    That rough and bumpy skin is probably keratosis pilaris. It's super common and hella annoying.

    Thank you for mentioning Seche Vite! I am a mother of two and I dread spending so much time painting and drying my nails just to have them ruined. I went right out to buy it and it has been a life saver! I now look forward to paining my nails again!

    OMG! People think I am crazy when I say fragrance-free products have a distinct "fragrance-free" scent. Glad I am not the only one who feels that way. 😊
    I really want to step away from dry shampoos - they make my hair feel so damaged and dry. Maybe I'll try baby powder. The reason I haven't so far is because I don't like the scent. 😝 Do you find it lingers?

    • @LacyNicoleG
      @LacyNicoleG 9 років тому

      Haha I was thinking the same thing when she said that! They have a very specific smell.

    • @strgazr04
      @strgazr04 9 років тому +1

      "Fragrance free" does not mean that there is no fragrance. It means there is no ADDED perfume to the formula. However if the ingredients used to make the lotion, for example, already have a scent to them then the product will have that scent. "Fragrance free" is more in response to some companies that add perfume to their products to cover up the scent of some ingredients. For example, Burberry highlighters are often perfumed with their fragrances.

    • @IsaGiorge
      @IsaGiorge 9 років тому +1

      Nope! Baby powder on the hair wont linger. Your hair will feel a bit.. dusty though like powdery and thick haha idk how to explain that

    • @smRRmn
      @smRRmn 9 років тому +1

      Try baking powder, baking soda, or corn starch if you don't like the smell of baby powder - they do the same thing but no baby smell! :)

    The little bumps on your arm is called keratosis pilaris. It's something that I have and almost every woman in my family has as well. It is VERY common and it is hereditary so see if anyone else in your family has it. It's basically just a type of eczema that will never go away :/. What you can do to help make it smoother is scrub the parts of your arms that are bumpy with a wash cloth when your in the shower and as soon as you get out, apply an ointment (my dermatologist recommended Aquaphor). Ever since I've done that, the bumps have gotten a lot less rough. Hopefully this will be of some help to you :).

    Try these nail drops from essence... they sell it at ulta... One drop on each nail and your polish is dry to the touch almost immediately. You can also put that sally top coat in the fridge for about 20 minutes before you use it, it'll thin the polish out thus making it dry quicker ;)

      Lacy Nicole i bought them on a whim and now I can't be without them! I paint my nails at LEAST 3x a week and can't handle sitting in one place for more than 5 minutes. Try using cuticle oil over the whole nail after using the drops. I learned this trick a few years back; if you bump into anything the oil creates a barrier and prevents smudges ;)

    I cannot trust Seche Vite or any other fast drying top coat. I use all different types of base coats and color polishes and for me to get a manicure with no smudges or dents it has to be 40 minutes to 1 hour of drying time. It may be my own nail chemistry. I just find a movie or show to watch, relax and try not to stare at the clock the whole time. lol.

      For some reason Seche Vite never really worked on me like the way it seems to work and do wonders for everyone else that talks about it here on UA-cam... Have you tried Poshe top coat? 💅 I got it from Sally's on a whim, and was amazed that it FINALLY did the trick for me! Truly does dry completely through and it dries pretty fast and is super shiny!

    Nicole Guerriero The rough and bumpy skin you have on your arms is called Keratosis Pilaris. It is very common (50% of world's population), and I also suffer from it on the back on my arms. My dermatologist recommended exfoliating with salicylic acid, using KP duty or AmLactin. Anything with Alpha hydroxy acids (AHAs) are good. The new Goldbond lotion you recommended is also good!

    Nicole, you should definitely try the LUSH Cosmetic's dry shampoo called 'No Drought'. It's cornstarch based so it's still a powder (it looks just like baby powder). It's full of citrus essential oils which help to absorb excess oil, add volume and a fresh scent. It's amaaaazing!!

    Hi Nicole!
    What you have on your arms is called Keratosis Pilaris, or "chicken Skin".
    I work at sephora, and everytime somebody comes in with this condition, we always recommend Murad Acne Body Wash.
    Even though it isn't acne that you have, the wash has medicine in it that helps with inflamed and irritated skin. It contains
    green tea and licorice root extracts that help with your problem. My co-worker has the same condition, and she uses the wash, and it has helped her dramatically!
    I hope you see this, because I would love to help!!!

      It also has Glycolic and Salicylic acids, which help even more :)

    For the bumpy skin on your arms I would really recommend to scrub it in the shower and then follow with Bio-Oil!! I swear by that oil - I use it for all problems with my skin! You should really try it - I started using it and afterwards my skin felt perfect for a long time. Bio-Oil has like a manual on how to use - something like two times a day for 2-3 weeks - but I saw results way before that!

      Bio oil is the best oil! I am obsessed with it. It got rid of my dry patches on my face, good on cuticles, on brows at night. Plus the smell is very nice compared to other oils like Argan oil which is too thick for my liking.

    Nicole Guerriero it's called keratosis pilaris! I have it too! It's also known as chicken skin and I could exfoliate and moisturize a million times a day and still not get rid of it completely. I've heard coconut oil helps with it and my doctor actually said if would tan that would help with KP too.

    Nicole... I work for a dermatologist & those bumps behind your arms are called Keratosis Pilaris (KP for short). Don't ever pick them because they will scar &/or discolour. Moisturizing is your best bet! Try "Dream Cream" from LUSH... it was work wonders on my KP situation.

    the bumpy skin on your arms is called keratosis pilaris aka chicken skin. I have it. Its a skin condition there's no cure (usually goes away after you're 30 though) but it just basically means your body produces too much keratin and it needs to get rid of it somehow so it excretes through your pores and traps the hair follicle causing it to become a bump. hope this helps someone lol :)

    I've had red bumpy upper arms mostly in winter. Went to a kineseologist who said its a lack of oil in your body recommended taking coconut oil and flax oil orally. It really helped with the arms.
