- Super Metroid has one of the best soundtracks of any videogame out there, so I decided it would be cool to recreate it in high fidelity using hardware synthesizers. It's been a fun project and I hope you enjoy it!

This version of this song is so under appreciated it actually disgusts me. I've shown this to everyone I know who loves synths and/or super metroid and so should everyone reading this. Let's get some more support for Luminst!!!

I’ve never heard versions of Metroid songs that I felt were truly what the originals were intended to sound like, until now. You are incredible. You totally get what Metroid should sound like, vibes and all.
It’s nearly 3 am, so apologies if this comment isn’t very coherent, but I really feel the need to compliment you!!!
I came across your NES re-synthing only a little while ago (at, uh 2 am), but I’m a HUGE fan. I love synth music, and you’ve given all of these tracks a lot of atmosphere and /feeling/ that the original machines couldn’t manage to pull off.
It’s a crying shame about the copyright, I’d be /glad/ to give you money for this experience. I’ll be looking forward to any more of these remasters you end up doing, no matter how long they take :)
*_YES YES YES._* My favorite track from my favorite game, in analog synths. Gives it a really nice, deep feeling. My only criticism would be I think the bit at 1:21 is a bit _too_ echoey, but that's my opinion. Otherwise it's really nice.

I like how distant the lead sounds there tbh, but it does make it feel like it's supposed to come back for a second time with more punch and volume. Part of the limitations of working with the original arrangement, it makes sense.

Unbelievable. Such a rich and compelling atmosphere the OST added to the game and I think this track adds to it without taking ANY steps backwards which can't be said for other covers. Well done!
The one that sounds kinda like something from traditional Japanese music, but like underwater. I always imagined it as that, like towering traditional Japanese buildings but with technology integrated within it, and it’s submerged in water completely but the lights are still on and this music echoes through the area.

This is fucking amazing, I’ve always loved Metroid games for many reasons but it’s unique choice to try and make the player feel extremely alone in an alien world is unlike anything I’ve ever played. Back when I played these games as a kid I absolutely loved em playin them for about an hour every other night before bed, now as I’m older for unrelated reasons I’ve grown a fear of being alone yet I still BADLY want to come back and play these games. You fit Metroids atmosphere so well dude, You gotta try doing this with the other Metroids. You got a talent

Always thought this track had Reznor vibes. This version sounds like it’s off The Fragile. So good.
All these songs really bring back memories. This was probably my most favorite game along with zero mission. I’m so glad to live especially this track through a synth aspect. It makes me feel very happy. Can’t wait to see other tracks. :)

Thanks for the music, man. And doing collaborations with other channels is a really good way to get the word out and spread your work. I wouldn't have found this is it weren't for the music in Summoning Salt's metroid world record progression video.

This is such a remarkably competent complement to what is a remarkably good soundtrack. As Battlefox64 has suggested, this is something that's good enough that I've actually brought it up in conversations and physically made people go to the computer and check it out.

A couple of days ago I found your NES Metroid Synth and absolutely loved it, then I went on to Super Metroid. I really hope you're able to make more of these someday, but if you're done with the project, I understand that too

this version is more aggressive compared to the original, which by no means subtracts from its quality. its just different. the original one was laid back. love this version too.

Mentaclink God I hope not. I just want a sequel to Fusion. Super Metroid is great, or at least good enough that a remake feels really unnecessary.
Its not the first time that something that sounds as good as this gets praise from Nintendo and doesnt get approval from them tp use their copyrights (see formation of id Software as a reference).

You capture the soul of the game, i think the metroid creature died above you...now the next game should capture yours.
This is a superior cover to the Micheal Lemanti version, the only thing it's missing is the choral voices samples to make it perfect, but I get that it would mean sampling the original which would shut the whole cover down. Still fucking dope as shit.
Need some vibes before Dread is upon us tomorrow.
The ONLY thing it is missing is that synthisized vocal sample. That really made the original feel so raw and dangerous
That being said, all of these remixes are incredibly, this analog 80s sound is perfect for the aesthetic of these games.

Ah, so that's where the spazer is hiding...
Now don't get me wrong, this music is amazing and so is the other content from this channel, but there is something about this music that I disagree with. throughout it, there'll be like this horror violin noise that I think is really unneeded because one, it adds too much noise, and two, it gives a feeling of inhospitality which I don't think fits well with red Brinstar.
I see what you're saying and no worries if you disagree, but personally I think Red Brinstar should feel inhospitable - which is why I choose specific sounds to evoke a feeling of quiet, mysterious danger. Samus is traversing alone on an alien world after all :)
I think I now know why the licensing was rejected, a lot of Super Metroid's OST was resused / remixed in their Metroid 2 remake on the 3DS.

ah btw there's a hidden gem in mega man one which is dr wily castle part 2 (it sounds in lvl 3 and 4) which is absolutely awesome (very intense and anxiety inducing) for some reason literally nobody have ever remixed it well but I think its perfect for your style and for the ms20.
