I also play all the male gunners. Scouter is my main and I use both builds. Even though you just basically read the community guide, I appreciate you putting in the time for those too lazy to read or are visual learners. Cheers!
I really appreciate you coming here and saying all of this. I too loved me some Evo. I honestly thought the Evo Scouter would become my main, but the front attack reliance without super armor started becoming a bit much with Akkan. I had always thought AT wasn't smooth until I did the 422 build. I was always trying the min/max 322 with carpet and it felt awkward. Which is why I'm trying to promote this build more so more people try the scouter out. Feel free to join our Discord and come hang out we've got NA and EU players on it: discord.gg/WNeGj7RQd4
Happy to help, let me know if you have any questions. We also have a very active and tight knit discord community you'd be welcome to join. We have NAE and EU players on it.
You're welcome! Something I've been trying lately that differs from the vod is putting Conviction on the Raid Missiles and Judgment on Strategic Fire instead of Avalanche. What this does gameplay wise is frees up Avalanche to be paired with Baby Drones toward the end of the rotation (Roll > Missiles > SF > EB > Roll > Annihilation > BD > Ava) . Since Avalanche is your one counter, it being available for longer gives you more chances to help get counters. It's one of the downsides of the class (in either Evo or AT) is they put main damage abilities on the one counter the class gets.
I main AT scouter. Personally, with 422 salvation, i don't believe you actually need a CD gem for mobile shot. Again, like you said, it could just be a hands thing. But I think even without the CD gem, as long as you take the quick prep tripod, you are left with 1 second where you don't have mobile shot's buff. Yearning + reload buff, you're probably movement speed capped without it. It's more important to keep it up to cancel out mass increase. I know with my setup, 422 hallu, i'm at movement speed cap without mobile shot. The reload buff will give you 5% movement/atk speed. With that said, salvation gives you the luxury of cancelling out mass increase with the set. It's not as important to keep it cycled constantly, just whenever you can. But with hallu, you will need to maintain it for comfort. The blue/yellow skill combinations will vary depending on player preference. For me, I like pairing raid missile with strategic fire. But again, personal preference, doesn't really matter. Lastly, you have battery saving mode for annihilation mode. It's useful. To an extent. I would try out the range tripod and see how you do. I find there are some fights where you can get very high uptime, like throughout all of voldis, akkan, and g2 thaemine, where you'll probably be battery starved without it. But with this setup, you'll free up a tripod for damage on avalanche. You'll also run a damage gem on avalanche instead of a mobile shot cooldown gem. It's not a lot of damage, but it adds up over the course of a fight. Just a side note. You're actually missing quite a bit of crit for critical elixir. It's a good setup for hallu over salvation as long as you're already maintaining mobile shot very well. Remember, every hit that isn't a crit, it's like not having your elixir set at all. So it's very important. I think the breakpoint is 70% for non entropy classes to run critical, and 82% for entropy. This is to make sure your efficient with your elixir set. I think for salvation to work properly, you will need a full crit build. (1800/650) Something like that. You're still in need of crit syn, but lucky for you, you have precise on your bracelet. I run both builds, hallu for when i have 1 or no crit syn in my party, and salvation for 2 crit syn party. Thanks for making this video. Not a lot of recent scouter stuff. No one plays it. I hope others make one.
Really appreciate you taking the time to leave all this info. I do like having the extra swiftness, but it would be interesting to try full crit with salvation at some point. Appreciate the support and positivity around the guide. Looks like I could collab with you on the next one!
I believe either one can work you'll just want to fine tune your crit if you run Adrenaline 3 since you're adding an extra 10% crit to that. So you can run all Crit Accessories (Crit/Swift Neck) with one ring that is Swiftness. So like 1580 crit / 850 Swiftness. Then instead of Hallucination as your primary gearset you go Salvation. Cause typically you'd swap between Hallucination and Salvation based on having a Crit Syn in your party. Whereas Adrenaline 3 would act as that. I personally would go this route as you'll be attacking faster and it'll be more fun. Just try to maintain your Adrenaline stacks as they become more valuable to you.
Gems might influence our differences, i used blazespot vids and kanima on twitch as guides. With quick prep 5 and 800 swift mobile shot should be off cd once the buff ends on second cast. C/J on raid missle C and strat fire J (harder to miss with push immunity tripod) also full range proc imo. Also can you share salv set build, does it require Lvl 9+ cd gems for max uptime. Thank for vid, mokoko scouter main here.
Part of the reason I made this VOD was actually due to my frustration with Kanima's approach to Scouter content. I wasn't able to easily find answers to questions I had about the build and playstyle. Then when people asked beginner questions about AT during his stream he'd say things like, "I've already answered that question in content I've made." Not to mention he's hard to understand sometimes. I'm unfamiliar with Salvation builds and how you'd pull that off without losing damage versus Hallucination. I don't feel any sluggishness to the playstyle with Hallucination so it seems to be a good route since you need the Crit. I'd assume you'd run Master Elixirs (Crit ones) if you were doing Salvation and then try to get Precise and Crit Stat on the Bracelet. Then go lvl 3 Adrenaline on top of that.
AT is always going to have a higher ceiling since there are tripods and more damage/cd gems available to further scale each of the abilities. I switched from playing Evo for a good while to AT mainly because I thought it was nuts that they made the top damage ability a front attack counter. Which would work if you built the suit around being a front attacker (having push immunity and the shield going away doesn't remove Ironman.).
haha, that sounds about right. Skill-wise they're about the same cause you need to animation cancel when you're Evo by properly timing your drone recall during the blue skills (X). Then Front Attacking is no joke.@@Jimmy-zu2ks
When we get the KR balance patch, Evo and AT will be identical in terms of damage. Both have their pros and cons in fights. But it looks like SG will need to take another look at AT down the road and push the damage higher since the investment just doesn't make sense when evo is pretty much the same and better in some fights.
So 0.4% difference between full crit salvation and Not full crit Hallu. BUT hallu run out battery faster=>Salvation wins. and no one talk about 3 3 2 salvation.

Is AT Machinist better than Evolution now?

I don't have any battery issues with hallucination?
Better to have C/J combo on Strategic fire,
Can you elaborate?
