamala Harris. I, too, was hoping that Americans would vote for a better tomorrow. I have just shut down since the election. The thought of 4 years of low functioning men in a position of power scares the hell out of me.😢
God is in control and Trump 2024!
@@ladyt4062low functioning women too.
We played a dirty game, agreed to their dirty rules of engagement, and have ourselves ended up in filth.
I understand and hear I loud n clear I’m already moving g out of my toxic rural area where I never truly belonged in the first place. I feel I need community protection and that’s how we survive because “it’s going to be a strange time”. But we ready!!
Happy Friday Professor Hunter and commenters. I was ignited with VP Harris being the Democratic nominee and was very hopeful she would win. I was the same way with Secretary of State Clinton.
I wasn’t delusional I was hopeful that everyone would want to see peace 😢 I was definitely wrong
@@SweetTreatsBy_Marie PEACE? lady, Biden started up the Ukraine event. Harris left the border open. No wars during Trump 2016-2020. So what peace do you speak of?
Two minutes in and the guest is giving the best analysis I have heard thus far.
I wouldn’t have my kind of life if I wasn’t somewhat delusional. I totally believed she would win .
Yes, very delusional. She couldn't answer straight questions with straight answers.
Thank you😂😂😂😂
💯💯💯
Like rump could answer a question straight,
When Trump was up by 230 and Kamala was at 198. I knew we were in trouble. I went to bed and woke up to folks crying.
I was hopeful. I don't want to live in the DIVIDED STATES of America 😢. I have complete distain for DONALD J.TRUMP.
THE stench is back in the White House. Yuck 🤮

We were just hopeful. Kamala was perfect for the job - she deserved to win. Our hearts were open.
Yes! this right here! ❤
Nope, she fooled plenty of people! Even Obama didn’t endorse her right away!!
Really?...how? How was she perfect for the job?
@@FactsOVERfeelings2024 she is an experienced public servant who presented a platform of ecomic policies that would benefit the middle and lower classes.
@@karlaschmid8757she presented nothing of the kind.
We can’t give up! It was so excited to think that a very well educated black woman could hold the most powerful position in Amerikkka! Racism, misogyny and ignorance won over democracy!
Yeah, you were😁
Yes! I never thought she had chance to win the election. I voted and hope she would win, but deep down I knew she wouldn't win.🤷🏾♀️😢🤦🏾♀️🤔
If she won, we would have eventually been disappointed with how she would have had to compromise.
She was compromised from the start.
Educate, educate, educate. People need to know how they benefit from programs, what programs they benefit from and who creates and then keeps these programs in place. What congress members support these programs. Also, they need a simple explanation of what the government consist of - such as - military, education, medical, etc. All this needs to be in a 5th grade readers language and it needs to be available everywhere and in every way.
No I don’t think we were delusional. Her winning wasn’t an outrageous thing to believe. We weren’t delusional when Obama ran. But I think we were hopeful that we could defeat tyranny. I still believe we can.
Yes... y'all crazy 🎅🏿😂
we're not. you're immature.

I would not say we were delusional. I would say we were hopeful. Only one candidate actually campaign
I'm finding out that whiteness, proximity to whiteness and the economy weren't the only reasons people voted against their best interests...it was also an astounding amount of ignorance. I mean really, look at the number of Trump voters who didn't know that the ACA and Obamacare are the same thing.
America needs this 4years of hell there about to go through but I still wonder if the mega crowd is going to make excuses for him!😈😈😈🤣
Naaaah. They remember how good they had it 2016-2020. Money in pockets, low interest rates...Yelp they want more of that
She was never going to win. Yet she ran the perfect campaign. It’s not on her.
I agree, so what do you say about the pollsters saying "Harris is winning" and showed us numbers that were soooooo far from reality???
@@NickyM1964It's called "lying by omission"
@kalalakpay I agree, she was not going to win even if she ran a perfect campaign. Let's be honest she didn't run a perfect campaign. However her campaign should have won because the other guy's campaign, rhetoric and policies were extremely horrible....farrrrrrr worst than any mishaps in her campaign
She is no way ran a perfect campaign. She ran it on the strength of hoping people would not like Trump and vote for her
@@NickyM1964 Agreed. Delusion is believing in something where there are a number of counterfactuals. In this case, 1. Here rallies were well attended, and highly energetic, while Trumps were boring, lightly attended, meandering. 2. The Democratic convention was lit and energetic and the party seemed very united after the debacle they did to Biden. 3. She handily won the debate against Trump. 4. There were so many active groups raising funds for her--over $1B. 5. She did everything they said Hillary Clinton do and much more. 6. Poll after poll and and those just days before the election had her winning the majority of the swing states to the point she could lose PA, and she would still be winning. 7. The far left was on board and saw her winning. 8. We got a number of serious Republicans stumping for her. 9. MSG Klan rally and upsetting Puerto Ricans. 10. And the most important, it was Trump.
I absolutely deluded myself lol. I'm not positive or hopeful a lot of times but every now and then I let that side of me plea its case...and he's always wrong lmao 😂😅
1:48 no, we’re not normal. It’s shocking how many Americans don’t know or care about what’s going on. They’ll be crying under this Trump regime, though. It will wake them up.
People said the same thing in 2016. Like this dude hasn't been president before.
People said the same thing in 2016. Like this dude hasn't been president before.
The unfortunate thing is that many of us will suffer the consequences of their ignorance. These consequences include Medicare, social security, higher drug costs, higher mortgage payments and even food inflation.
Not delusional but the expectation wasn't warranted because the candidate of VP Harris didn't differentiate herself from the President because there was no difference between them given all the things happening domestically and globally and couldn't address them substantially.
Brexit could have given you a glimpse of what to expect but how many people were looking at the UK.......?
Yes...
Yes!
I will never criticize the VP because she had a super short runway to work with. She had so many headwinds and still nearly stuck the landing. My view of this country has changed however.
Yes u all were delusional and rocked to sleep by CNN and MSNBC.
Hell yes!
I can really relate to this conversation. I’m not as educated as you two, but as a former “street dude “ I’ve never been that normal because I’ve always been interested in being educated 💯✌🏾
Completely deluded!! The writing was on the wall.
a third of the electorate did not know there was an election. the folks paying attention like us, we not normal. :)
Is there is a source for this? Analyzing the exit polls, I'm seeing a third of Joe Biden voters missing from the electorate but can't find any media mentioning it.
Delusional and idiotic
Wow. All truth. And I was reminded that the same people who voted for Trump will be the same people who will be outraged when he pardons the people for Jan 6th and every police officer convicted of killing a black person. They will be free at the expense of our freedom.
No they won't. The only people that will be outraged is you.
We had the audacity to hope.
we did.
I DON'T TRUST GOVERNMENT, PERIOD,.. democrat or republican.
I had conversations with my friends, one voted for Trump, three voted for Kamala, ALL of them saying, "they were voting for the least evil." 🤷🏾♀️🤷🏾♀️
My response, "I don't vote for ANY EVIL." LET the chips fall where they
may. ✌🏾✌🏾

Such a great conversation!
Yes you were delusional 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Trump 2024 MAGA 🙋🏽♀️💃🏽
I knew the immigration thing was the number one issue. My fellow Democrats were naive to think other issues would override that.
Yes
Who thought she was going to win.( I certainly didn’t & I don’t even vote.)
As always!
5:26 WOW... This is a Megabomb of truth here
I was hopeful, not delusional.
In 2019 Kamala ran for the democratic nomination against Joe Biden and lost big time. I think she only got three percent of the nominee votes . Moving forward Biden needed the black vote so she became the vice president candidate. In 2024 the democrats started with Biden and he was replaced by Kamala after a horrible debate with Trump. How is it that so many women are upset she didn’t win. Show us from the first time all the way up to now that she was going to win.
No, she got 0 votes in the 2020 primary. Again, ZERO votes!!
I’m not normal. I’m okay with that. I have to worry about my elevation.
I thought with coaching VP Harris would present herself in a better light. Not sure what happened.
Yes I would've been more surprised if she won.
Thank you, Dr Hunter and Tyler.
Some did not realize that wicked people do not care about morales, character and rule of law. Wealth, power and deceit is their way of thinking!!!! The appointments mean brace for the fallout. We good and ready for whatever!!!
Good to be hopeful but I knew she wouldn’t win! America hasn’t changed as much as we may think!!!
People are selfish and uninformed
Its a damn shame after all that's been said and done - we have NOT YET come to terms with the truth about it! Steady "asking questions" steady "getting answers" but receiving NONE!

No we were not to be completly honest we made a mistake of letting Joe run initially its was unfair to Kamala no one have only had 90days to mount a Presidential campaign for people to know what we were missing 25k was a game changer for new home onwnership renting should always be short term not a life style. If she could have had more debate look how good she was.
After the way this country started and the history of this country why do we think it will change
The people who stayed home are the biggest disappointment for me.
Lmao 🤣😂🤣
@princellasmith7562 Why? If I could have voted, I would have voted for Donald Trump. Just cause people getting off the couch doesn't mean it was going to be for the Hyena

Dr. Hunter you have got to see the “I Am The Law Of Moses” episode of “The Chosen”.
It’s a powerful scene great performance from cast and crew. Just like you said…you can see the psychological turn of the congregation in the temple.
I too thought Kamala would be president.
But I severely underestimated white status quo politics.
