I love that despite knowing it's just going to sit in a garage mostly, they're still putting the time and effort in to make it as professional and finished as possible.

@cetinagar - I believe the previous narration was their natural accent, and the new narration appears (to my ear) to be AI generated, which just sounds wrong, in general, to me.

Hi guys. I'm from Philippines and i've been following your work regarding this Cyber Van since last year from part 1-3 and no videos after that and so I thought you guys just lost interest on it, but last night it just came up to my screen that you guys continued it, so I watched all night until I fell asleep and woke up with different video playing, so I look for transmission part where I think I fell asleep with and from there I continued watching this morning. I been dreaming for these since 2020 with a semi-square steering on it and 2-Pedals, a shift with high-low gearing and a reverse, 2 person at the front, wide wind shield with the same body and in black color. and so you guys made one with lights I never had an idea. This is amazing and I loved every bit (ofcourse I still need those I mentioned above hehehe). Until now I intend to finish watching all videos related to this Cyber Van. What you guys made here is might be a focal point for these car industries to create one also for the market so I suggest you should patent that Cyber Van before it's too late. You guys blew my brains out hahaha. Thanks for reading, Cheers!!!

The bigger achievement here is getting a rigid substrate like Polycarbonate to “boil” with a “hairdryer” no less, people please don’t ever dry your hair with a heat gun! I’ve moulded poly for aircraft canopies - you need to create an oven for the large pieces and bend them uniformly while they are pliable.

Hey guy, best way to bend/melt polycarbonate is to use an oven with controlable temperature so it heats your parts evenly but like you mentionned you need support to avoid dips and by using the oven you won't get bubble at all.
Good project, nearly there keep pushing

to bend your PC sheets, take some glass wool insulation, the heating filament of a toaster oven. Place the filament on top of the glass wool, use some glass matting like from fiber glass making and but the PC sheet on top. This way you should get a much more even and controlled heating of the PC.

You need to use a oven to bend the plastic in such a big radius, put the flat sheet over a wooden mold and gradually increase the temperature over night (do not rush it, it needs time to get a even shape) until the sheet has formed to the mold.
Keep in mind that the ends always will “flair out”, you can not avoid this, you need to cut this off after bending so you need to bend a bigger sheet to start with.

you will need to build a mould with the same curve (perhaps a wooden one) to bend the sheets. then place it under the hot sun and place weights on the bottom end so the sheet will bend naturally and fitted on the curve. i have done wide area 5mm thick sheets but never 8mm - but i think it will work under hot sun for the entire day
