    If you think about it, Ed and Al are the last humans other than their dad to have Xerxien blood. That’s why they have gold hair and eyes instead of the blue eyes most amestriens have.

      Yeah they basically the last alive Xerxienses in a world. So in a way they have much more rights even than Scar to desire revenge at those who wants to create a philosopher stone.....

    FYI: young Hohenheim was voiced by the original Al in FMA 2003 all grown up

      They switched Voice Actors? Kinda sad. In German Dub when we finaly got a dub for Brotherhood they got basicly all of the original 2003 cast.

      yeah, that's the problem with casting actual children going through puberty.

    I love Mustang and Hawkeye’s relationship, just so much mutual respect and they’re both super good at what they do

    Fun fact, the first character all the viewers see when they start the show is the character who was at the source of everything, Van Hohenheim. He was the very first character shown in the first intro, but it was his younger self. So for first time viewers, it just looks like a more mature Ed with his limbs restored and with his ponytail not in a braid.

    Best reveal of all time no doubt. Found out so much. How Xerxes was completely wiped out in a day (they kept mentioning it over and over and since they mentioned it I was wondering), finding out that essentially Hohenheim is the father of Eastern Xingese Alkahestry and Father is the creator of Western Amestrian alchemy, how Father and Hohenheim look alike and have immortality, that they both have so many souls inside them. Ahh just too damn good.

    • @fravocado88

      was always curious if Father had less souls due to creating the homunculus..

    I love watching your reactions to this show but your enthusiasm for this episode was something else!! Keep it up 👍 And the fact that you went into the episode asking for the exact same things that the episode delivered shows just how amazingly in-tune you are with the show!

    The looks on your faces are gold!! Finally, we can talk about this major plot point. Hohenheim was forced into his immortality and had to watch all the people he knew die before him. If it was me, I would go insane!
    I'd say the Xerxes event happened a few hundreds years ago. Both Ed and Ling visited the ruins on separated occasions too.
    Lastly, I hate to be that guy, but you missed the end credit scene. But it's not that important anyways: Ed unknowingly makes ironic remarks about the philosopher's stones.

      it was 400 years ago right before the creation of Amestris

    • @lazyshoggy
      @lazyshoggy 2 роки тому

      Falman talks about that a few episodes ago (episode 35 if I remember well). Amestris was founded around 1550 with the Rivier incident. I don't know how many time it took for father to think about his plan before setting it into motion, but I doubt Xerxes fell before 1500. That makes roughly four centuries for Hohenheim.

    "Fun" fact about the Father before the grave and the family portrait episode: This is one reason Hoenheim was so direct with Ed about how he ran away from the human transmutation. After what happened in Xerxes, all Hoenheim wanted to do was run far away from Xerxes, and put everything that happened out of his mind. And he did that until he started researching what exactly was done to him in an effort to undo it so he could age and die with his wife.
    And when he did that, he realized what Father had actually done, and that he was doing it again with Amestris. Had he bothered to understand what happened earlier, he could've prevented multiple genocides, and he wouldn't have had to abandon his family to try the much more difficult task of preventing it now. So when he saw Ed was doing the same thing he did, it was important to him that Ed didn't make his same mistake any more than he already had.
