What struck me listening to this interview and I'm finding it difficult to put into words, is that the questions asked are very telling of society today. Society has absolutely lost its moral compass. I think when you used that word "Moral", you reminded Laura and listeners about the lack of existence of morals. Well done and thank you for speaking up for the family unit and parents and of course, the innocents in the womb ❤️🙏
Very refreshing to see a political leader speak common sense and actually give clear, well thought our answers rather than have to dance around a party line. Credit to the interviewer she was not the usual "outrage merchant". If people in Scotland give this interview the time deserved it should resonate very well. A very well handled media spot, well done Richard and the SFP!
Top marks to Laura who was very well mannered and 1000 times better than Martin Geissler who was dreadful. Well done Richard you did really well 10/10 sir 👍😎✝️🏴🇬🇧
Something's starting to stir.Because Richards party is the only real opposition. All the other party's provide no opposition to the SNP and don't talk about these real issues affecting the real people.
It's good you're getting the exposure and your performance has been excellent. It's time 'progressive' was removed as a description of the SNP, it should be far left. They label Le Pen far right every time.
Well done Richard...you held your own..you were short, clear and concise...and also brave with these BBC BLEEDERS...God Bless You...and the very best of luck to you and the Party for the 5th of May...
4:55 - it's traumatic for a family to be broken up if a man leaves his wife and children whether it be for a man or woman. Of course they should be able to get counseling to protect their existing marriage. How can anyone be against that?? 10:00 cost of living - I would like to see a party do something about care charges for families with disabled adults. Quick example - a young disabled man living at home with his family getting 12hrs a week of care in the community is charged almost £300 a month. Almost the whole of the care component of his DLA despite the family doing the majority of the care. Another young man in 24/7 supported living is paying the same amount because once you go over 4hrs a week they charge the maximum they can.. But, in another local authority neither of them would be charged anything!! It's a postcode lottery. Unpaid family carers are already struggling but the care charges mean some families can't even afford to access help from their LA. I get so upset seeing money spent on "pet projects" while so many families are struggling. If we all put our disabled adult children into care facilities LAs would go bankrupt!
Whilst the genuinely disabled struggle, there are many others claiming DLA when they don't employ or need any care at all and just use it as pocket money for their drink, drugs and smokes.
@@Isisbridge I agree there are people who either play the system or people who need other help (mental health support for example) that isn't available to them. Having said that apparently DLA/PIP is one of the least fraudulent benefits although I don't know the most recent statistics.
I think in all honesty that the BBC let you speak. Although speaking with a moral compass leaves you on thin ice and easy to contradict. Its a shame you couldn't speak as you do here and be able to explain yourself and elaborate where needed within a time frame. So every Party has 10 minutes to push their Manifesto without interruption. That would be a fairer way to go and would stop any bias media intervention. Good Luck in the upcoming Elections, if you had a candidate in Midlothian you could have got my vote.
You acknowledged my situation! I'm single, live with house mates, so basically renting a bedroom and kitchen space and right now I'm not having problems with cost of living. I get enough money through disability. I though I must be the only one!
I left school 5 years ago. It was dinner ladies. Dinner ladies are many many peoples lived experience. I don't actually know the gender inclusive term or how I would refer to a man doing the job. Dinner man?
My concern that this is been taught at schools (nz starts this next year) that sex is fine ... they get pregnant... its okay have an abortion any where up to 22 weeks i think you said? (Nz is anytime as long as you arent in labour) and then take organs!? Sounds like a money making machine set up at the expense of our youths mental health
Good interview, handled honestly and maturely by Richard. I would have liked it if the Interviewer had asked Richard to define what a “woman” is as it would have been novel to get a straight answer from a party leader to that question.

Well done Richard 👏
Biggest challenge is getting Scots who agree with you to speak up and to shed their fears of losing their jobs, etc

Scotland needs You
Scotland has the party, what the party needs is the people!
0.4% of the vote in 2022 local elections? Aye, I think you do!! 😂

Well done all at Scottish Family Party

They have had you on a few times recently. Think the interview was reasonably fair too, challenging but allowed you to answer.

Excellent, Richard.
Super stuff.......I'd love to see sturgeon handle questions like this.
What an outstanding interview, Mr Lucas. Well done! Praying for you and your family.
You spoke very well, good job.
You would get my vote if there was a candidate standing in my local constituency. You got my vote in the last election.
So clear and on the ball. 👍
REALLY admire you Richard, thank you.
Can't say I agree with the majority of what you had to say, however, you spoke very well!

These folk really have lost the plot!
Well done, Lucas! keep the good work! God is with YOU. Blessings
So refreshing to hear common sense in British politics. Best wishes Richard from England.
