6:30 how is where is the water meant to go if the perforated pipe is capped on both ends going into the basin
We only want the surface water to go into the solid pipe. That's at the top. The pipes that are at the bottom are the perforated pipes, and the water travels back and forth between the two pipes at the bottom flowing to the sump pump discharge system.
Nice work that is a crap ton of water it is moving. Would have been to see the yard during this as well.

Next time-and there will be a next time-I just had to keep moving. I was looking at a lot of systems. I like to see our systems under stress. I was on the road all day. I do have more footage from other systems from this storm. Stay tuned.

I need this in my yard! I have a pond in the back and during the rainy season the water table is so high, my laundry drain field doesn’t work.

Looks like my situation, flat. Except I have Texas clay and can drain to a ditch. I’m doing almost 300ft so no way I can do 1% grade, ditch isn’t that deep and I’m restricted by how close I can get to it.

@@FRENCHDRAINMAN doing exactly that! My parts order arrives Tuesday from you guys. I’m still dealing with Beryl water so I’ll have to wait for it to dry to trench this clay. It’ll be a multi-stage process. I’m using natural low spots out back as my collection points then move it out to the ditch. Because we have so many frogs and snakes I’m going to try a pop up on the end.

Not super relevant to this video but quick question. We are getting landscaping and sprinklers done in the fall. I am thinking about doing the downspouts as well as a yard drain before hand. Do you think it would be a problem to do this before grading the land? What about before sprinkler were installed?
After grade work and sprinklers so the line doesn't get damaged. Go with a kit that works with sprinklers.

Hey boss, does the 12×12 grate yall sale replace the grate on the nds catch basin? 1 of my projects consists of replacing a failed basin with a perforated pipe system 😒 now i know better.

Thank you for asking. Yes, we made sure that the most popular basin that has been sold for the past 40 years, which is in every box store, is compatible with our 12" x 12" turf plate. We've taught you that those do not have any sump at all to speak of, and we've proven that. However, if you have an existing system that is not eligible to change out the basin, our 12" x 12" turf plate will improve it because the grass will not grow over the 6-inch round grate.
6-inch round is 28.27 square inches area (πr²). 6x6 is 36 square inches.

I see you are in Florida, do you guys have to carry plumber license to do these drains. Just wondering I not even sure here. But, any fields for septic requires a licensed plumber. Except for pumping tanks.

I can’t drain with a 1/2hp Zoeller fast enough. Any suggestions?
Run a duplex system and add a second half-horsepower Zoeller M98. For 100% protection, have a separate circuit run and a different plug so that if one pump trips a breaker, the other pump can still work to help minimize flooding.

That's what the contractors in Florida are telling me. Single pipe 6" wide French drain systems are doomed from the very beginning. Because they have catch basins, they'll act as a yard drain until they're plugged, which is the reason the catch basins are installed and recommended by the handyman. That way, they'll at least take care of the surface water for a little while. Once plug, he just ghosts the homeowner.

If the rain is over 3 inches in an hour 1/2hp Zoeller can’t handle the volume.
I am well aware of the limitations of these sump pumps. That's why we installed duplex systems.
