If you're looking to get into vr but don't have the money for a quest 3, wait and get the quest 3s. The quest 3 is by far the bast all around headset on the market rn. Sure theres things that other headsets do better but they also lack in some things as well. Plus the library of games is huge on quest and you don't have to be tethered to a pc at all times to play. All for less than half what you'd spend on a pc vr setup.

Thankfully the new arkham shadow game for the quest 3 is making up for the shortcomings of arkham vr.

You skipped over the 90s PCVR scene. Headsets like the VFX1, Cybermaxx, and i-glasses. You could play Doom and Descent on them.
