It's so very difficult to choose between Rafi and Manna Dey. Both are just so superb! It's also difficult to between Padmini and Ragini. Both are such exquisite dancers!
There is something curious about the raag of this song : Most sources say it is in raga Lalit and in fact the basic melody or bandish in teental implies Lalit , but towards the end they make sargam taans that imply raag Miyan ki Todi . Same happens with the bandish in Ektaal - implying Todi ( by shadja shifting or graha bheda it is in fact the same tone material . ) . These sargams end in high Sa implying Todi , but if it were Lalit they should have sung ma ...
I wonder why there is no mention of the singers of last piece i.e. the KATHAK BOL, the Taans and the Dhrupad in drut ektaal.... seems to be some legendary classical singers....

Travancore sisters, sans Lalita have performed much more complicated dances compared to the present one in Tamil and Malayalam films. Ragini's premature death must have been a blow to her family as well to film fraternity!!!
Going by Manna Dey's live shows, one can be sure he does not go through several takes to to get a song right.Further, at higher pitches, Rafi's voice at times becomes squeaky, but Manna Dey's voice stays.

Jagadamba R Ragini was always slightly better than Padmini, she had a more athletic build, Padmini was bigger so she wasn’t as fast, both beautiful and technically amazing at their craft
