I was in the army based in (West) Germany at the time. We used to get services TV and radio stations called British Forces Broadcasting Service (BFBS). One of their radio DJs referred to Bros as "Dross" every time one of their songs was played. Most of us agreed I'm afraid!! 😆
53/80 example: Billy Idol- White Wedding 1. Living In America- James Brown 2. Elton John- I'm Still Standing 3. Dead Or Alive- You Spin Me Round 4. Taylor Dayne- Tell It To My Heart 5. Mike Oldfield ft. Maggie Reilly- Moonlight Shadow 6. ABBA- Super Trouper 7. Laura Branigan- Self Control 8. - i guessed George Benson for artist and couldn't think of song title 9. - 10. Fine Young Cannibals- She Drives Me Crazy 11. Cutting Crew- Died In Your Arms 12. Technotronic- Pump Up The Jam 13. Whitney Houston- I Wanna Dance With Somebody 14. Madness i guessed Is This Love for song title 15. Lady In Red i guessed artist is called Peter De Burgh, but it's Chris De Burgh 16. Weather Girls- It's Raining Men 17. The Jam- Town Called Malice 18. Cindy Lauper- Girls Just Want To Have Fun 19. Kool And The Gang- Get Down On It 20. - 21. Spandau Ballet- Gold 22. Paul Young i guessed Power Of The People as title 23. Kajagoogoo- Too Shy 24. Alison Moyet didn't know title 25. Gloria Estefan and Miami Sound Machine don't know the title 26. Imagination- Just an Illusion 27. - 28. - 29. - 30. - 31. Heaven 17- Temptation 32. The Bangles- Walk Like An Egyptian 33. Duran Duran i guessed Hungry Like a Wolf as title 34. - 35. - 36. Soul II Soul didn't remember song title 37. - 38. KC and The Sunshine Band- Give It Up 39. WHAM!- Club Tropicana 40. Blondie- Atomic
We didn't keep score but I'm pretty sure we got most of them between us! Mind you, we are old 😂 We all went, "Awww 😭" when it finished, we wanted twice as many!👏👏👏 Great stuff as always, much appreciated 👍
73/80. We were born in 1981/1985 so weren't really round for most of this at the time, but we do like a bit of 80s. Most dropped points were on artist names. Only one song that we hadn't heard of, the one by Imagination
I did better than I expected - 64. That was a real walk down memory lane. I was obsessed with that Martika song and I was so impressed with my brain when it randomly spat out things like Taylor Dayne and Johnny Hates Jazz. It must be decades since I’ve heard any of them.
This was hard--I guess that's what happens when you randomize. I nailed some that I think aren't widely remembered because they were particular favorites, but I was surprised at how many failed to ring any kind of bell. Could be my faulty memory, or maybe they were just more popular somewhere else than they were in the US. Fun, though, as always.
Got most here. Even those I couldn't remember the title or artist for I still knew the song itself. I really, really want to go on a rant about the filter of time still not making the 80s any good but I've just come off a very long shift so too tired.
@arthurjarrett1604 oh do feel free to rant away (if at some point you decide you want to), I'm always interested in hearing music opinions. I myself do enjoy a lot of the 80s music, although that's not to say there's some stuff that I just don't quite get. Maybe it's just because I find anything better than most modern music 🤷♂️
Again brilliant well done favorite song atomic by Blondie in this quiz, but the time and effort you put into these quizzes is remarkable, i because of my age pick the 60 or 70 for your next one but that's because i am biased and thanks for doing them
Bros - Yes! Always loved that song.

@@HelmutVonDogbiscuit I can tell you like the 80s from the fantastic score 😲 not many dropped points at all 👏

Well done to you... or maybe well done to your brain on pulling those answers out 😁

Great quiz. Next try 90s my favourite decade. By the way Cut N Move are from Denmark.

An excellent choice with Atomic too!
47/80 (+3) recognised several others but didn't remember artist or title.
As usual, a great score. Thank you for doing so many quizzes, I really do appreciate it 👏
