Check out my small update to this deck where I change 2 cards and give you a more comprehensive strategy guide to Yubel in Edison. ua-cam.com/video/FsTVCBdUYh0/v-deo.html
I used and customized your deck and implemented it in Over the Nexus....and DANG IT WAS AWESOME!!! So effective to use Terror Incarnate effect as the looping summon for Doom Shaman. Makes me really love my Yubel deck. Love EDISON format Subs you because of this vid
This deck is giving me some nostalgia myself. The list is really close to my Yubel deck my dad and I made when I was in middle school, I don't remember all the difference but I do know I had more protection stuff like My Body as a Shield and Dark Illusion, also Savage Colosseum to try to force attacks. One of my favorite decks and some great memories. I don't play Edison but realizing I can play my old Yubel deck makes me want to at least rebuild that old deck.
Hello there ! Really nice video, and it's nice to see people spending time on Yubel too. I'm trying to adapt your ideas into a pre-synchro deck format im playing with friends. Since Imperial Iron Wall isn't available, what options would you consider sliding in to protect from the numerous dimensional prisons or bottomless trap holes ? I've been thinking about maining 1 or two burial, or adding backrow removal but I'm not sure yet. Also since we dont have the synchro win cond, I was thinking of adding another target to Doom Shaman. Maybe a Caius or two ? We get tributes materials with mystic tomatoes and can discard him with Grepher if we brick ? I'd really like to have your opinion on that one ! I really enjoyed the match replay you posted on your channel for Edison and I hope you'll do more this is very fun to watch ! Keep up the good work
Before Synchros I used to use Sacred Phoenix of Nephthys with Treeborn Frog, and some Ciaus too. To prevent banishment I would use Interdimensional Matter transporter. It can be used defensively to dodge banishment or offensively as CL1 to bring out Ultimate Nightmare and push for game. There is also Dark Illusion (not sure if that came out before synchros though)
Card Destruction is a -1 and Morphing Jar is a good card with the potential of giving you +4, but I don't run it cos it's not easy to activate flip effects in this deck when terror is almost always on the field wiping my own board.
@@38YubelMaster1 the -1 is well worth it if you can unbrick your hand. There is a reason it's limited in the format. And in decks like this it is an absolute must in the maindeck I'd take out trunade for it...trunade is not good anyways if you dont have an OTK deck. If you try to bounce your limit reverse by trunading it to trigger yubel, they can chain icarus attack, dust tornado, MST, raigeki break, gemini spark (all very common cards in edison) to destroy your limit reverse first...then yubel misses timing and you just lose
@@KompletterGeist Card Destruction is at 1 because of dark worlds and ftk decks like empty jar or exodia. For any other deck that runs it, they run it because either most of their deck needs to be in the grave, or the deck is inconsistent. It's a good card for the decks that use it, and a necessary card for bad, inconsistent decks. Never did I say that this deck is inconsistent. It's not a top tier deck, but I fixed the consistency issues this deck had from my old builds, where I ran too many tech choices of graveyard cards. If it was that old build, then I would have considered card destruction. but why play card destruction to fix an inconsistent deck when you can fix the inconsistency itself. I fixed the inconsistency by making sure HALF the deck is dedicated to getting just 3 dark monsters in the grave. Getting the first one makes limit reverse live, and getting the 2nd makes every other spell live, and getting the 3rd gives you the ability to use your spare spells to deal dmg with lv 8 synchros. It's a simple 3 step process that doesn't need help from card destruction. Also the "MST limit reverse to make Yubel miss timing" is an unfortunate situation that sometimes happens, but it's not a reason to not run trunade. It's just something that happens and there's nothing I can do about it but complain about how underpowered Yubel is XD. But this deck needs trunade to guarantee that final push for game because often the enemy has a lot of set d-prisons that don't get used. It's also useful for guaranteeing your doom shaman doesn't get bottomless'd if you don't yet have your iron wall. And of course there is the synergy with reusing your traps. I don't mean to be dismissive though, I appreciate you brining this up as it allows me to explain the thought processes behind years of theory crafting.
you ever thought of replacing the gozin or maskes in the side with pulling the rug. Since the gozin rulings in eddison dont stop caius and this deck feels very weak to the monarchs
That's good to know that Gozen doesn't stop Monarchs, but I would probably just replace it for a 3rd mask of restrict. Floodgates are better than pulling the rug imo.
2 is too much for sure. I used to run Level Eater, and I cut it so that I have less chances of drawing weak cards. However you can defiantly experiment with 1 level eater to give yourself more synchro options.
Yeah you're right, I need to remember that, thanks for telling me. But it you can still torrential on the next summon to get out terror so it's still worth running, it's just not as efficient as I thought.
Really excited about your list! I was thinking about the Stardust / Terror Incarnate interaction you mentioned. Wouldn’t Startdust make TI miss the timing?
Nope, the effect for stardust to summon itself activates in the end phase. And Terror's effect get's negated and destroyed, so since it's effect got negated, it can't make itself miss the timing because even though terror effect was chain link one, it gets negated and destroyed when the chain resolves, so either way, the destruction will be the last thing to happen and Terror triggers summoning Nightmare. I've tested this in EDO pro, and just double checked it, so this interaction is all good. :)
Yep, I used to run it, but it takes 1 more turn after the first 3 to dump to the grave so I cut it. I know it's harsh but the deck is too clunky to afford luxuries like Plague.
@@hollowman3997 So yeah when playing Edison we all use the pre-erata versions for all cards. Including Ryko making things miss the timing because the effects are sequential.

clean decklist to be honest. have you tried plaguespreader?

@38YubelMaster1 how do you pull it with no earth tuners on your deck or side deck?
