Good to know it's a sign of healthy soil. I had a ton of these coming up in my lawn and was getting worried. It's been a super wet September here in central Texas. Thanks again Doc!

Here in Houston I have huge toadstools growing in the yard. Another blogger said it could be from dead tree roots in the grass and to dig holes around it, drop in dish soap. We'll see if it works!

I cut my trees down about 7 years ago. Been dealing with a small case of them since. I read that dead roots are the cause. And my lawn is very healthy also

I love UA-cam. This morning we saw mushrooms in the lawn. My wife asked me to find out how to get rid of them. Came to UA-cam and your video pops up with the answer. Thank you.

I am glad you said that a sign of mushrooms in your garden is a sign of a healthy lawn, because I lay my new lawn only 5 weeks ago and I thought that I had bought poor turf. Thanks, I shall look forward to viewing more of your videos.

I was thinking the same! New sod went down 3 weeks ago and lawn is FULL of mushrooms. I thought it meant I had gotten a bad batch of sod.

Those things are a pain in the ass in the fall around here. You are the only one I heard address it. Everybody else says there isn't anything we can do

Starting to see these in my yard here in Hawaii. Typically sunny and dry on my side of the island but since we hit the rainy season I’ve noticed a few hiding under tropical plants in my garden area.

I get these little balls (white or pale yellow in color), and once they have been punctured or agitated with movement (weed wacker)- they kick up a dust cloud (yellow or lime green in color). What are those???? And how to treat? Thanks.

Hey Doc. Love your channel. I’m also in north GA. Usually when you post something about yard issues I’m actually having that problem at that moment like the mushrooms. Been noticing mole holes popping up in my yard. Any ideas.

Thanks Doc! So the cause of fungus is... hot sticky damp weather and a hot sweaty environment for the fungus in the lawn.... catch 22 hey of having a nice lawn and watering regular in warm weather.. on that and decaying roots and mycelium in the soil

If they are lawn mowers mushroom (Panaeolus foenisecii) they should have a black spore print , and also probably came from your mulch behind you

When the mushrooms start growing on your loan that means you have a heathy soil! I have some on my lawn. I do not care. I keep them there . JUST Cut back on extra water.

I went out to mow my yard today and found a huge crop of mushrooms under my white spire oak tree. This was a first. Have never had this happen before and in this heat. Been really dry and hot lately, so why now? What caused these guys to suddenly show up now but never in the 20 yrs prior? What could have possibly caused this? Im baffled and these are no small white shrooms. These are pretty bigguns.

Boomers sure do love their lawns, don't they? My grandma and grandpa were really into gardening, their garden even won awards and made it into local paper, but being in the Mojave they were sort of limited in what they could grow. Anyway, they're yard was garden beds and trees and shrubberies and boulders and shit like that, BUT they had some lawn in their, too. It looked very nice and was great for laying out to look at the night sky and in its heyday there was nary a blade out of place. But once the crab grass finds its way there it's an endless battle and after awhile they just had to let it happen. They were both rather old and their health was failing and nobody had the gumption to salvage it.
Why did I say all of that? I was thinking out loud via keyboard. Something about boomers loving lawns... Well, anyway, lawns are bad for the environment, for the most part. But personally idgaf and if ever I have a yard all to myself I'll at least have a small patch of soft grass to lay on
