Certified glider after 2 hours
Death trap after 2hrs 5 mins......
More like 45mins...its a minimum 2hour charge time.
Oh The Humanity !
I’m glad it has two batteries.
Ya range and speed
Ufffffffff......❤
ATC: Pipistrel 00MT cleared for takeoff runway 13, staying in pattern, extend your upwind 4 miles for incoming traffic on your downwind. 00MT: Unable...
Good Luck.
What does a lighting strike do I wonder ?
About as much use as a chocolate teapot/motorcycle ashtray!
Ya gotta start somewhere
Go to any flying school and ask what most of their aircraft do most of the time...
It's usually an hours worth of circuits.
What they really need here is two sets of batteries, one set always on charge while the aircraft is flying. There's typically a half hour between each student, so the battery is doing more than 1:1 charge rate.
The interesting fact is that all pilots will have to go back to learning how to land properly, with NO engine! Time to relearn the glide approach.
(4.5k hr ultralight instructor and glider pilot)
Nothing like spending thousands of dollars to develop and build an inferior technology.😂😂😂
If i recall correctly, per FAA rules it has 20 - 25 minutes of flight time with a 30 minute reserve. Was told by salesman its use will be mostly for flight training. But most flight schools have back to back lessons. This thing has to sit almost 2 hours between lessons for charging. I just dont see the rationale?
Once you get a Power source that 3 to 5 hours soild no matter what.
Then 1 to 2 hours of flight training will possibly become SOP
It's a great idea
Only problem is a power supply that's
Able to Crank out the power for long range flight
But at one time the SR 71 would have been a fool's idea and the first aircraft were little more than LSA into days world.
In fact many of the LSA today's world would easily out perform the early aircraft.
If you never try you will never fail
Better to fail than not try
It's electric and you plug it in."" 😅
What's the range and speed?
200km and the speed is 180 kmh
flame on
Very Cool! Who makes the electric motor?
No way man
super cool ... 3 phase power LOL
This will be up there with the Hindenburg.
Coming from a pilot umm no!
You can use it to drain your wallet.
50 minutes of flight time and FAA requires 30 minutes of reserve for day VFR, so it's technically 20 minutes of flight.
That’s what I thought at first, but after looking at their website is says that the 50 minute range is before the required 30 minutes of extra flying required by the FAA
@@landonturley1582 Maybe a good plane to practice takeoffs and landings, but still not practical with the range.
Needs turn signals and brake lights, Taxi to the closest grocery store to charge up. Maybe the seats lay back, rest n charge 🤔
A great plane if you're wanting to do 2.5 laps in the pattern before needing to recharge for an hour to do another 2.5 laps.
It's range is 200km and it's probably gonna be used for pilot training.
50 mins? 🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️
The electric airplane is absolutely the most idiotic idea ever foisted on aviation.
All electric vehicles be it cars, planes or motorbikes, they're all re-volting. Or they won't work.
bad pun
@@art200216 No it was actually genius..... re-volting? lolololo!!!
Must use a long extension cord. 😅
I would love to learn how to fly in these.
Whats the use case?
Pattern work, everything other than crow country flights
Who the F has access to 3 phase power in a hanger????
You can charge from single phase, so the fact is has the capability to be charged from 3 phase is NOT a limitation or hindrance.
About 45min of flight time... not particularly practical.
Practical enough for pilot training
no alternater lol ev are a scam
Thanks but NO!
Nah thanks
Bah!Tão ficando loccos,estragar o charme a aviação,dai nao né!!!
Useless …. Totally absolutely useless.
Woke plane
