I retired last year from public school, and have been a part time potter. Recently, I started trying my hand at copper wire jewelry and really enjoy it. Now thinking how to incorporate my pottery with copper wire....hmmm. I'd like to try my hand at using the copper washers to create pieces that would hold sea glass, as a group of friends and I brought a load back from a trip to Bermuda. Thought that would make an interesting gift for them all! I'll be poking around your other videos for thoughts! Thanks for the inspiration!
That sounds awesome! Have fun!! ☺️💜
So unique! Love this idea of using washers! Thank you for sharing! 🤩
Thanks for watching! ☺️💜

Thank you for this Tutorial. I had wondered what to do with my Giant Washers. This gives me great inspiration ❤❤
Fantastic! 👍🏻
I love the simplicity yet elegance of this. I bought myself a box of copper washers similar to this almost a year ago after just starting to play with wire. I have made a half a doz pairs of earrings or more from them and absolutely love hammering them. I must try this pendant now. Thank you for sharing. Liked and subscribed ☺♥
That’s awesome! ☺️💜

Looks great.
Thanks!
I don't know much about the polishing pieces. Do you have a video that teaches that? I love your work
Just happened to make one! ☺️

I love it❤🙏
Thanks! ☺️💜
Melissa, unfortunately I don’t have the creative mind that you do so am so grateful that you share your ideas! I do have a question…would tumbling your piece result in the same finish as all of the polishing you do?
I still need to buff out knicks and scratches but after that they come out really nice. It burnishes the metal.
You would have to be more careful if you have stones set in them.
@@ZurickDesigns TY for your quick replies! Could you give me an example of stones NOT to tumble?
@@pamcrotty7717 find out the stones hardness. I try not to go under 6 and even then I won’t tumble more than an hour.
I Love how you use washers to make great Jewell pieces....I have a question tho please....can get washers on Ebay..but they say they are oxidization resistant...is there a trick to get them so can use Sulfur on em please.........Thank you so much for sharing your skills with us..Take Care....hugssss
Those you found on eBay sound like they are coated and won’t oxidize. I get mine from Amazon. I have a link in the description
@@ZurickDesigns Thank you muchly...hugsss..
Gorgeous design! Do you have a video going over what heads you use for your flexshaft?
Funny you ask that. I just got it and it’s my first time using it 🤗
Simple *and* gorgeous for that exact reason. Quick q: same technique if I use square wire?
Sure! I would probably use half round wire to wrap the bail instead of the weave.
@@ZurickDesigns perf. Thanks. You answered my first *and* second qs!
This is gorgeous! What size jump rings are u using?
Should be in the description
I love this project. I had a hard time understanding the weave though. Was it one complete rotation over bottom then top then both and then repeat?
Over the top, around one wire once, around the bottom then around the other wire once and repeat ☺️
@@ZurickDesigns thank you!
Интересно
Hi! Nice one! May I ask where you bought your nylon pliers? Thank you very much!!!
Amazon- Nylon Jaw Pliers- amzn.to/2UKqEQm
I can't tell what you're doing when you weave at the beginning. Do you show this in another video? Thanks
I don’t have a video but I believe it’s a modified soumack weave
By any chance do you know of anything that can be used to antique jewelry other than liver of sulfur?
I’ve heard of people using hard boiled eggs. I don’t know how effective it is.
Hi as you was wiring I was finding it some what difficult to keep up on how exactly you was wiring to make that effect. Help please
what is the tool you are using to hod the two wires

Okay, I'm a beginner. What is the tool you're using to hold those wires? Where do i get one?
This one?
Wire Jewelry Cushion Clamp: www.wirejewelry.com/special-offer/Wire_Jewelry_Cushion_Clamp_Pack_of_1-29530-.html
Great tool!
Hi , new to wire weaving and I can't really see the weave. Can you tell me the name of the weave please?
I believe it’s a modified sumac
May I ask where I can find the tool you are using,
The clamp??
Wire Jewelry Cushion Clamp: www.wirejewelry.com/special-offer/Wire_Jewelry_Cushion_Clamp_Pack_of_1-29530-.html
Dident really see how you got wire started I’m having trouble with how to secure wire before starting to wrap
What tool are you using to hold your frame wires? Where can i get one?
They are cool!
Wire Jewelry Cushion Clamp: www.wirejewelry.com/special-offer/Wire_Jewelry_Cushion_Clamp_Pack_of_1-29530-.html
❤❤❤❤
Did anyone catch the length of the bail
Thank you for a wonderful, tutorial. May I ask what you used to hold the wires while weaving?
This awesome clamp

May I ask where you got your clamp? I really like it because it's much more compact than what I'm using. Thanks for your help. Beautiful work and I really appreciate you sharing your abilities.

@@ZurickDesigns Thank you so much. Ordering today. I believe this will save my wire and fingers.
@@maclawyer1 I love them! They come in a pack of 3
Beautiful piece but difficult to follow the video with all the jerkiness and jumping, and flipping the piece over. A bit more explanation of what you're doing would be great. Do you have videos that are actual tutorials and not just watching you make something? I'd be happy to pay for an actual tutorial.
I don’t have any formal paid tutorials.
Thanks for the feedback!
Good to know!
Gorgeous ❤️❤️❤️
