    Justin Trudeau and Jagmeet Singh are the main 2 reason I left Canada. They are terrible and their parties are destructive for Canada.

    Completely agree with everything you said. The quality of life has only DIMINISHED throughout my lifetime (40 years). More and more people are accessing food banks and falling into poverty and homelessness everyday, and politicians don't care because they are all rich and more concerned with making money for their friends and their own careers.

    I was born here and it's getting really bad. The price of everything skyrocketed in the last 3 years, the house prices literally insane (I was looking at houses in 2019, got a good job and boom prices went out of reach), there are huge layoffs happening now too, the wait times for health care is insane. The government is insane, it is like they looked up some the worst policies in history and started copying them thinking they will work this time. They let Quebec do even more insane crap too. This is complete failure.
    I have a family doctor, and he's just too busy overwhelmed, but I had what "info sante" deems potential emergency so I went to multiple walk in clinics (walk in is not walk in anymore, you have to make an appointment, even for what they call minor emergency, days and even weeks in advance) and couldn't get any appointment sooner than two weeks. I literally had to go to private to find out it was very important and get recommended for priority scans. I could have went to emergency but literally 2 people I knew just waited there and left not being seen, one was over 15 hours and the other left at 22 hours. They are too overwhelmed. Insane. People don't understand the money and time we have to put into this stuff just to be seen. And this is after the insane taxes we pay without even benefiting from it properly.

      Healthcare seems to be a major reason why people are leaving or considering leaving

    I am Canadian living in Canada for 38 years and what I see is just so terrible I have no words to describe. I have no doctor for the past 5 years and Ministry of Health is sending me letter twice a year telling me that they are aware of the situation and are looking for that. They put quotas on medical students, so this is done purposely. On my street most of the people don't work. All people who live here are from India, Jamaica and Arabic countries. They all rent basements for other people (not relatives). Not sure if they really declare these income and pay taxes for that. Food prices went up well over 100% within 2 years. The stagnation and life deterioration is so visible year to year. I saw a couple young people living in bus shelter and police arrive to frown them out.

    I immigrated to this country 20 years ago and am a Canadian citizen as of now. The countrys state of health care is super concerning for me as my parents age and I gotta start to tend to their needs. I will be saving up till 2027 (why 2027? because hopefully after the next election I'm hoping the new party might be able to reverse/revert some of the damages and bring back affordable housing) and actively looking at better countries I can move to with my current skill set which can be beneficial. I love Canada but I can't take the heavy taxes with no seeming benefits, a broken health care system and a shitty government that likes to censor and force vaccines. Things shouldn't be forced on to citizens plus all these liberal scandals with Trudeau are not just embarrassing but also stealing from his own citizens its disgusting.

    2022 data on statista website is showing approx. 50K people leaving and separately Govt stats show 500K entering country and then you have international students and work permit holders on top it. So I think more people are still coming to Canada than leaving.

    Thing is most Canadians never go to let's say Denmark, Norway they go to any developing country where the currency is so devaluated so they see that it's affordable but in reality it isn't, otherwise they wouldn't be relying on remote jobs earned in dollars. Sure it's the deal of their lives adding that they don't have to pay any income tax as they're not working for a local employer (and why would they anyways? They don't wanna earn a salary that can perfectly go below 100 dollars per month and working the double they used to work here). But in the end this does more harm than good toward most locals, they can never compete against someone earning like 20+ times than them and adding they don't have to pay a single cent in income tax and the ones who can compete with them can even be less than the 5% of the population. Cities like Medellin Colombia are a prime example of this.
    And this is not a tendency among Canadians. Aussies, Americans, West Europeans do this as well and the reasons are almost the same.

    • @GoExploreMatt
      @GoExploreMatt 10 місяців тому +1

      Yes this is also happening in Mexico, earn Canadian dollars and live for cheaper well hurting the locals but part of the reason this is happening is because of the cost of living crisis happening in Canada

    Canadas population keeps rising because of how many people want to live here. People come and go in every country of the world that is nothing new. We have an increase every year in population which makes this issue of people leaving worthless.

      @@GoExploreMatt The reason these people left their home country in the first place is because their quality of life there was not very good. My father immigrated to Canada in the 1950s for that reason and everyone else that leaves their home country does it for that reason.

      As someone who was born and raised in a third world country Canada is still far away from being one. Believe me, try to live as a local in a third world country (with a salary that can go below 100 dollars per month and working the double if you actually manage to find a job) and you'll see that even being homeless here is better.
